Rock sees a couple torches off in the distance, both moving further away. He and Rock head towards the rendezvous point picked by Pops while Dolomite goes to find Dawn. Unable to spot the Tabaxi, the own flies around above the plateau searching.
Perception: 10
(If dawn wants to reveal himself to the owl, he reads the same message as Rock)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dawn stands up and moves back to the cliffs to retrieve his bow. And then looks over to see if I can see Rock and Maythus. (Unless they are visible when I stand up or go over to the cliff. If I don't see see them I tell Dolomite Jones to bring them the message with an addendum that I am heading to the location, and start heading towards the marked location stealthily as not to attach the attention of the raiders. Stealth 24

Meanwhile, the raiders at the top of the cliff are still searching for Dawn. As they draw nearer, one of the pair nearby spots the Tabaxi's bow lying on the ground near the cliff edge and walks over to pick it up,
...
The second guard, still holding the bow, returns to the one holding the torch near Dawn...
(I actually did kind of remember that, but I thought they dropped it. Not sure if I misread the last quoted sentence, or if there was something else I was thinking about. )
We definitely cannot take on that camp, and we now have a rescue we need to take back to the city, I say we take advantage of the dark and head back unless our new guest can offer any information to us that would lead us else where

Leosin agrees with the plan, and the party heads off back in the direction of the Greenest, keeping quiet and watchful for patrols of raiders. You're able to make it back to the town without incident, arrive just about the same time as the sun is cresting the horizon.
As you approach the city, the monk who asked you to bring back Leosin comes running towards you. "You found him! Oh thank goodness!" Some of the joy leaves his face as he sees Leosin's condition. "Master! What happened? We have to get you inside and to the healers, quickly!" Leosin protests a bit, but allows himself to be led away for healing. The other monk yells back his thanks one more time as they go. Guards approach and lead the rest of the party to a room where they are told to wait while the Governor is awoken. When Governor Nighthill arrives, he also offers his thanks for rescuing the monk, and asks what you were able to discover while exploring the camp. Everyone takes turn relating what information they can remember from the past day's events, including what Pops' discovery that they were trying to bring back Tiamat.
The governor expresses his thanks once again for everything the party was able to discover, and encourages you to stop by the armory once again to replenish any supplies that might have been lost, then meet him in the courtyard so he can give you your promised reward. After a trip by the armory, you walk into the courtyard, which is quite full at this point. Governor Nighthill publicly praises your courage and daring for sneaking into the camp to bring back all the information you were able to, in addition to rescuing Leosin, and presents each of you with 250gp as promised.
(Calculating XP, but safe to say you'll all be level 3)
250 each for rescuing Leosin 50 each for leaving a decoy in Leosin's place (Pop's silent image, even if it was only temporary)
25 each for each piece of information discovered about the camp, for another 150 total:
This is a camp of the Cult of the Dragon — praise Tiamat’s glory! (Don't think you actually heard the name, but Pops got the gist that they were trying to bring back Tiamat)
Not everyone here is a full-fledged member of the cult. Many are new initiates working toward full acceptance, and many others are simple mercenaries, hired to flesh out the camp’s strength during raids or if it should come under attack.
The cult has been ranging far and wide on small raids to collect treasure. Greenest was the closest target to the camp, the biggest of all the towns they’ve attacked, and the most profitable — praise Tiamat’s glory!
The half-black dragon Rezmir came to the area a few months ago, and she set up the camp. Mondath handles everyday operations. (Didn't get any specifics on Rezmir, but Pops ran into Mondath, so good enough)
The mother of dragons — praise Tiamat’s glory — shall return, and when that day comes, all the nations of the world shall tremble before her majesty!
The plunder from nearby settlements is stored in the cave. No one but Rezmir knows how much is there altogether, but it must be a big pile by now.
You're also able to relate to Nighthill the location of the camp as well as the numbers of raiders (cultists) in the camp, and some information about the leaders. Leosin is able to fill in the gaps in what you discovered with and give you the rest of the picture.
The kobolds are here because their worshipful attitude toward dragons makes them easy for Rezmir and other high-ranking cultists to manipulate, but they are not well liked or trusted by the other races.
Hunters who bring in antelope and other large game from the grasslands feed the camp. The cultists and their allies eat most of it, but some is stored in the cave to feed the hatchlings.
Prisoners are used for manual labor. In the past, a few have “converted” and become loyal members of the cult, but most die eventually of overwork and undernourishment. Then they are fed to the drakes or taken into the cave to feed the hatchlings.
The cave at the back of the camp (area 4) is off-limits to all but those who’ve been cleared by Mondath and Rezmir, which includes a handful of guards and kobolds. It’s known around camp as “the nursery,” and it’s an open secret that Rezmir plans to hatch a clutch of dragon eggs there.
The half-blue dragon Cyanwrath is Mondath’s right hand and is seldom far from her side. He has a rigid sense of honor, but you don’t want to make him angry.
The monk is of special interest to Rezmir. Why else would she keep the creature alive that way? What Rezmir hopes to learn from him is anyone’s guess, but you wouldn’t want to be in that half-elf’s skin — or what’s left of it — when the questioning gets serious.
(That's the end of chapter two, I'll have to get a post put together to set up the start of chapter three. Feel free to level up though in the meantime, safe to say you'll have time to rest before it starts up)

(Yes you'd see Dolomite Jones. And raiders ahve moved off into the distance by the time Maythus and Rock reach the top, aren't close by anymore)
I will stand up revealing myself to Dolomite Jones (and Rock and Maythus in they are within sight).
Dawn reads the same message as Rock did.

(Wow, I hope I don't really need to be stealthy)
Pops and Leosin set up camp at the rendezvous but they do not risk lighting a camp fire.
