Nygil curses as he moves across the sandy ground...this was an entirely new terrain for him. He flinches a little when he hears the dragon roar, only to realize that it was just an illusion. He stops, looking back at the group and preparing himself for battle. What happened to sneaking? Oh well, this would be more fun...

"All right you nasty little vermin! You shall taste my fist and wallow in your defeat....and guts," Nygil yells as the dragon's roar illusion reverberates across the sandy expanse. "Come on!" he shouts to his companions. "Lets do this!" 

He rushes the bugs, aiming to hit as many as he can through attacking the swarm--chopping the bugs in half with the sides of his hands. 

I'm going to use flurry of blows as my free action:

The swarms of bugs are frightened by the Dragon's roar. They start to move to to the left of the group. However, one of the swarms runs strait into Nygil who immediately starts thinning it's numbers.

As soon as he sees his allies start to attack, Rethan returns to his own senses and stands before hurling a handaxe at the nearest giant beetle (assuming I'm able to see them or get close enough to see them after standing?  Not sure how close I ended up when I moved up next to Mordred.  60 foot long range on hand axe though, and I believe you said those of us without darkvision could see about 50 feet.  Will move 15 feet closer after standing either. ).

"I guess we're doing this," he mutters to himself under his breath.

(When it's Jack's turn)

Oh, I swear to Faia... Jack quickly gets up, running to follow Nygil towards the bugs. Reaching for the rectangle case strapped on his back, he latches open a small compartment and a sickle slides out neatly into his free hand. With a dagger in his other hand, he rushes at the same swarm Nygil is attacking, aiming to use him to catch it off guard and do more damage.

Free Action: Two-Weapon Fighting + Sneak Attack (if applicable)

Rethan and Jack run up next to Nygil to aid him in fighting the horde of beetles. Jack manages to kill off the remainder of swarm H. Unfortunately, Rethan's axe smacks the giant beetle, bouncing off it's carapace dealing it no damage.

"As bad as this looks, might as well start big," thought Jumble as he carefully aimed his magic through his familiar's senses. The bard put his shawm to his lips and played a high tone, then quickly descended the scale to a low, long note, visualizing the area of his spell. Flashes and ribbons of bright colors suddenly appeared in the target space, attempting to lull the creatures inside into passivity.

He then called out to his ally, "Mordred! You are favored of your god, so I know we'll succeed!"

I've drawn a 30-foot square on the map over the targeted area; let me know if it's not visible.

ACTION: Cast Hypnotic Pattern, targeting 8 enemy creatures inside it's area; each needs to make a DC 15 WIS save or become charmed, incapacitated and immobile (speed of zero.)
BONUS: Give Bardic Inspiration (a d6 die) to Mordred.

Mordred had listened in, he thought about avoiding this fight but with two of them lacking skills in stealth it was hard to imagine how it would be possible. It was probably smart to handle any threats that could sneak up on them later, cover their flanks. Still though Mordred knew not everybody would be happy to get caught in a fight. Mordred had heard the sounds of some fighting up ahead. He had ran ahead (30 feet) he had dropped his blade on the ground gesturing his hand toward Jack.

"Divine light, I ask of you shelter thee under my wing."

It felt.. Hallow to say such words, his blessings and powers were there but his inner voice.. The silence in return from his god was maddening. Still he'd use these powers as best he could to protect those in front of them. Covering Jack in a shrouded magical shield, though Mordred's magic wasn't as bright and beaming as before it at least was as effective. Mordred had taken his foot under his blade kicking it up grabbing the blade in midair as he prepared to move in further (Next turn.)

Mordred had looked at Jumble as he felt a small burst of energy. Was this jumble's magic? Mordred remembered his friends of old giving him such little pep talks. "Me? Favored?" What a joke he couldn't help but feel. Though it wasn't Jumble's words or intent, it was the fact Mordred couldn't hear a single word from his lord. "Favored" no he mustn't let such doubts sink in. He must take Jumble's aid and cut a path forward. He'd worry about everything else later he had to focus on the battle in front of him.

Jumble casts his spell, he manages to capture three of the giant beetles, however the smaller swarms of beetles are unaffected by this spell in fact, it seems to have angered them as their buzzing intensifies.  (Immune to charm) Beetles B, C, and D are now incapacitated.

Mordred successfully casts Shield of faith on Jack.

Now that we have a map, I'll use my free action. I'm assuming I can get a shot on swarm E over midnight given he's tiny

Zalten feels Kashika's magic wash over him, and with it, a sense of comfort. It's not the kind of magic he's used to, but the feeling of it running through his veins is familiar enough to feel welcoming. He pulls his crossbow off of his back, holding the magic within him for now until he gets a better chance to use it, and takes a shot at Swarm E

Zalten's shot flies true, spearing several insects with the single bolt. They buzz angrily, whizzing back and forth trying to decide who to attack.

Forgot to roll Midnights initiative (unless you want him to just share with me. I've seen it done both ways in PbP).

 Tamara saw the battle unfold in front of her and moved up to get a better look, darting up behind Kashika. With Rethan and Zalten both locked in battle, she decided to help them out. And that, she thought as her power welled, is my specialty. The energy reached its peak and three bolts of fire flew from her fingertips.

Since I missed my extra attack, I would like to just add another attack from Flurry of Blows onto that "combo" lol. 

I hate to retcon though, so if its alright I will direct this last attack at beetle b (I have to move to do this 5ft, so I hope thats alright.) 

I will attack that beetle and use my open hand technique on it... so it must make a dex save of 12, or fall prone and be pushed back 15ft.

"Haha! Yes!" Nygil shouts, slapping beetles as he goes.
