"Thanks. Kvothe's the name" says as he accepts the fish from Anthony. He applies the insect repellent and drinks some water. He starts going through the equipment in his pack muttering something like "I'll need that. Won't need that."When he has finished his equipment is in two piles. he turns to the party and says "if we are going into that cave, I suggest we lighten our packs and only take what we need". He starts looking for a rock ledge where he can create a cache of goods.
Kvothe will only take the bare essentials into the cave. The items he will cache are Raincatcher, Bedroll, Fishing Tackle, Mess Kit, Rations (7 days), Waterskin (3), Spare shortwords (2). This reduces the weight he is carrying to 57lbs.
Anthoy looks over at Kvothe and then points to the ground. "You can put your stuff right there next to the other packs that were left behind. They won't be going anywhere."
At dawn, while everyone was still asleep (except for whoever was keeping last watch), Kaslo collected everyone's water containers and went down to the river to fill them up and pray to Lathander (Purify Food and Drink ) to cleanse the water, so that they may stay sharp and focused for the tasks ahead of them. Afterwards he had a fairly unsuccessful fishing session, and walked back to the campfire fish-less, but at least with full, potable water skins.
"A good morning to you soldier" he says to Anthoy. "Glad to see you are on the mend". He sits down and eats some fish for breakfast. Washing it down with some freshly cleaned water, he applies more insect repellent. As he's applying it, he catches a whiff from under his armpit area and wrinkles his nose. "Ye know, sooner or later, I will need to bathe myself. We keep applying this repellent day after day; it's starting to create a second skin"
Anthoy looks over at Kvothe and then points to the ground. "You can put your stuff right there next to the other packs that were left behind. They won't be going anywhere."
"Anthoy will you be staying here, joining us in the cave or heading back to the Order?"
Krav nods at Kvothe's suggestion. He begins emptying his pack in a large pile near where Anthoy pointed. Once it is empty, Krav refills it slightly, putting in 2 javelins, 7 days' rations, his mess kit, his 3 (now full) waterskins, and a small metal hammer. When Krav comes across the small, worn book he was reading the night before, he stops, considering it, then stuffs it into his pack, leaving a still very large pile of items.
Krav is now carrying 52 pounds of gear, from 205. Wow!
"I wasn't asked but I don't think I want to go back in that cave." Anthoy shudders at the thought. "I would be happy to guard everyone's stuff until you came out. Someone needs to go back to Camp and tell the Commander what happened here."

Kaslo pats Anthoy on the shoulder. "Aye, I don't blame ya for not wantin' to go back in there. If you wouldn't mind watching our gear, that would be very helpful indeed.
Looking in the direction of the cave, "Listen Anthoy, is there anything else we should know about that cave and tower before we go in there? Any traps or other nasty surprises?"
OOC: Thank you for saving one of my precious spell slots, Papa. It sucks that paladins can't perform rituals.
Revised:
Yellow spends time after she first wakes preparing for the day, including applying insect repellent and refilling her waterskins from the water Kaslo collected and purified. She packs her things and joins the others around the fire to eat some fish. When the soldier addresses her, she returns his salute and eyes his condition. "Good to see you up and about," she says matter-of-factly. "And you may call me Yellow." She eats as Ezio, Anthoy and the others talk about the beast that is most likely awaiting them in the cave. "This beast has claimed too many good men," she says. "Let us prepare to vanquish our foe."

Anthoy hands Kaslo a map. "I drew this when I awoke this morning so I wouldn't forget what happened. Inside the cave are two rooms and a large lake. The room to the left had a large chasm in it. If you stood there long enough you could hear the screams of the undead coming from within it. The path to the right is where we got ambushed by all the monsters. That is where We encountered the Demon, Well that is where it cornered us actually. We were already there fighting the undead. That is probably where Jobul is. The large lake has an island in the middle of it and you could see a large summoning circle in the middle of it on a ten-foot rise. That is where the robed figure was standing when we entered. Some of the men swore they saw monsters swimming in the lake but I didn't."
Anthoy wipes his brow and takes a sip of water. "As for the Tower, I never checked it out. We stayed in the lower levels defending ourselves but we never really investigated. Jobul checked out the top and said it was all clear but I never went up there."
do we have someone who is super stealthy, or the ability to cast some form of invisibility? Maybe someone can sneak in and get the item we need and we can avoid the fight?

"I'm happy to go first and scout ahead" Kvothe says to the party. "But I don't want to go to far ahead of any support.Give me two minutes and then follow me into the cave by which time I should be back at the first junction"he continues with. "If you hear this (he whistles) come running because I've found something I can't handle" he finishes with.
Picking up his now much lighter backpack, Kvothe sets off (travelling at a slow pace) into the cave. He is watching where he places his feet and constantly scanning the walls, roof and floor for anything out of the ordinary that might be a trap.

Anthoy hands Kaslo a map. "I drew this when I awoke this morning so I wouldn't forget what happened.
Kaslo smiles grimly and takes the map. "Thank you Anthoy, this is a valuable contribution indeed. We shall rid this cave of the foulness that lurks inside, and find the rest of your party."
Yellow stands near the mouth of the cave as Kvothe enters. She wields her shield on her left arm and holds her longsword in her right paw. The blade is angled down, but it isn't still; she fidgets with it, turning it and making it wiggle as her wrist and fingers constantly move. Her eyes follow the Tiefling as he careful marches forward into the darkness. Yellow's tail is whipping back and forth in tiny arcs about a foot off the ground.
Each Square is 10' I forgot to mark that when I made it.
As you gather at the entrance of the cave you notice a few things: the ground is made of dirt but it looks hardened like it has been trampled on numerous times, the walls are made out of some strange purplish material you're not sure of. It's squishy to the touch and has no odor to it. The ceilings are 15 feet high and are made of the same materials as the wall. This looks to be a man-made cave. The odor of death and decay is strong inside the cave and you can hear the moans of the undead coming from down the hall. There is no light within the cave and without your darkvision, you would be blind.
Kvothe enters the cave and makes his way down to the first intersection with ease. You notice him turn the corner and the rest of you follow and make it to the intersection where he told you to wait for him. You look down the passageway but after 60' he disappears from view.
Kvothe appears out of the darkness from the passageway that went down to the left. He takes a swig from his water bottle and wiping the sweat from his forehead says to the party "The huge chasm down that way stinks and is a hot as the fires of hell. There is steam coming out of it but I couldn't see any sign of movement." He then says "I''ll now go check out the other room where Anthoy thought Jobul's body might be. Once I go around the corner, come up to it and wait for me to come back." "If I whistle come running" he finishes with.
Kvothe sets off at a slow pace up the corridor constantly scanning the walls floor and roof and where he is placing his feet for anything out of the ordinary. At a distance of 25 feet he turns the corner and disappears from sight.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well, it seems like Kvothe has been discovered, let us go, we can't afford to lose another." Ezio says to the others. He let's one of the warriors take the lead and falls in behind them towards the middle of the group.
