(OOC: I'm not super familiar with hex-grid coordinates, can you give a quick explanation? Like what coordinate is Jordi at? Is that Y8? And what is the coordinate directly north/south of him?)
Edit: (OOC: I think I get it after looking at it more. We're skipping letters on the vertical, and it is an up/down staggered pattern to the horizontal. So I'd be at Q8. That'd leave 3 empty hexes between me and Jordi. Right?)
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
I guess I am just too old school :) Pen and paper we always did external encounters in Hex (and hex paper wasn't as easy to find as it is now). Easier to calculate (circular) range.
1. I could have hosed the grid, unfortunately the program I use doesn't label the coordinate axis automatically.
2. Lots of tree trunks and logs for partial cover. So, partial cover for both parties.
3. Jordi can't see the goblins right now, but it seems they are just outside the cave.
4. Jordi hasn't given himself away, so consider his last roll good.
So I was laying awake last night trying to get sugar plums to dance in my head and put me to sleep, but the Cosmology/Genesis of this world kept running through my head. I only hope I can remember enough of the genesis when I get back to my computer. Way to much to write on a phone!!
Chris hearing the commotion both from the party and the cave will hold Mind Sliver for if any enemy’s appear in view! While slowly catching up to Jordi.
Bridger will trudge forward until he is adjacent to Jordi. (Just south east of him, standing on a footprint)
There he'll ready an action to Firebolt anything that resembles an enemy coming our way or attacking.

I'm probably laughing.

Jordi will continue to creep forward to AD7, maintaining stealth, and trying to find some cover for extra protection. (let me know if I need a new roll). He will continue to peer at the cave, searching for any sign of hostiles.
He will ready an arrow in his bow, to be fired if any goblin attempts to attack them.
The moon is almost full and its pale light shines into the face of two creatures that appears above the small ledge of stone, giving some indication as to its looks. Their heads are small, but unusually long, with a very broad, flat nose that seems to hang to its lip. Two wide, long ears stick several inches out and above the head of each, and each has a top knot of hair, though the one (on the left) has a much longer and bushier length of hair.
Jordi
"Enemy! Enemy!" he shouts in Goblin.
A: Long knot yells something unintelligible a couple of times and disappears back toward the cave.
B: The second, raises a short bow and takes aim at Magnus. His arrow streaks through the under-brush but goes wide of its mark
Chris: Raises his hand to the creature and the creature reels back in pain, almost dropping his bow.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(Are the voices coming from the cave to the north? Can Jordi see any goblins or just hear them? Does he need to make another stealth roll to hide?)

Chris hearing the commotion both from the party and the cave will hold Mind Sliver for if any enemy’s appear in view! While slowly catching up to Jordi.
Magnus notices Chris preparing for confrontation and the whistling becomes dark and sinister.
Also, he prepares a Chill Touch hand to slap the first enemy he sees.
Bridger will trudge forward until he is adjacent to Jordi. (Just south east of him, standing on a footprint)
There he'll ready an action to Firebolt anything that resembles an enemy coming our way or attacking.
