Agar carefully watches the mists swirl you aren't able to tell much but you know this mist is not natural though I doubt anyone is particularly surprised by this information.
Jonathan -- You look carefully for tracks of the beasts but surprisingly you don't see a single track. They just seem to disappear about 50 feet from the giant stall wall and it's cervices. It's very peculiar. You also note that each of the breaks in the rock wall have a strange green-black goo lightly speckled on the stone.
Gunthar smiles at Calwin, "You are rather clever man Mr Calwin"he says as the white sword appears on his shield. "I rather like that look perhaps when this is over I shall use some of gold to make this mark a perment symbol of our company!" He clasps you on the back "Careful in their my friends"He says to all of you as he and his group walk slowly into the right most cavern.
Similarly Saria nods and head into the left most tunnel. Her weapons are drawn and the white sword is proudly displayed on the front of her light armor.
Anything else before wander into the final, central tunnel?

You take your que from the other groups and head of into the cavern. As you round a bend in the canyon, you come to a place where part of a limestone wall has sheared off. The resulting rocky scree is covered with a mat of irregular fungus, with some toadstools reaching the height of a man. The collapsed wall has not completely blocked the passage, and there is a 10-foot-wide path of relatively flat ground that the wagon could easily move through. The cavern continues forward and bends a bit out of sight.

You look carefully at the fungus but unfortunately there is nothing that you can recall regarding it's properties. You are able to determine fungus and mushrooms are not native to this area. You have never seen or read anything that looks like these fungi before.

Sallah: "Maybe one of you with a strong throwing arm can toss a good sized rock at one of those elf-high toadstools, to see if something bad happens. After that, I could use my armor to send a lightning arc, if energy has a different response than a rock..
"All of this should be done at a safe distance. And I didn't want to be impulsive and zap a toadstool if there are better suggestions."

Sallah zaps a different batch of mushrooms with his armor's Lightning Launcher. (Range of 40' is no problem. If something insane happens after the earlier insults and rock throwing, like Tiamat emerging from the fungus, then obviously Sallah would use his Action to run instead of shooting a lightning bolt.)

Johnathan whisper's reach the mushroom and watch as the fungus seems to wilt and whither just a bit. As it recovers from the insults you see it draw itself up to height and pull air into it's stalk. It then releases of the built up air in a long, loud shriek of anguish. The sound is deafening and continuous.
The hefted rock sails wide of the mushroom but you all watch as two grey-green ooze squeeze from the cracks in the walls and start heading in your direction. (Sallah, I will let you decide what you would target with the blast. Either ooze or the screaming mushroom)

The mushroom explodes into a thousand tiny fungal fragments and the air goes completely, unnaturally quiet.
The ooze rolls toward you all with a surprising speed an agility. Long pseudopods propel it forward toward Calwin as it sense the flesh on his bones. A long tentacle of slime reaches out at the gnome and flicks at his leg

Agar thinks that his slashing weapon won't be much use against an ooze and instead plants himself right in front of the other one, shield in front of him and prepares to defend himself and his companions, counting on them to actually kill it.
