While kneeling behind the tree, the creature's deafening cry whipes the air. Thea's face is twisted in pain as the sound tears through her, directly cutting into her head. Her before so focussed mind is ripped out of balance and she drops to the floor, hands covering her ears.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Liavyre looks back to see Fjorgin faceplant in the ground after seeing not everyone made it to the trees. She is just about to make a break to help him when she hears the screech of the beast and quickly covers her pointy ears, keeping her eyes tightly closed.

The beckoning roar strikes fear into the hearts of those around it. Those who failed the saving throw feel the urge to run away, even abandoning the others should they not.
Fjorgin manages to scurry to the treeline before the huge hound looks around, its nostrils seem to be sniffing as black fumes begin to emanate from within.
Haunted by the scream that is still thundering through her ears, Thea's senses betray her for a moment as her primeval reflexes kick in and force her to run from the source of the noise by all means.
Fjorgin attempts to grapple Thea and cover her mouth to prevent her from screaming.
"It's fine. Pelor will guide us, we must steel our nerve."

Thea attempts to flee, but aasimar manages to wrestle her to the ground. As she hits the floor, a sudden paralysis comes over her from the fear as she can feel the foul breath of the beast in her mind. (She doesn't need to resist running away currently, but is still frightened while the beast is nearby)
"Quick!" Pip tries to get the attention of the others. "Before the beast comes this way!" He points off deeper into the forest of dead trees.
"Thanks, Ragmin. Onwards we must go, always. We'll deal with that guy some other time."

There is sounds of huge paws crashing against the nearby treeline as the group retreats further into the forest. The charred trees seem to warp and become more gnarled the further in the group gets. After a minute of sprinting from the beast, Pip skids to a halt.
(Thea, you are no longer under the compulsion to retreat)
Seeing where Pip has stopped, there is clear signs of a red glow on the ground in the area. Surveying the area there are several small chipped stones, around the size of pebbles, which seem to be the source of this crimson aura. "These wasn't here last time I came through." Pip mentions, then points further in. "The Chapel is just over there. But if the hell rock is here, then a really bad devil must be about, too."
"Sorry about that, i really dont know what struck me. Do you have any idea what we might have to deal with in the chapel? And in case we need to fight it, did we cover enough distance to ensure that barking dog wont help its buddy midfight?"
The hound doesn't seem to have given chase to the group fortunately. "Never been in there." Pip admits. "But I've been this close before. There wasn't any hell rock this close to it, though." He attempts to look for other points of interest for a moment, letting the group decide what to do.
Liavyre says, "Perhaps I can help..."She sits on the ground and holds a couple fingers to her forehead, deep in concentration. She focuses on Primeval Awareness to see if there are any devils nearby within a 6 mile radius.
After she is done she would like to inspect the tracks to see if we can determine exactly what devil (fiend, favored enemy) made these tracks and any other information from them.

(After 1 hr in Favored Terrain) While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area
(You haven't been in the current environment for an hour yet, but we can get to that when the time is appropriate)
Liavyre attunes her senses, the whispers of nature giving her knowledge others would never be able to grasp. For Liavyre:
Oh yes, there are devils in this area. You believe that within a 6 mile radius around you there are 37 fiends. Not nice.
From a quick check around the area, you see tracks for a few different fiends. Signs of Balgura tracks are in the area, though it looks like it has been several days since they roamed this part of the forest. There is also a large set of bony prints that could mean potentially a bone devil is amongst the number of fiends you detected.
While Liavyre rests aside, concentrating, Thea turns to the group, to come up with a plan for the final act of their mission. "Well, now that we've made it this far, how shall we proceed? While sneaking up to that thing might be the most safe or rather appropriate, i must admit that im burning to finally wipe out one of those creatures..."
