Sinak - The bolt of fire misses the kobold and impacts against a thick column behind him. You spiritual weapon strikes true however, catching the kobold unawares.
ROUND 1
The kobold dragonshield will charge forth with its spear held in two hands and try to stab Krugh. It slips a bit on a few coins and misses its thrust.
Krugh - Your greataxe carves into the armored kobold, dealing a heavy blow.
Krugh takes the opportunity and sidesteps the Kobold, driving his Greataxe to his neck attempting to decapitate him. He activates his Rage, fueled by the chance that the children may get hurt in the ensuing conflict and he's also angry at himself for being a clumsy idiot.
I'll roll the combat roll in the character sheet if that is okay.
A good hit - rolled 22 to hit, 13 damage. +2 for Rage = 15 Rolled a 1 on the Wild Surge table and gained 9 temporary hit points and the Kobold I'm chopping also takes 2 Necrotic damage unless it succeeds a CON saving throw. If the other Kobold is within 30 feet and I can see him he also takes 2 damage on a failed CON saving throw, unless I roll separately for each target?
The last damage roll of 12 was a blooper, pressed the button by accident
As the fight breaks out, Thelan steps out from the barracks and moves to the side of the door with his bow at the ready. Seeing Krugh move to engage the Dragonshield Kobold, Thelan’s first concern is to make sure the second Kobold doesn’t run off to warn any of the others. He pulls back his bow, and with a whisper in elvish, enchants his arrow and sends it toward the second Kobold.
Attack: 13 Damage: 12 piercing damage plus 1 psychic damage.
(On a hit, target must make a DC 12 Strength save or be restrained and takes 1d6 piercing damage at start of its turns)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sinak sees the other kobold go down, so he targets the one facing Krugh, also the spiritual spear attacks the armored kobold as well. “Watch for others to enter.” he calls out in a low voice.
Fire bolt : Attack: 6 Damage: 9
Spiritual spear : Attack: 21 Damage: 11
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Thelan - Your arrow is enough to kill or incapacitate the kobold. What does that look like?
Thelan’s arrow flies true and catches the Kobold just as it is looking around from the door, slicing cleanly through it's throat. The kobold slides down the door frame without a sound.
Sinak - Both the firebolt and spiritual weapon strike true, slamming into the kobold from the front and piercing its back. It cries out it pain, and you see a sizable pool of blood forming at its clawed feet. It looks pretty badly hurt.
Neela is up! Followed by the kobold dragonshield, then Krugh (Pre-posted).
(Still not sure if Valarken or Neela can hear what is happening downstairs. I will write this as if they can't, but my action is the same regardless)
Neela schools her expression but inside she is seething. 'Everyone thinks the only thing kobolds are good for is to serve as minions. I'll never be a minion again!' Outside, however, she exclaims with surprise: "Wow, a Grand Duke! I've heard of you! You were an amazing Duke but you had to leave after a failed coup. I heard you allied yourself with some werewolves. Is this where the werewolves lived? This Keep?" She raises the volume of her voice, and grips tightly onto her hand drum, ready at a moment's notice to try and stop Valarken from heading downstairs and following the kobold.
Action to ready Suggestion if Valarken looks like he is moving downstairs. The Suggestion will be to stay upstairs with her and tell her all about how amazing he is.
Neela - Valarken's light dims and he floats backward a bit, seemingly confused, "What? Werewolves? Yes, I used the abominations as a means to an end. But you didn't answer me! Will you accept this position of honor and lead my army?" Valarken floats forward, practically in your face as he says, "Or have I misjudged your usefulness?"
The remaining kobold will offer a cry of fury and lash out at Krugh with two quick thrusts of its spear. The first grazes Krugh's thigh and the second misses entirely.
Krugh - Your attacks are more than enought o defeat the kobold. What does that look like?
Combat has ENDED.
All - There are no more kobolds in the chamber at the moment. What would you like to do?
Sinak would QUICKLY (running) pull the bodies into the room we have come from, dumping them down the trap door if possible, asking for the others to assist cleaning up any blood stains / covering them with cloth or loot. “Let’s regather in the other room to figure out our next step!” he says hurriedly.
He would direct the spiritual spear over to the door that the second kobold came out of, if any kobold comes out of that door for a minute, it will strike them, otherwise it will disappear.
Krugh - Lifting with every ounce of your strength, the heavy wooden beam rises in a stuttering ascent. You're able to lift the beam out of place and set it aside, clear of the large wooden doors.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sensing she is not going to get any more useful information out of the malevolent spirit, and also picking up on the edge of mania in it's voice, Neela backs up with arms raised.
"Oh yeah, uh-huh, sure thing. Could you uh do me a favor though? You see I used to serve a blue dragon and it's kind of a faux-pas to just switch colors without a heads up, you know. So could you go and tell Duskbringer that you've got a new leader of your army? And I'm gonna go and find some black and gold paint for myelf, the gold is to paint your crest because that would just look amazing, and uhh let's meet back here in like 30 minutes? Cool? Cool."
Neela continues backing up towards the stairs that lead back down to her companions, maintaining a tight grip on her drum and ready to Suggest to Valarken that what she just asked is entirely reasonable (and not the ramblings of a very scared, very nervous kobold).

Thelan helps Sinak hide the bodies of the Kobolds and the signs of their brief fight, taking a moment to retrieve his arrow. “Forget regathering in the room. Krugh has unbarred the door. Let’s get the children out of here. We can wait for Neela on the outside.” Thelan checks the doors over for any sign of traps or early warning devices. If it is clear, he will pull the door open slightly and peer outside. Perception: 12.

“Has anyone seen Yasmina around? I hope she didn’t get lost! We sure could use a peek from Razul…. hold on Thelan, let me come have a look.” Sinak looks for traps and listens at the door for any sound of activity outside.
Neela - Valarken bobs in the air as he says, "Excellent! Yes, Duskbringer should be summoned! She has laid about long enough... I want her present for the execution. So she and the kobolds can see what happens to those who disappoint me. Kashak is long past his prime. I could've conquered Baldur's Gate already if not for his incompetence!" Valarken is floating around, talking to only himself at this point. As you turn to go, something large and hairy suddenly appears in the window of the room. The werewolf crouches on the window sill for a moment as looks around. It watches Valarken for a moment then turns and looks at you. The werewolf watches you from the window then crawls into the room as it looks back to Valarken, "Why were the kobolds in the dungeons? I told them to stay away. They've triggered a trap and nearly brought the entire keep down!" Valarken turns to the werewolf and says, "Ah, Fivin! Excellent timing! We were just going to execute Kashak and install... Um..." Valarken turns to you and says, "What did you say your name was?"
Second attack roll since hidden / advantage : 22
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As a bonus action, he casts spiritual weapon and an ethereal spear appears near the larger armored kobold, attacking him.

Closing his arc Krugh swept his Greataxe through the neck of the dragonshield kobold, keeping it from hitting the floor as the head flies off.
Resisting the urge to shout a warcry Krugh still stares at the body for a couple of seconds before taking the head and tossing it into the barracks.
He then uses the battle rage still surging through is veins to lift the massive plank barring the door.
