I am going to wait in the shadows until the large patrol is clear, then when I have a clear shot and the group is ready I am going to try and attack whatever kobold is furthest away from the group attacking the door. Or the kobold that has the least enemies looking at it. Stealth: 12

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As it looks like everyone's ready I find a nice shadowy spot with a clear shot of the back door Stealth 20 and with disadvantage shoot at the closest enemy Attack: 6 Damage: 9 + Sneak attack as they don't know we are here 5
Not sure if I wound have advantage as they don't know we are here yet. If so would the disadvantage from the smoke and my advantage cancel each other out? If so should I make a nother attack roll keeping the the damage or reroll the damage also?
(Yah, you'd have disadvantage from them being heavily obscured and advantaged because they don't know you're there, so they'd cancel each other out. Standard from what I've seen is to just take the first roll if you roll with advantage or disadvantage when you aren't supposed to instead of rolling again.. In this case, unfortunately, that's the 1...I'll update with what happens from your and deekin's attacks when I have some more time)

(How can you check to see which was rolled first?)
(On mobile I don't know of a way to do so. On a computer you can mouse over the roll and it shows the breakdown, both rolls, which was picked, which was discared, etc))
next time make sure you mention that you wait for the patrol to leave before you attack the ones at the rear door. We need to be careful in here. Deekins had said he would wait for them to leave, can we assume dawn did as well?

My intention was to wait until the patrol has cleared and then take out the most obscure enemies so we can keep the element of surprise for as long as possible. Is sneak attack automatic in 5thE or is it a skill that only rogues can use?

Deekin, Kobold Bard (2) in Hoard of the Dragon Queen
Deekin waits for the patrol to get round the opposite side of the building and away, then launches a bullet, dropping one of the kobolds at the back door. At the same time, Dawn launches an arrow, which doesn't even make it into the smoke. The kobolds in the smoke start shouting about being under attack.
(Everyone else can have a surprise round as well. You're currently in the trees, about 20 feet away from the low wall, then the door is about 30 feet from the wall, so 20-25 feet from the wall to get to the enemies. Then roll initiative. Raiders initiative: 11)
Pops uses Minor Illusion to cause a swirl of leaves to surround Dawn for her next round. Dolomite Jones will Help Rockcrusher with his next attack.
(Just a note, the help probably doesn't do a lot for rockcrusher. If he does a ranged attack through the smoke, it's both advantaged and disadvantaged already so it's just a normal roll. Dawn's illusion probably doesn't help a lot either. Doesn't do anything on defense for the same reason as Rock, and you both take another turn before the raiders)

I have some thrown weapons I can use as well, pick them off while they have to move to us. We can use the trees for partial cover.

(Deekin give me an attack/damage roll for your attack since you were the first to say you were going to attack)
(I just assumed they would be gone before I attacked as that was the plan as Deekin put it.)
Deekin waits for the nods of confirmation from his party before making his attack.
