Born in Juntz Jahnz (Juntz Village) (Grabisco Kingdom)
Backstory:
Zantar is the son of a woodcutter who was the leader of a small village. He grew up knowing that he will one day take over his father’s business. Zantar was a well-respected person in the small community because he was well liked. He was always helpful, and he was kind to everyone.
One day, a group of people from the city of Juntz arrived in the village and started to take a liking to Zantar. They offered to make him a member of their group, but he refused saying that he would like to remain a woodcutter. On that fateful day, a group of evil people attacked Zantar’s village and killed everyone.
Zantar was able to escape, but he was injured and lost. He wandered the land for a while until he ran into a priest of the light. The priest took him in and gave him food and shelter. Over time, he taught Zantar how to use magic. Zantar was very grateful, and he vowed to use his new found powers to help people.
Zantar is currently traveling the land of Grabisco, helping the people wherever he can.
Personality:
Zantar is very kind and caring. He is very polite, and he always tries to help people whenever he can. He is very kind to children. He is always eager to help people, but he is cautious and often thinks before he acts. He has a great sense of humor, and he is always willing to make jokes.
Appearance:
Zantar is about 5 feet tall. He is muscular and has short, brown hair. He has blue eyes and a tan complexion. He has a very friendly, but serious expression on his face.
You’re not understanding me my friend. This campaign is not happening in the extended universe of DND lore. Nor is it a sandbox campaign where you can make mention of your own original themes and powers. While I could see working a “priest of light” into the story we’re doing here, your character needs to come from a town in the kingdom of Hyrule. Where the Legend of Zelda videogame series takes place. The mention of other original towns and kingdoms goes against the theme. I’ll need you to put a bit of effort into trying to fit the narrative and universe we’re using. Lest we start without you.
Sorry this was a character from an old campaign forgot to change some of the story and other stuff related I’ll just edit it and I’m good to go
A bit of patience, please. Like I said, I’m holding out for a reply from another interested party and Gray still hasn’t finished a character which fits into the story. If I hear nothing from our other player by the end of the weekend, and Gray has either completed a character or bowed out of the campaign I will announce a start date as soon as possible. I promise.
Sorry, I have been a DM for the past 4 years and the only time I have played is a roll20 game where the world is basically going through Armageddon and everything is trying to kill us. I had to optimize everything on my character for combat and most of the RP is massive evil monsters telling us to join or die. I am just excited for something where role play and real story telling is a thing(not that I mind going 1v1 against an adult dragon at level 5 and killing it, but it’s still a lit hack n slash for my taste)
Me as well. I’m a fan of optimizing combat as much as the next guy, but I’m trying to live a hero fantasy not just play a videogame lol that being said I did get a message back from our other player in the wings, who should be popping into this thread any minute now

Indeed, let me know when you do.
I updated my character sheet if anything else doesn’t fit please let me know
The four characters whom have been accepted officially into the roleplay (wow, I really overshot my goal player count) may post their finished character sheets in the format previously used to that thread. In addition, please add a synopsis of your equipment at the bottom. Stats are easy to glance at via the link, swords and bows are an extra step. If you all don’t mind. Please include the full description only on unique items I’ve given you. Damage dice and attack modifiers are all that’s required for basic items.
for now the unique items rule should only apply to our Rito Barbarian aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnndddddddd
DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAAA
Eightfold Blade: 1d8+Dex This single edged long sword was stolen from the Kakariko chieftan’s personal storage by the thief Conmin Enzoro.
Attacks made from stealth with this item do not reveal the user’s location so long as their target is killed.
Hello! Sorry for the delay! My character idea (just to make sure I have this right) is a kokiri cleric named Aster. I guess kokiri would be similar to a halfling or gnome? She would be from Deku forest and just gravitated towards meeting new people. Go with a flow kinda gal.

Ohhhhh an interesting curveball. In ocarina of time, I believe the Kokiri are from a forest by the same name. For the purposes of this roleplay, would you mind if we put your origin in the Lost Woods, where the Koroks are from in BOTW? we can edit the lore so that the two races have lived there in harmony with one-another since Hyrule was formed by the gods. Just so that we can stay consistent with BOTW locations. I hope that works for you.

The lost woods was a part of the Kokiri and the Kokiri eventually turned into the Koroks so that is very appropriate.

@Dndlover_2 your brand new custom item my friend.
Items and their attack and damage modifiersshould be visible on a DnD beyond character sheet. If you are not able to I can set up a DnD Beyond campaign and share the link with everyone. This means that you just have to go to the campaign link and it will show everyone’s character sheet with all stats and items. I am also proficient at creating homebrew items on DnDBeyond and all my homebrew items will be accessible to everyone in the campaign. It also is convenient because any rolls that are made with the Beyond character sheets are logged and everyone can see them. Do you want me to do that?

I am aware of the capabilities of DnD beyond’s features, however I’m not totally comfortable with them yet. I prefer to write, as much as possible, and make the numbers less consequential. A sort of bare-bones approach if you will. You don’t need to write out your ac, spells, armor, anything of that sort. Just the base damage and modifiers so that I can have a quick reference in the midst of combat.
I hope you’ll forgive my Luddite tendency here, I just prefer to have as few moving parts as possible. Does that make sense? Thankyou for the offer, however.
ok so now we wait for everyone to get their characters in the log chat and then we are good to go right, that's what I'm getting from the text.

Sounds good!! I’m not too picky with the origin place 👍
Am I proficient with the eightfold blade? And does it have the finesse property so I can use my dex score for the attack roll?
Yes to both
Wonderful then, welcome to the party! 🎉

I mainly want to keep a running log of items to that end.
Sorry, where do you want is to write the items and modifiers?

Just about, just about. When Stef and Gray Sailor present their sheets to be approved, we’ll be good to go. We are indeed quite close, I assure you.
