Darbakh marches straight toward the uninsured bandit on the left, though his movement still leaves him five feet away from his target.* “How do you like them apples?” he yells while casting his fire bolt with more pomp than usual, hoping to distract attention away from Gordon.
Aeron walks over to the bandit who's holding his bloodied face; the bandit tries to dodge; but with one swift, smooth motion, Aeron takes him out with a solid mace to the chest.
Meanwhile Darbakh maneuvers toward the bandit on the left, and lands a bolt of fire right on his face. The bandit actually manages to suppress his yell down to a load, guttural grunt, but the smell of burnt flesh betrays his composed response--it's clear he is badly injured.
(( Secret Morale Check:
Bandit's Wisdom Check: 20 - will flee if he beats a DC 10 Bandit's Stealth Check: 3 - will hide if he flees
The last bandit standing, his armor still smoldering, looks around: first at his dead leader, then at the bandit at Aeron's feet. He doesn't even bother hiding the fear that enters his eyes, instead slowly and cautiously backing away from Darbakh, before turning and running away into the forest.
(( The bandit is now 70 feet from Aeron, 55 feet from Gordon, 50 feet from Evan, 35 feet from Darbakh, and 60 feet from the rest of the party. He can be targeted, but unless you can get within 30 feet of him, he will have half-cover due to the trees and foliage. If no party members pursue before next round, he will escape, and the encounter will be over. ))

Gordon will walk forward and say, "Drop your weapons and surrender. We won't kill you, but you need to be brought to justice." If that's an intimidation check, Gordon gets 17 (One of his runes gives him advantage). If it's persuasion, only take the first number.

Evan runs after the bandit, closing the distance to get a better shot. He casts his spell, focusing on his target and directing the eldritch energies toward him.
MOVE: Evan uses his full movement, closing to 20 feet and eliminating most of the bandit's cover. ACTION: Cast Eldritch Blast, targeting the bandit * Blast - Attack: 5, Force Damage: 9 (or 16 instead if crit)
The blast strikes the bandit square in the back, and he doesn't even have time to cry out before it cuts him down. He falls near a thicket of shrubs that has a strange glint coming from within.
(( End of Encounter ))
(( We've successfully cleared all our allotted encounters for the Forest of Wonders! Your loot should be nearby; please feel free to roleplay finding and divvying it while I tally XP and roll for magic items. Whistler will be heading back to town after this, but if anyone wants to continue on with another round of encounters, I'll finish up and toss it over to the new admin. ))
(( The party earns a grand total of 3450 XP, which split six ways is 575 XP each. Breakdown of XP for anyone interested:
The first encounter's threat was a 19, which meant no threat, and instead, roll two threats on the next encounter. So the "first" encounter was skipped, and earned no XP.
The next encounter (Encounter 1) had two threats; the cold weather was worth 200xp, then there was a mummy (700xp) and three goblins (150xp together) for a total of 1050xp.
Encounter 2 was just two orcs: 200xp total
Encounter 3 was the village that would eventually be on fire, but as it seemed the fire wouldn't pose much of a threat to you given the location, I replaced the danger from the fire with a Uthgardt Barbarian Leader instead (450xp)
Encounter 4 was the lava lake. The hidden pit trap near it was worth 200xp, and I spiced it up by adding the danger of a lava flow for another 200xp, for a total of 400xp.
Encounter 5, the last, was the campfire with the two bandits (50xp together) and the thug (100xp.) Since there were six of us, I thought we'd make short work of them, so I gave the thug a bit of a backstory and a power boost for an extra 200xp (although you guys took him out without him even using it, lol.) Total: 350xp.
The party got an additional 1000xp just for being a tier 1 party. With the encounters, this gave a grand total of: 3450xp to be split six ways (575xp each.)
The administrator received an additional 200xp per threat; with six threats rolled up, that was 1200xp extra for Whistler.
Evan digs into the shrubbery, and finds a stash of coins and items, apparently the treasure that the bandits had... acquired from others.
(( The total loot found is as follows:
* Coins worth a total of 217gp -- Whistler will toss two coppers into the pile, so it splits evenly six ways, with each share containing 36gp and 17cp.
* A burlap sack that everything had been carried in (why not?) ))
Whistler walks up behind Evan, rubbing his beard. "Well, I was hopin' for a shortsword, but this all ain't too bad." He counts the coins, adds 2 coppers from his own purse, and divides them evenly into six piles. He then looks at the items, and asks the others, "So... how do ya'll wanna divvy this?"
*pretty sure Whistler is not rubbing Evan’s beard, if he even has one*
Gordon already has a superior healing potion, and those would sell for a lot. If anyone uses a pike they can have it (we could even give it to someone who didn’t go on the adventure). If we build up a stock of sending stones, then each party could use it to communicate with the people in town. We could also sell them, though.

The familiar scouts the area, but sees no other loot. It does run across the occasional food scrap--a neatly-cleaned rabbit carcass, discarded apple cores, etc.--suggesting the bandits had been at the site for probably a couple of days.
In response to Darbakh's question, Whistler shrugged. "Seemed like another adventurer to me. At least, seemed like he was befo' he got infected and went nuts. I don't know that these guys had anything to do with 'im, considerin' that was over past that lava lake." He rubbed his own beard again. "You know, I didn't see a single weapon up in that village. No armor either. Mebbe they just were peaceful folk? But if they were helping an injured fighter, they probably didn't stand a chance once he turned."

(( As the only magic weapon/armor, how about we settle what happens with the pike first? Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a character that used one for their main weapon. But that said, it could easily replace a glaive or halberd; I'd think there was someone in the campaign with Polearm Mastery who'd want it, if none of us do.
The sending stones could prove useful, if anyone's interested in those, but they might just be best sold.
And the six piles was just in case everyone wanted an equal cut of the coin. We could always account for the cost of the items and re-divide the coin so that those who don't get an item get more gold. ))
(( Also, I'll have Whistler drag back the bandit crossbows and leather. Even sold back at half price, that's an extra 90gp we can add to the loot. Edit: if I'd been thinking I would have grabbed that dwarf's greataxe too. Ah well. ))
