Watching Jan's blade sink into the man, Dave-a tightens her grip a bit, "Are you ready to talk or do we need to continue to teach you a lesson. After what you've done, I think we'd rather continue to teach you a lesson. Up to you though." she says this as she unsheathes her greatsword.
She readies her unlethal attack, and if he refuses she uses the broadside of the sword to continue to bash the man in frustration (Nat 20 attack! 23 bludgeoning damage)
The oddly coloured raven again takes advantage of all the commotion and its beak finds its way through to strike your opponent, Gary, again. That flesh wound and all the shouting at him doesn't make him look like he's going to make any attempt to give up.
As he raises his short sword again, Dave-A unleashes a ridiculously damaging attempt at being gentle. It appears that Dave-A thinks non-lethal means trying to club someone to death instead of cutting them.
Regardless, that finally has the desired affect, and Gary drops his blade and holds his hands up to show he's now unarmed.
The raven grabs the hilt of the sword and flaps it away from Gary towards Jan, who has reclaimed her dagger and is turning around in circles trying to look at where she was stabbed, her fingers exploring a cut in her clothing that is covered by illusion.

‘Gary’ looks at Martin-Marrin. Even on this placid face, you can all see him trying to make sense of the stream of consciousness questions he’s being peppered with.
He closes his eyes for a moment but then shakes his head quickly and his eyes pop back open again.
Finally his shoulders saga a little and he gestures with his head into the caravan.
“Let’s go inside to talk.”
He makes to move that way, but realizes he’s still being held tightly. He then watches the interaction between Karen-Jan and Martin-Marrin with some interest.
“Noon helped you, didn’t he?” Gary finally says.
Assuming the party brings him back into the caravan, Gary sighs.
“It’s not personal. Just a job,” he says. “Like any other. Though they could have provided better details on your abilities.”
"Hey, we are asking the questions. Not you! More answering, less askinging."
Martin smacks his lips,
"Okay, I guess we can go in. Door stays open. You try anything -"
He does a combo stab/bonk. He'll then pat the guy down before heading in. Inside Martin would clear a spot on the floor first and make the guy lay there. He'd also clear anything weapony looking.
"Pretty sure that was one of my questions. Who is they?"
Three fingers up again,
"Targets, why targets, anyone else after the targets."
He goes through the list without lowering any fingers and seems to forget he has them up.
"It's not personal," Gary says again. "The client wanted to know what you know and once I had that he wanted you taken care of. He made it sound like you were a bunch of innocent babes in the woods. I should have known better. It's not very professional."
He thinks for a moment then shrugs.
"Professor Owens," Gary says. "At least that's what he called himself. Didn't really care. The coin was good."
"He was vague on that point," Gary says. "A prophecy of some sort. One that involves all of you."
He pauses and you can tell he's actually trying to read your reactions to see if you know what he's talking about.
On the next question, he actually smiles.
"Based on a description you're going to traipse across Faerun looking for him?" Gary asks. "Okay. Human. In his sixties, short grey hair, a bit doughy, claims he's 5'10" but he's really 5'9". Wears those scholar robes."
Jan wonders whether whatever is on the blade is poisonous to shape changers too. For that matter, do they have organs, or is it all just grey goo inside? She looks back and forth between the blade and the captive.

((You had advantage on that attack @kq, but looks like you didn't need it!))
Martin looks between the really aggressive big crow and the weapon coming out and really smacking the guy.
He will move into the guy's line of sight to make sure his eyes are focusing and he is still conscious before saying,
"Please? Just toss your sword away and we can talk. No reason to die."

Martin squints an eye as the big dirty crow grabs the sword and flies it to Mamma Jan.
"Uh..."
Then seeing Jan spinning in circles her hand disappearing as she does.
"The crow's with us?"
Martin poses that to Dave-a.
"Wait, no. You. Time to talk."
Martin sits on the ground next Gary.
"Okay. If you try to run or something Dave's, well Dave's gonna bash you. Right Dave? Got it?"
Martin waits for an acknowledgement,
"Cool, cool, cool. So I'm talking now cus my thoughts are a spinning like she is actually spinning. Is she still spinning?"
He'll look over,
"Yup. She's going to puuuuke. Well, let's stay focused. Got three questions for you - who were you after last night?"
Martin raises his hand at this point and holds up three fingers.
"Next, who sent you after them?"
Lowers a finger,
"Then, why'd they send you?"
He lowers another finger, then looks at his remaining lifted finger.
"How many was that? Uh... Oh was there anyone else sent! Ya!"
He lowers his finger.
"If you help us out here we'll put in a good word for you with the management here."
He smiles then stops smiling, looking surprised like he just remembered something,
"Oh right... Dave? Mamma? We got anymore questions?"
"They're a raven... well, not really. Don't worry 'bout it. They're fine."
She frowns with her hand half in her side as she takes the sword and looks at the end before staggering over.

Dave-a nods to Martin's questions and waits as patiently as she can for some answers.
Martin gives mamma Jan an exaggerated shushing motion.
"What're you shushing me for? Shush yoourshelf!"

Gary raises an eyebrow at Martin-Marrin.
"You really do look like a drunk kid," Gary says.
He looks around at the three of you.
"It's not personal," Gary says again. "The client wanted to know what you know and once I had that he wanted you taken care of. He made it sound like you were a bunch of innocent babes in the woods. I should have known better. It's not very professional."

Avaria stands back a bit from the interrogation, but is ready to grapple again if he shows any signs of trying to dodge them.
"Wanted to know what we know about what?" she growls. "And what did this Professor Owens look like?"
"Why thank you."
And then, in support of Dave,
"Ya!"
"He was vague on that point," Gary says. "A prophecy of some sort. One that involves all of you."

Martin gives his blankest expression, because he is completely blank on any prophecy.
"Neat."
He nods along with the description,
"Where'd ya meet him? Oh, and how much gold was he paying?"
Jan wonders whether whatever is on the blade is poisonous to shape changers too. For that matter, do they have organs, or is it all just grey goo inside? She looks back and forth between the blade and the captive.
