Bran looks astonished at Lenn's sudden change in appearance, but guessing he has done that with magic he just finishes stepping back to get out of his way. That was ... scary, though.
Seeing that the two strange guys seem to have changed their mind and decide to attack instead of going back to the woods, the bard addresses the one right in front of him. But when he talks his voice sounds a little different, as if his pitch was slightly modulated. For a moment it looks like that voice belongs to someone else.
- Well, this is really the best for everyone. "Everyone" being the rest of the people trying to use this road peacefully, and us. Not you, dimwit.
(OOC: Bran casts Vicious mockery. The guy "in front" of him needs to succeed on a WIS ST DC 14 or take 1d4 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
No BA.
Movement: can I use my 30feet of movement to grab Kong and move her and myself a couple squares back so Lucian has some space to move forward (if he wishes)? I'm thinking that would use double movement - 10feet- for each square, and that is why we would really move back just a couple of squares back. Also, I'm not trying to move the whole wagon. Just the donkey and myself. And I want the donkey to be behind me if possible.)
(Not that same square, no, but just one up and one to the right from Niko's initial position. Also, Kong is likely hitched up to the wagon. Might take a minute to unhitch her.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lucian, doing his best to push away the shakiness in his limbs, pulls an old dagger from his belt. He'd dealt with scuffles on the streets, but he'd had the sense to run if someone drew something larger than a dagger. His mentor had taught him some basics of how to fight men like this, but he's never actually had to use that training. Still, he doesn't really have a choice right now. He knows he'd be more useful if he could get closer to one of these enemies, but he doesn't want to risk the Wolf. So, he moves in front of Chara and to her right, hoping to give her space to shoot off some spells while still staying protectively ahead of her and gaining a clear shot for himself. He adjusts his grip on the dagger, pulling out another in his left hand before hurling the first one at the berserker in front of Lenn.
(Unhitching Kong would take a few turns, so I'm going to go ahead and not move you, Bran, per #1033)
Bran'swords hit the strange man like a fist, causing him to twist his face in confusion, pain, and, after a moment, even more rage. He focuses his ire on Bran.
Lucianlets fly with a dagger. It flies past the other strange man (strange man 2), but not without leaving a deep cut in the side of his thigh. The man laughs, spittle flying from his mouth.
Strange man 2 then swings his greataxe at Lenn, screaming incoherently. He hits Lenn in the side, doing 12 points of damage.
The other of the men closes, wobbling slightly in disorientation. He swings at Bran, again with full strength. The axe comes down on Bran'sright thigh, doing 9 points of damage.
Both men have put their all into their attacks, leaving them open for counterattacks. (Everyone has advantage to hit them until the weirdos next turn)
Map!
(Lucian, right after I made the map, I realized that you probably meant Chara's other side. I can fix it next map, if you like. I don't think it matters all that much.)
Seeing Bran hit by the brutal attack, Eithne again feels that seething fury capable of transforming her. Her voices join her rage, empowering it incredibly with their wild screams, angry roars, animal growls…
Once again the fury becomes physical: her azure eyes dilate and seem to emit lightning, the angelic face deform into almost demonic features, the muscles visibly swell underneath her clothes, filling them to the point of making them almost explode...
The savage stranger channels the fury of a hundred thousand elf dusk females unjustly exterminated as she lunges at her opponent like a tidal wave, roaring only three thundering words: "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"
(OOC: Eithne rages and rushes to attack the enemy that hit Bran)

Chara hesitates for a moment... vicious thugs or not, these people are, well... people. She really doesn't want to kill them...
But seeing one of them hit Bran with an axe is enough to shock her out of her initial uneasiness. If these men are going to hurt her friends, they're going to see the dark side of the 'dark angel.'
Chara leaps into the air, flying above the battlefield where the men can't hit her with their axes. She uses her bonus action to cast Hex on the man who just assaulted Bran, and then attacks him with an Eldritch Blast
Attack: 22 Damage: 14
Hex: 6 Necrotic damage

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
You know how it is - the world isn't fair... When the wind blows, handsome men always seem to have the wind in their hair... less handsome ones only get the dust in their eyes! 😉
(Not to mention that Lenn is a vampire! They can only kill him with a stake through the heart - and they, poor things, use greatexes... They have no hope against him)
( Unfortunately Lenn is only half vampire and their axes could prove enough to send him to the grave.. permanently, but do not worry, He is about to retaliate... hard... well... we all know that I am going to roll a nat 1 on that attack right? hahaha )

(Seeing that my plan of being conservative of the only thing Bran has that he's really good at for combat - 3 slots for a whole day and, well, its probably still morning IC and we haven't even reached the winery! - has already gone south - in his next turn he'll most probably disengage, GTFO and BA Healing Word himself - he'll also use his Silvery Barbs to try to help Lenn if he gets attacked again. Hope this doesn't sound like a /cry ... I'm just trying to state my idea of an strategy!
In any case, I have a mechanic question that I would like to know, even though Bran can't know: can Lenn be healed with Healing Word? The spell states that it does not work on undead.)
