Balrog backpeddles from the troll, slings his hammer, and pulls a crystal seemingly out of nowhere. His hood falls back, revealing two short, but thick and curving horns protruding from just above his forehead... horns that no dwarf should ever possess.
Balrog roars in Draconic, “Damnable troll ye’ll feel me wrath!” as he raises his free hand which now looks almost claw. The air becomes hot around him and the sound of cracking whips ring out as Balrog releases a beam of pale, sickly, looking purple energy at the troll.
KABOOM! The Dragonpriest Troll's head splatters against Judas' mace with a sickening crunch - crashing to the ground, dead.
Inside the sarcophagus you find a ceremonial dagger worth 125sp, two silver rings worth 15gp each, and a silver amulet worth 15gp. In addition, there is money inside as well: 220sp, 50gp, and four scrolls of the spells: Command, Cure Wound (2nd level), Inflict Wounds (2nd level) and guiding bolt (2nd level).
REMINDER: Anyone can use a scroll as an action to cast the spell.
AREAS 1-12 are FULLY EXPLORED. AREAS 13-18 is this area of the maps, seen below. You go back to AREA 4 and head northwest, and then west down the hall where you see AREA 13 and 14.
From this moment on, every day that passes I will check for a random encounter. This area of the Citadel is more populated.
OOC: Crispy, may we take a short rest before journeying on? As a level 1 spell caster, I can't cast hardly any spells without tapping out! Winters - if we were to take a rest here, I could heal you. Or, we could use the Cure Wounds scroll we just found if we can't rest here.
“I’ll be taking the jewelry, much easier to pawn off then scrolls, and assuming there is more surprises in this Pan-forsaken place we might need them. Oh and some of those jingly coins.” Phil procedes to merrily loot the sarcophagus and tune his lute during the downtime.
“Ah, ah, ah. Sharing is caring, and we’re supposed to be teammates! A crew, compadres, brothers in arms, surely you can split 10 gold coins from you’re coffers for a poor Satyr down on his luck?” He says shooting his best kicked baby goat face, pulling a few meager gold coins back towards himself.
Ugg shakes his head as he sharpens his sword on his wet stone.
"Greedy greedy, we should all get a fair share."
Ugg then stands and begins running through a series of sword techniques that he learned from the old battlemaster of his tribe when he was a young half-orc.

Eldritch blast: 5
Damage: 4
If the troll sitill stands, Phil will light the torch he has in his backpack, and try to shove it in the undead beasts face.
Hit: 18
Fire Dam: 4
Look at all these poor rolls - looks like you guys are a little rusty =P
Balrog, the Eldritch blast backfires and the instant you release it, it explode prematurely in your hand, burning it for 3 damage. OOCH!
Phil, you do indeed shove the torch into the trolls face, but it twists in a way that it barely catches his forehead and hair.

Varth is up!
Varth tries to move at a position where he can a good shot but away from the troll's reach so that he can get in a good fire bolt.

Yes, a solid hit! It staggers weakly, almost down.

Nicely done, everyone.

Varth pants as he recovers from the fight with the troll. He the looks up towards his companions with a pitiful look.
"It would seem that the creature did some considerable damage to me. Does anyone have a means of healing? A potion perhaps? Or a spell?"

(OOC: A short rest would be nice. I only have one spell slot left and I'm sitting on 1 hp so it would really help.)
Of course
Balrog plops down near the coffin and grunts “About time we get a bloody rest”.
OOC: Do we roll hit dice to recover HP? I clicked the “take short rest” on my character sheet, but it doesn’t look like it did anything.
You should be at full HP. Don't worry about the actual amount.
We will continue shortly.
