After stripping the deader out of his armor, Sorrow measures it against her frame looking to see if it fits better than her own or the suit Vee was wearing. After noting where it would bind and chafe, she shrugs and then proceeds to go over every inch of the armor.
As you search the bodies you find that these goblins were paid a bit better. They must have been good archers. Feeling thankful for Tail-Feathers and her little friends you can not help but wonder how this fight may have not been good for your group. You will find a total of 47 gold 31 silver and 44 copper on the goblins. You will find they each had a short bow with as many as 20 arrows in their quivers. Of the seven you will find a total of 98 arrows. Their armor was a bit better being studded but still filthy as get out. Other than the bows they had a dagger each. The daggers are rust with food, blood and other things one them Some of the stuff you are sure you do not want to know. The big leader is different. His scale mail is well cared for as is the broad sword he was using along with the large steel shield. His armor has been etched with clan symbols and ranks with green and reds placed in the designs. Along one pauldron you will see two black hashes and three blue one hashes. What these mean you are not certain. Looking at the armor Veeshal took off the big person like this one it has none of these marks. Besides the armor, shield and sword the big guy is carrying 100 gold, 34 silver and 15 copper.
When you venture into the area behind the water fall you notice the is a small cave leading back into the rocks. About forty feet in you find a not to well built barrier with some sort of bad drawing that may be a skull and crossbones but it is hard to tell. You can tell from being in the area they used this barrier ans a place to piss and shit. the smell is raunchy. The cave does go on past the barrier. Off to the left hand side of the cave, looking in, you see a part of the barrier comes out forming a L shape with an opening along the main barrier. Entering in this part you can see this was where the big guy spent his time away from the goblins. Inside here you will find a well cared for bed roll along with a well used whetstone. You also find stuffed into a small niche a small chest.
Wanting to take a rest, curiosity gets the better of him as he examines the bodies for wounds, diseases, and parasites that may give insight to the dangers in the cave. Look at the shit piles, for parasites and curiously consider the big guy's hygiene of his living area and what he ate.
Looking for signs of hazards we will encounter, rot grubs, slime and mold injuries, piercing and crushing trap injuries, things of that nature.
Vee, after seeing the better quality of goods on these few, shucks out of the current armor and dons the new. His thoughts along the lines of ‘better gear means more importance’ plus he realizes his skill set doesn’t run to picking locks…he’d rather be prepared to heal is it goes South.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After gathering replacement arrows and a spare bow, Festoon, disgusted by the conditions these supposedly intelligent being chose to live in, checks the place over. "Doesn't look like the place we wanted, does it? Where the kids were kept?" Once he is introduced to the chest, he rubs his hands together and leans over it. Suddenly, spectral hands takes form out of his own hands, and he takes a step back in surprise. "Uncle Warren? Where have you been?" He says to the hands. "You weren't here when I arrived. I guess you found me?" One of the hands makes a thumbs-up gesture, then waggles a 'gimme'. "Oh? You want to do this? Okay, here." and Festoon passes over a kit of small tools and steps back ten feet. "Hey, everybody! My Uncle Warren is back!"
The hands check over the chest, looking for any kind of traps. [If found] They work the tools around the chest, trying to disarm it. [If not found or disarmed] - The hands then challenge any locks there may be on the chest.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
You find the chest is wedged into the opening. There seems to be no traps and it does not look to be locked. Removing it will take a couple people to pry it out. Meanwhile Millwater is checking over the bodies for any sorts of wounds or injuries. All he finds is the normal scars from swords and such that all fighting subjects seem to have after lots of practice in developing and honing their skills with weapons. Searching the waste you do not find any parasites. Millwater does find that if he cleans the skin with water he can see clean skin if he wishes to take a bite or cook it along with the food he is making.
Millwater licks his lips and says "anybody recognize the species? It doesn't share the common parasites with goblinoids." He then cuts it strenum to belly button. Digging out the heart and liver to examine. Marveling at the marbling of the heart. (definitely a fighter) He thinks. He grasps the liver sniffing it deeply, giving it a lick, and feeling for hardness up and down it's length. Finding it pliable and palpable he chunks it up and puts in a bowl. He reaches into the cavity and removes kidneys and examines them.
Noshing on the scrapple as he cuts out valves, ducts, arterial trunks, mincing and mixing the organ chunks together. Purring an old lizardman song 🎵 life is food, food is life 🎵 (doesn't actually know the words) as he mixes spices into the bowl. Millwater sets up his grinder for meat and washes out the length of the big guy's intestines. Twisting the links to individual portions as they come out the grinder.
Sniffing the sausage as he hangs it to dry, he slaps is hand into his face. (The autopsy! I was doing an autopsy) He thinks as he looks down at the body. "Healthy and in great shape!" He says while licking his lips and wringing his hands.
Looks up after a noticeable silence and sees everyone looking at him like he just ate a baby. "I found that he was in great health, great shape, had decent hygiene, drank not to excess, and ******* delicious! And look how he was equipped, reminds me of the outfitted equipment at the camp" he says as runs his paw over the tent strapped to his back.
Crickets
Millwater quickly points out vitals and boney protective parts and then says "Maybe we should discuss end of life matters, so there no awkwardness latter?"
Uninterested in exotic road side meat, Festoon says "Can someone help me work out this chest? It's pretty well trapped in here."

With assistance two of you are able to wiggle the chest out of the niche it was wedged into opening the chest you see a mixture of gold and silver coins. Also there are three potions at the bottom of the coins. Two are a light pink and one is a dark pink. Counting the coins you find 300 silver and 125 gold.
Leaving the sausage to dry, he begins making a platter of died fruit, nuts, cheeses, crackers, and meats. Carefully considering rare oils and fats with the spices, making a mustard horseradish mixture to cure developing sniffles from the humidity.
Millwater takes the platter like a roving buffet encouraging everyone to at least have a bite of everything and the meat was bought in town. "it was chosen for its high content of vitae, fats, and oils. Helps with torn and injured muscles to heal faster. If your nose is starting to snot up, a big dab of the horseradish will cure it."
after serving everybody, he eats his fill and takes the rest to the bird's offering. Chopping it up into a salad, easy for the bird's to eat. He steps back to watch the birds eat, his mind churns (Most animals get nutrients by accident, I wonder what they are like living their healthiest life?)
"Pink? What kind of potions are pink? I don't think I've ever seen a pink potion before. I was hoping for red, or blue..." J'nah uncorks one of the light colored ones and wafts his hand over it to gauge it's smell."
Vee snorts in amusement. ‘Seen a pink potion once-turned a He into a She-and a very randy one at that. Patron Mother thought that was fitting punishment for him taking liberties with a promised priestess. Fortunately-our maybe not so fortunate-she reversed the effects but left him with all the memories of what had happened.’
After a short rest you all are able to regain some lost hit points. You have a couple options before you. Do you break through the barrier and explore deeper into the cave or do you continue on the path past the waterfall?
Sorrow stretches after her short rest and snack. She takes a look at the barrier to try and gauge its depth and tensile strength. ‘If that BUD said prisoners come in from the South, where would they be kept? Behind this I wonder? And if there’s any here, we’d most likely condemn them to some pain and suffering if we were remiss in looking.’ She begins to pull the barrier apart, pushing and shoving the poorly made wall into pieces.
After packing up and checking the balance and rattle, Millwater joins Sorrow at the barricade. Springing on his heels as she begins testing the barrier, readying himself for what's behind.
