Darbakh mulls around the corpses for a bit, peering at the underbrush noncommittally. "Evan...is there anything of interest on these miscreants? Anything which might explain how they had a bloody mummy out here in the cold?" the Duergar asked.
Aeron looks over the charred mummy remains. It's mostly as expected, burned flesh and cloth, but he notices that the iron shackle around the mummy's neck is undamaged, and is actually connected to another, open shackle. Both have a small keyhold in them, and It looks as if unlocking and opening the one at the neck would free the attached chain, which also appears undamaged.
(( Aeron can acquire both a 10-ft. chain and a pair of manacles, both of which are standard equipment in the PHB, by unlocking the shackle. ))
Whistler picked up the daggers he had flung, both from the ground and from the charred mummy. He quickly cleaned them before walking back to the others. "Welp," he said with a grin, "that wasn't too bad. Y'all need a rest, or ready to get back at 'er?"
Sorry it took me a while. Gordon is doing pretty well, and does not need a short rest. He'll grab the goblin scimitars if nobody else wants them.

(( Evan finds that each of the two downed goblins had a shortbow, a scimitar in it's sheath, a quiver with 10 and 9 arrows respectively, leather armor, and a small wooden shield beside them. Sadly, there are carrying no coins or magic items, although one also has a key on him. ))
A scimitar is taken by Gordon. Redoff will take a short bow and a quiver. He sorts the other useful items on the ground.
He drags the dead bodies next to the mummy's corpse. "Should we burn the corpses? Or just drag 'em to the woods?"
Evan takes a shield "leaving them be might attract unwanted visitors, I'm all for burning them"
Darbakh holds up his open palm and casts a few harmless, unaimed embers of his Fire Bolt around in the air. “I concur; predators or worse could be attracted to the corpses. Once I burn them, I’m ready if you fellows are.”
Evan takes the key, putting it in his pack
*Would arrows work with a crossbow?*
the biggest screwup since the screw was invented
Unfortunately, no; a crossbow requires bolts.
