Famh's mouth drops open to cry out in horror at the sudden appearance of the Selentine dead ... but before she can make a sound, her mind blurs strangely into memories not hers. The strange and terrible men with their bronze and their cold iron, sweeping over the land from the south like ants ... 'Selentine', they called themselves, as if that somehow gave them the right to slaughter and pillage and enslave those who did not instantly bow to their self-evident superiority when the legions first turned up on the doorstep of the High King's brugh, And she remembered how shocked those legions had always been to find out there were other powers in the world besides their cold reason and logic, besides their mighty cold iron weapons and armor or even bronze. The trouble with those armors always was, they heated up awfully fast ... Her lips move as of their own accord as she pulls out the charm around her neck and shakes it fiercely at the emerging corpses, the copper charm in the shape of a circle with two intersecting crossbars in the middle that by some quirk of the forger's intent resembles both the symbol of Gatanades and the ancient sun symbol of the Old Faith. And the words that come unbidden to her lips could definitely be spoken to the Sun of either religion:
"Fàilte ort féin, a ghrian nan tràth,
‘S tu siubhail ard nan speur;
Do cheumaibh treun air sgéith nan ard,
‘S tu màthair àigh nan reul."

Create bonfire: 5' cube; any creature there when spell is cast or who moves into area must make DEX save or take 1d8 damage {2} ... duration concentration (up to 1 minute). If possible she will aim it so the Selentines are caught in the back half of the fire and have the rest of it between them and us.

Cainneach will immediately pull his longbow from his back, draw and nock an arrow. He will fire quickly, before the Selentine can emerge and close within melee range. "Everyone, attack now if you are able! Once they emerge fully, we'll be hard put upon!"
Longbow - attack vs. the closest Selentine undead: 6, damage (piercing): 9
Thatch pulls up short as the pebble bounces across the path, raising a hand for the others to stop. He doesn’t hesitate as he sees the undead warriors begin to rise from the ground. “Beware, Tuannon’s guests have found us!!”As Cainneach encourages the group to attack, Thatch draws his gladius, itself a twin to the blades wielded by the warriors in front of him. Thatch darts forward to attack the closest creature before it can fully emerge from the ground.
Tana pauses at her place in the back of the group following the sudden commotion, eyes flickering over to where her other companions had already taken an offensive stance. For moment she considered her approach, stepping up in front of Famh to get a better view of the creatures.
Though her own unnatural abilities could allow for further reach, Tana opts to hold off in case anyone becomes injured during the fray – her abilities would be of much better use saving a life if needed. Instead she takes up her quarterstaff, holding a defensive position behind Thatch and Cainneach.
She also attempts to reach out with her mind, poking into the undead to see if there is anything left to grasp onto for communication.
'It's a shame you've left your slumber. But no worries, we'll put you back to rest shortly enough.'
(Action: Mind Link Response if applicable otherwise holding action)
Thatch darts forward striking at the dead thing, but his blade skitters across the tarnished breastplate. Cainneach draws and fires the shaft thudding into a leather buckle.
Tana reaches out with her mind but finds no answer. Famh summons flames from the earth but the dead thing lurches back and avoids them.

Seeing these figures come out of the reeds and start cutting down his companions started to get his fight or flight response going. He wished he had the greatclub in his hands, but he knew this would be the case when he took the roll of carrying the body. Well Ori wasn't about to give up his promise at the first sign of trouble. And then the pain hit, from seemingly out of nowhere, something struck him from the side he was holding the body. He was hoping for cover from it instead got a blind spot, no time for running now and the burning inside him flared as he roared out loud (BA: Rage).
He swing the little hand axe the try and relieve to monsters shoulders from carrying the weight of its head.
Startled by the speed of the undead, Fergus narrowly dodges an attack on his person. Growling in a feral manner, Fergus extends his hand open palm outward. The lines on his palm glow that sickly yellow as embers of energy begin to emit from them. The embers swirl to form a sphere as more and more flicker into existence and join them. Once the ball of energy reaches the size of a large fist, it launches itself like a projectile at one of the thralls.
Tana reaches out with her mind but finds no answer.

Thrall of Tuannon vs Tana: 24 Damage: 7
(Since the thrall has presumably entered melee with this attack and the action was held due to no mind response, Tana will take her swing upon approach.)
Reacting quickly as a thrall enters her space, Tana swings out her quarterstaff in hopes of landing a hit as the corpse lunges forward.
(Attack:21 | Dmg:3)
She recoils with a hiss of pain as the thrall pierces into her skin, a large gash steadily dripping blood as she staggers.
Almeric grunts as the undead creature slams into him, delivering a grievous wound! Blood runs down his side and he is alarmed to see so many undead, causing considerable damage throughout. Almeric stays close to Ori, as they marching together and waves his shield about to distract the undead.
[Almeric uses Fey Gift on Ori = BA Help Action. Ori gains Advantage to his next attack!]
Almeric holds his sword aloft, tapping the pommel on his chest while praying loudly in Bacchile "Benedictus Deus et Saecula" [Almeric uses Action to Lay on Hands on himself, +5HP] The blood stops running from the wounds immediately.
Thatch curses as his blade strikes a harmless, glancing blow at the Thrall, bouncing off of its armor. His strike left him overextended and his eyes go wide as another Thrall’s blade bites deep within his midsection, giving him flashbacks to the earlier fight in Vallander’s tomb. Thatch disengages and scrambles away from the Thrall, moving behind the group to relative safety and draws his shortbow while trying to keep his insides in.

Cainneach realizes the situation is dire and fights the sense of panic rising within him. He glances down at the wound he has suffered and sees a terrible tear across his thigh with blood starting to run more quickly from the wound. Cainneach drops the longbow, draws the ursine shortsword from Vallandar's tomb and a dagger, then turns to attack the undead warrior menacing Tana, hoping to finish it off. He is driven by both logic and chivalry.
(I'm interpreting the order of attacks by the Thralls to indicate some sort of proximity on the battlefield, with Tana's Thrall being the nearest damaged one to Cainneach.)

Her chant ending in a startled exclamation, Famh barely leaps back in time to avoid the blow of the dead thing lunging at her. These Selentines seemed to move far faster dead than her fey ancestors' memories had them moving alive. She felt the sting of a shallow graze and realized she hadn't quite jumped back in time to avoid being nicked ... and she had no armor as some of her companions did. She reached down into her memories and called up another one, of warriors numbing themselves with woad, then fighting in the front lines for hours ...
