Casey attempts to avoid the sumo push with acrobatics check with advantage (but to be clear she wanted to be just on the far side of center- not on the edge, on her platform. From here forward she will stay centered if she can!
doing the checks in the log…
22 with advantage acrobatics. She nimbly jumps up and lands in the center of the ring.
(had some questions to help decide what to do.. Casey’s not exactly in her element here. How far is it from one platform to the next? How long is the bridge? And who’s on the closest platforms to Casey?)
Also interested in the answer to the above questions... Casey's question for the purposes of a 30' Misty Step to the next platform around the horn, which both she and Aino could try. And how much damage it looked like Kileprat actually did with her big reaction attack would be good to know too.
DM: the stage has 20' dia ring with the 40' dia ring in the center oriented like a cross. There is a narrow 20' walk way connecting the rings. So I'm I remember my trig that should put the 20' dia rings 20 feet from eathother. (If I messed up the math we will say it's 20ft). The orientation is Casey is in the north section then it moves clock wise per initiative order.
As for Kileprat's attacks. The first attack did damage but it was not as effective as it could have been. (If you want more details give me a perception check) your reaction attack did full damage due to the nature of the sword. If I don't say damage was reduced for some reason its for the amount stated. I'll try and be more clear.
Misty step is an Idea :).
Anything else? I'll try to give you as much as I can without giving away anything I'm tring to get yall to work out yourselves.
**Also this is only the 2nd game I've DM on this site (first one was a short 1 shot) so anything yall need for me to be a better DM for you please let me know**
(OOC: First, your doing a great job on a very original and intriguing game.
Second: I am asking about the damage and reaction because I am thinking that the sumo has resistance or something to blunt or force damage, which is what a flat blade would normally be, but your right, we wouldn't know that without figuring it out ourselves
Casey studies her Sumo wrestler.. “it’s only a matter of time before he throws me, or pins me, or worse” she thinks to herself.
“well it’s been fun, Mate.. “.Casey says as she nimbly disengage and with a dramatic flourish for the crowds, [performance check 25 in log) runs near the edge of her platform nearest to Kileprat’s, jumps in the air, and casts misty step to land in a safe area near her big friend… (assuming the spell works- she’s not so confident in the spell- which is why she doesn’t jump off the edge.)
If it works, she moves where she’s got shelter from a direct charge from sumo #2 by Kileprat’s large body. If the crowd is cheering she tips her leather tricorn hat, bows, and smiles.
Ok from the top. Kileprat with a 16 you see that all the damage (outside the reaction attack) has been less effective;Resistant and yes you can see each other. The individual on the otherside of Honda from you is blocked cause Honda is big.
Aino with a 25 you notice that your attacks have left no mark on Sumo 3. Maybe damage is not the way on this one.
Casey. No one has made running away look as cool. You move to the edge of the ring and poof and standing next to Kileprat. Sumo 1 bellows in frustration but can't follow. The crowd is eating up the show and goes wild as you bow.
Assuming our Perception checks did not take up our action, I think it is Kileprat's turn.
But since Aino's turn is pretty much independent of Kileprat's, I'll just post it here. Couple assumptions I am making (let me know if wrong): - Aino is the 3rd PC in initiative order, so she is one away from the 4th platform where Storm and prone Sumo 4 are. - She is roughly in the center of her platform, so a 30' Misty Step would take her to the edge of Storm's (4th) platform. Let me know if not.
IF those assumptions are good, here is what Aino does: 1. With none of Casey's flourish, Aino simply disappears and reappears at the near edge of Storm's platform as a bonus action Misty Step. 2. She then uses some of her 40' movement to walk up to the prone sumo 4. 3. When casting a spell as a bonus action, the only other spells you can cast on your turn are cantrips that take an action, which is what she does. She casts Booming Blade using her Rapier, +1 to attack sumo 4, with advantage due to them being prone. 4. To Hit: (best of 3d20s due to advantage and Elven Accuracy): 28 - CRIT 5. Weapon Damage (regular roll doubled): 1d8+6 doubled = 8 * 2 (near min) = 16 magical piercing. 6. Booming Blade additional thunder damage if sumo 4 moves: 8 (max). 7. She then backs away and stands behind Storm. No disengage. Sumo 4 can get an opportunity attack at disadvantage (because prone). 8. Thumbtack, her owl familiar flies by Sumo 4, taking the help to give Stormadvantage on his next attack, even after Sumo 4 stands up. 9. "Mind if I join you?" she drawls at the paladin, balancing on the balls of her feet and grinning.
(OOC: ignore rolls in game log, they are good, but im gonna go a different path than i thought)
Kileprat understands that straight damage may not be the way to go on this one, but she is a goliath Barbarian without much else in her bag o tricks. She knows he is a born wrestler, and even tho she is sure she is stronger, she's afraid of his tactics, but dives in goliath style.
"Come and get some"
She will attempt a grapple, and a shove toward the edge of the platform.
(Remember to roll Athletics at advantage because it is a strength check and Kileprat is raging. That's the exact reason Aino cast Enhance Ability on Casey and not on Kileprat, because Kileprat already was going to have advantage.)
While looking over his shield "My turn..." Storm lowers his shield, leans back and swings forward with his sword, while he invokes his vengeance.
Shatterspike Attack: 22 Damage: 9
Bonus Action: Thunderous Smite - DC 13 Strength vs being pushed back 10 feet and knocked prone - Damage: 7 Thunder
Move Action: Storm will stay where he is if the sumo passes his save, if the sumo fails his save Storm will move up the 10 feet to close the distance
Casey attempts to avoid the sumo push with acrobatics check with advantage (but to be clear she wanted to be just on the far side of center- not on the edge, on her platform. From here forward she will stay centered if she can!

(I think it’s round 2- Honda’s turn)
Remember Nat 20s are max damage. So that would be 24 damage :).
Sumo 4 gets hit and Flys back 10 feet on its back. The damage looks minimal. Sumo 4 is prone.
Honda is up. Honda let's out a large grunt and shakes it's head a Sumo 4. Honda will hold his action.
Order: Honda, Casey, Kileprat, Aino, Sumo 1, Sumo 2, Sumo 3, Sumo 4, Storm
Casey, Kileprat and Aino please take your turn I'll resolve in order when I can.

Another question, did Kileprats 24 damage slow sumo2 down any? Did it look like it hurt, what was his reaction??

I think we are caught up. Kileprat is up.
