Yes casey drinks heroism, speed, and invulnerability as well.
I’m going to start actual combat tomorrow, so you have more time. Here’s some more description.
The party is outside the east gate of the city, which has been closed in a futile attempt to slow the creature down. the beast, who scholars have identified as a Tarrasque, is coming, about a quarter mile off. The captain of the guard is with you, an older fighter named Aldern. He sighs sadly as his best troops, two dozen cavalry are slaughtered- apparently without making a dent on the creature.
The city wizards have discovered the hard way that most magic seems minimally effective- sometimes reflecting back on the caster. But close range weapons also do little. The creature has some protective magics on it- an arcane tattoo on its face, some intricate golden sleeves on its front “arms”, and a chain with a pendant on it’s neck. It moves uncannily fast, and also has shown the ability to jump or perhaps fly high into the air. And there is something else..
on the back of the creature there is an armored platform, like a howdah (thing like on a war elephant, picture the lord of the rings Legolas elephant scene) and a giant dark figure is up there, riding, watching, and occasionally shooting out bolts of dark energy at attackers….
“We’re doomed” says Aldern, in a voice that sounds like C-3PO.
Don't think it would work. Remember Garmuk was ripped apart when Voidling came out of his body. Think that counts as missing vital organs lol but a lvlv18 Barb would be a good addition
OOC: Sorry for the delay everyone, prep will include scrolls of Death ward on everyone and thing in our party, Greater Steed for Griffon, Potions of heroism and speed for both Storm and Griffon, Griffon will also get Invulnerability potion, Storm will have a Potion of Giant Size on him but will not take it right away. He will also use a Scroll of Circle of Power to being the battle with, this does take Concentration once he casts it. Also antitoxin for both Storm and Griffon, I am pretty sure that is everything? Please see below for bonuses that Storm gives to others.
Aura Of Protection, 30 ft range: +5 to all saving throws
Aura of Courage, 30 ft range: Immunity to being frightened
Circle of Power, 30 ft range: For the duration, each friendly creature in the area (including you) has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Additionally, when an affected creature succeeds on a saving throw made against a spell or magical effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throws.
Casey uses inspiring leader to give everyone (up to 6) 26 temporary Hit points. She gives to the 3 PCs, and Storm’s griffon, Aino’s owl and her own owl (picked up a familiar herself)
(Her own mount, a pegasus now, and herself are getting a different buff)
She gives bardic inspiration to all PCs (1d12 now!) - remember can be used for damage or healing spells.
she casts aid at 6th level using a spell gem- giving Herself, Aino, and Storm 25 HP and increase in HP maximum.
she uses armor of agythys at 6th level also using a spell gem, sharing it with her find greater steed pegasus for 30 temp hit points. Her last legendary item is spell gem which she uses to cast foresight on herself and shared with pegasus (having attuned to all of these gems on prior days)
She casts shillelegh on her staff right before combat, although she doesn’t plan on melee and will be flying on her pegasus in formation within 30’ of Storm.
potions: casey- invulnerability, speed, heroism The pegasus has had potions of invulnerability, speed, and heroism, and is wearing bracers of defense on it’s front hooves, an amulet of health around its neck, a saddle of the cavalier on, and has a luckstone.
As the team readies combat, she places her Daerns instant fortress by the roadside outside the gate as a place to shelter briefly if needed- figuring it may not last long against the creature, but might give time to regroup….
Casey gives a low wistle. She’s decked out in her finest gear, swooping around on a beautiful grey pegasus named Cloud. She looks at the group and says ”hees a big beastie to be sure, but we Kin take ‘em, I reckon. From whot the wizards be sayin on spells I’m afraid me blasts won’t be doin much against him. I’m going to try to focus on the rider. From what I be hearing killin the rider ain’t likely gonna end anythin with the beast, but the rider can kill at range which the beast can’t really do much. Can ye all fly?”
Storm nods to the griffon, "I can fly fine, although if our new companion needs help flying I can ask it to allow him as a rider. I have a new way of flying if need be."
OOC: By new companion he means Jarn. Jarn can use Storms griffon if he needs it, Storm plans on it using Dodge as its Action every turn, that or Help.
(We will play this theater of the mind as usual. The creature and rider may not be fully aware of the group until they attack. There’s a lot going on on the battlefield.
Note the rider has half cover from attacks at his level, and 3/4 cover from attacks from the ground due to his armored platform. (Or total cover if you are right near the creature). (But if you fly above him That’s cancelled). Half cover is +2 ac and reflex saves, 3/4 cover is +5.
he’s about 15 feet tall and tall and is clad in adamantine full plate armor, carrying a halbard with a greenish glowing blade.
Jarn drank a potion of speed. Heroism and invulnerability

So still trying to figure out prep but thoughts on Storm using Raise Dead to bring back non evil Garmuk to help fight with us?
Don't think it would work. Remember Garmuk was ripped apart when Voidling came out of his body. Think that counts as missing vital organs lol but a lvlv18 Barb would be a good addition
Aino also drank Potion of Heroism, Potion of Speed and Potion of Cloud Giant Strength - same as last time.
Yeah to bring back Garmuk, we might need True Resurrection.

(ooc- Bushhawk, did you add your guy to the campaign? might be easier for rolls in the log, but if you want to type them that's fine too).

OOC: I will also do the saddle, bracers, luckstone and amulet for the griffon as well.
Potion serge roll 20
Jarn also drinks a potion of Flying (have some dbz vibes)
"I'll past on the beast don't trust em and I need my hands and feet to fight"
Jarn initiative 15

If Aino has time to see that she is facing both a monster and a rider, she would not have read the scroll of Illusory Dragon. At least not yet.
She would hope to use a different spell for her concentration once her turn comes up.
Though it also depends - how far away are we?
