ROUND 6!
The ravens in the Fermentation Room continue their relentless revenge against the hapless blights, diving down to kill another. There are now only two Twig Blights remaining.
All is not well, however, as Burrsees new participants to the dance in the Fermentation Room. New creatures emerge from the broken door in the west of the room, climbing over barrels and lurching over the stone floor. Unlike the Twig Blights, made of branches and solid wood, these new creatures look like anthropomorphic piles of dead, brown pine needles. They are animated by some dark forest magic, and the piles of needles advance forward with murderous intent, much faster than the Twig Blights. Worse, they can attack from range! The three that have entered the room extend their arms out, and a barrage of prickling pine needles flare out toward Thornand Burr. All three hit!
Attack on Thorn: 13 Damage: 10
Attack on Burr: 20 Damage: 4
Attack on Burr: 19 Damage: 9
Another continues past the first floor, up the ramp to the second floor....
Where the Formerly Hidden Druid continues to grin madly at Soren. "Consider our offer, while we continue this grotesque waltz with the other hapless intruders...". He wipes some of the bird scat off of his and nods at Nettlein respect. Then the white and black speckles turn to fire in his hand, and he snaps his fingers, flicking a tiny ball of flame, not at Sorenbut at the little owl on his shoulder.
Ranged Spell Attack at Nettle: 11 Damage: 5Fire Damage
Then the Druid cackles and moves south, through the second door, closing it behind him.
Above him, Burrsees a door on the catwalk open and a filthy human man in mossy rags and smeared with what looks like blood and bird droppings steps through, closing the door behind him.

The dark druid's ball of flame strikes the panicked-looking Nettle, burning her feathers but not slaying her thanks to Bramble's primal resilience. Nettle: 1/1hp 3 Temp HP, down from 8 Temp HP
Soren stows his longbow and wields his dagger, his expression implacable, striding west to the door the corrupted staff-bearer had exited a moment earlier. The instant he opens the door, a furious airborne Nettle barrels through, clawing at the dark druid's gut (help action).
As the owl Wild Companion settles back on his shoulder, Soren stares down the vile man. There is some dark ritual afoot. They may be bringing some great corrupted evil into this world, worse even than these blights, with the darklord's blessing perhaps, and perhaps even with this "vampire's staff"... It would benefit us to know more, but I dare not leave him alive. He is too dangerous. Perhaps his facial expression will reveal something if I...
"There is more beauty and strength in ever-growing, vibrant nature across all the worlds than dreamt of in your philosophy, betrayer." Soren's projects his voice, as if speaking absolute truth. "Silvanus' wild grace thrives in all worlds, while the 'ancient' darklord you now prostrate yourselves to rules only this one. And he, like us, is trapped within its mists or he would leave." Soren does not know this for certain, but he guesses it to be so.
"So tell me true, betrayer, what happens when I take from your traitor's corpse this 'vampire's staff.' The one you claim forces nature to bow to your whim. What happens if I take it and my colleagues and I use it to undermine the very purpose of your dark ritual. What then?"
As he stabs his dagger towards the corrupted druid's heart, Soren gazes intently at his eyes. His foe thus far had shown no fear at the prospect of death, but Soren tries to gauge the man's reaction, perhaps any sudden doubt or alarm or surprise, at the sudden idea of the staff being used (in some way, Soren acts like he knows how, though he does not) to disrupt the ritual tonight with the "corruption being given form" and "{roots feasting} on rotting corpses."
Sorendagger to hit dark druid (with advantage from help): 24 Sorendagger damage on dark druid: 4 piercing SorenInsight at his foe's reaction to the idea of the "vampire's staff" being used to undermine the ritual: 18
Seeing Thorn and Burr still battling the last of the twig blights and newer, deadlier ones too, and hearing Giles and Zefla further along the as a bonus action, Soren moves Bramble the incorporeal bear, up to 60' west along the north upper wall of the cask room, to try to include the latter two in his aura.
Movement: if his dagger thrust slays the dark druid, Soren uses the rest of his movement to continue west and south along the balcony with Nettle landing back on his shoulder, closing the door behind him and stepping over the druid's body. (Would love to pick up the staff, but used free action already). Alternatively, if the dark druid still lives, Soren braces himself for an attack from the "vampire's staff", and from the needle blight on the ramp.
Thorn: 14/30hp (down from 29/30hp) The spirit wolf yelps, finally sensing the pain as the blights' most recent attacks land, particularly from the newcomers. Breaking away from the last twig blight (taking an opportunity attack), he lopes north and east along the north wall to the nearest needle blight there, sinking his jaws into it savagely.
(Rolled with advantage for Pack Tactics in case Burr is going to be adjacent, but first roll was the higher one anyway) Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight: 18 Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight: 11 piercing (If this slays the enemy, and if he has movement left, the summoned wolf continues onward to enter melee with the next northern needle blight).
Zefla's eyes go wide as she belatedly realizes these creatures are not the same ones from the fermentation room. She really must pay more attention. Luckily, the vines from the second creature are not able to hold her down and she is just wrapped up in the vines from the one in front of her.
Using her nimbleness feat, she attempts to get out with advantage, acrobatics: 18
Pushing herself away from the creature, she uses her bonus action to disengage now that she is bloodied and backs up her 25' towards Giles.
Zeflawriggles out of the vines almost effortlessly. The witless vine creature looks at its empty tangles with what must be confusion as the halfling scout backpedals down the hallway and away from it.
Sorentests the old druid's metal with a bluff about the staff and this ominous ritual he speaks of. The druid glances down at his staff of spongey dark wood. "Do you like it?" he asks, a grin spreading across his bloody red mouth.
As Sorenplunges his dagger into the fallen one's chest, the grin freezes... and then he pulls Sorenclose. The intense odor of rotten teeth, mushrooms, and body funk nearly overwhelm the half elf, as the man whispers intimately into his ear, the words a mishmash of common and druidic:
"The threads of fate weave a tapestry, and you stand at its frayed edges, helpless and ignorant. Hah! The ancient one demands his due, and the ritual will unfold, whether you wish it or not! The earth trembles in anticipation, and the air reeks with the scent of impending doom. Go there and see! The ritual calls for willing and unwilling participants, both. Choose, fool, choose whether to be marionette, or martyr, as you stand before the avatar of decay!"
Then the old man's fingers release Sorenand the body slumps backward, tipping over the railing and falling, striking hard off the side of the easternmost fermentation barrel and striking the stone floor of the chamber with a hard, wet thunk. Someone, the ugly dark staff has found its way into Soren'sspare hand.
Insight: The man was insane. To the extent that Soren thinks he can draw any conclusions from the man's reaction, the old druid did not seem the least concerned about Soren's threat. Indeed, he seemed to hope you would take the staff back to where ever this ritual was happening.
Thornpulls away from the Twig Blights and advances on the Needle Blights. As it steps away, the remaining two blights attempt to strike it [Reactions to take AOO]. One of them hits the spirit wolf with its claws...
Attack: 20 Damage: 3
... but the other, in its haste, struck down its ally by mistake [Crit Miss + Max Damage], leaving only one Twig Blight.
Thornengages and bites the nearest Needle Blight. He bites hard, but at first it seems not enough, and these new monsters appear tougher than the multitude of smaller Twig Blights. But with a few more good ragdoll shakes, the Needle Blight collapses into a pile of loose pine needles. Thornspits as many of the irritating bits out of its mouth, then advances on the other northern Needle Blight, closing to melee range.
Back upstairs, the Vine Blights advance toward Zefla, painfully slowly. The one that had grappled her moves 10' down the hall, reaching a distance of 15' from Zefla. The other emerges from the Printing Press Room and follows immediately behind it down the hall. The nearest Vine Blight pauses, and then its feet sprout grey roots into the floor boards. Suddenly, another patch of vines erupt around Zefla. Gilesis beyond the reach of this effect.
Entangling Plants (Recharge 5–6). Grasping roots and vines sprout in a 15-foot radius centered on the blight, withering away after 1 minute. For the duration, that area is difficult terrain for nonplant creatures. In addition, each creature of the blight’s choice in that area when the plants appear must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or become restrained. A creature can use its action to make a DC 12 Strength check, freeing itself or another entangled creature within reach on a success.
As this is happening, the Druid from the printing press room races out and past the end of the hall. Zeflaand Gileshear another door open and close...
... and back in the Fermentation Room, Sorenand Burrhear the door at the east end of the catwalk open, as another druid enters the room. She pauses just inside the door. A veil of moss conceals her face, but she seems to be taking quick stock of the carnage, the two other dead druids and the piles upon piles of dead Twig Blights.
As if on queue, Burrstrides forward with his maul and demolishes the last surviving Twig Blight with a thunderous smash.

Giles pauses for a moment as he is about to yank Zefla away from the clutching vines, but she manages to free herself. Last round he pointed at the leading vine blight and a gong went off around it, damaging it with necrotic energy. Now he starts to descend the stairs, he moves part way but can still see the floating ethereal great axe and he watches as it tries to swing into the vine blight, but it does not appear to make contact. He makes it move forward down the hall 20 feet to follow him. He again points at the leading vine blight, another gong sound going off as he hopes to damage it even further.
((For last turn, toll the dead damage : 6 points of necrotic damage if uninjured (1D8) or if already injured, 1 point of damage (1D12).))

Burr broke north east as the creature fell closing into melee with the two pine-needle-things. He whipped the maul out across his shoulders and span it around trying to crush one against the wall.
Gilesspells seem to have left the leading Vine Blight on the edge of death, its coils sagging and trailing on the floor, but his spiritual axe is unable to deliver a final chop. He retreats halfway down the spiral staircase. At the bottom, he sees a room full of barrels.
Downstairs, a fourth Druid emerges from the basement and charges into the Fermentation Room, a mote of flame in its hand. It hurls the ball of fire at Thorn, but in its haste, it misjudges the trajectory and hits one of the Needle Blights instead!

Exhaling to absorb the pain from the needle blight's spiny projectiles, Soren keeps his connection to Silvanus, allowing Thorn to persist. He stares in revulsion at the strangely soft "vampire's staff" in his hand. They want me to take it to their vile ritual. I wonder what happens if it is destroyed...
He shouts first in Elvish, which he hopes only his companions understand. "They plan a terrible dark ritual tonight to summon some horror. I will play along in an attempt to gain information, but fear not. I seek only the destruction of these corrupted druids and their disgusting creations."
Then, in Common, he addresses the two dark druids in the room. "I have the 'vampire's staff' now. You wish it present at the ritual? Where shall I take it?"
Nettle: 1/1hp plus 3 Temp The little owl flies in the face of the upstairs needle blight, taking the help action, flying back to Soren's shoulder using Flyby.
Movement: Soren moves SW-->W-->W-->W (attack)-->W along the balcony to set up the best angle, while still in 30' range for his Thorn Whip.
Bonus Action: (Soren has Bramble move, near the ceiling, along the northern wall closest to where he has heard Zefla and Giles to grant STR advantage).
Action: Wiping off the dead druid's blood and sheathing his bloody dagger, Soren lashes out with a green, vibrant thorny vine which appears in his hand, aiming to pull the upstairs needle blight diagonally SW off the balcony and back down onto the floor of the fermentation room. SorenThorn Whip (30' melee spell attack) to hit needle blight (at advantage due to help): 22 SorenThorn Whip damage: 2 magical piercing Forced Movement: needle blight pulled (no saving throw) up to 10' towards Soren, who tries to position them so they fall on the druid and other blight. Possible falling damage (1d6?): 3 bludgeoning
Thorn: 4/30hp, down from 11/30hp The spirit wolf is nearly dead. He gazes soulfully in Burr's direction as wild animals sometimes do, honoring his hunt brother. Then he turns to bury his toothy maw into the needle blight which remains in front of him, rag-dolling his spiny prey in a spray of his own wolfish blood. Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight (rolled with advantage in case of Pack Tactics, but again, first roll was higher, so with or without advantage): 24 Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight in front of him: 11 piercing If this slays the needle blight, Thorn advances 5' into melee with the druid (and/or fallen needle blight) growling, knowing it is likely his own death.
Giles stands there amazed that Zefla stops fleeing the Vine Blight, but turns around and attacks! She seems very capable of freeing herself from their grasping vines, so he stops his descent on the stairs, and in fact takes one step back up. He directs the spiritual axe to attack again and he is tired of the luck that he’s having with his spell, so he pulls out his crossbow and shoots a bolt at the leading vine blight, the one behind the first if the leading one went down. After both are down and Zefla’s in the clear, Giles will descend the steps, having the spiritual great axe follow him.
Spiritual weapon (round 3/10) attack on vine blight : 19 to hit, for 7 points of force damage.
Crossbow attack on vine blight : 8 to hit, for 6 points of piercing damage.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Zeflaturns again and charges the Vine Blights. She cuts down the nearest creature, which disintegrates into a pile of dead vines. The she slashes the further creature with her dagger.
Sorenshouts his question at the druids. The one below is focused on Burrand Thorn, while the one on the balcony merely hisses. His Thorn Whip spell rips the Needle Blight off of the balcony. It falls down directly on top of the lower Needle Blight, knocking them both prone and doing minimal damage. Thorn then leans in and tears one of them apart. The wolf can't move next to the druid as there is now another prone Needle Blight in that space.
The Skeletal Bear aura is available for all but Thorn.
The upstairs Vine Blight whips out its tentacles in an effort to grasp Zefla, but the nimble scout easily evades them. [attack misses]
In the Fermentation Room, the upstairs Druid looks down on the carnage below, and taps her staff on the catwalk, growling something under her breath. From the bodies of the Twig Blights below, vines and thorny branches emerge, making the floor difficult terrain and attempting to ensnare Thornand Burr.
[Druid casts entangle. A creature in the area when you the spell is cast must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or be restrained by the entangling plants until the spell ends. A creature restrained by the plants can use its action to make a Strength check against DC 12. On a success, it frees itself.]
Then the druid motions delicately for Soren to follow her, and she steps back out the door into the hall, leaving the door open just a crack.
Burrattacks the nearest Needle Blight. He hammers the creature and it nearly collapses, but the pile of needles somehow keeps going, barely holding itself together. [The above presumes Burr's post #1171 plays out as written and he passed his STR save for Entangle. He will still need to make that save and, if he fails and is restrained, he can either change his action to try to escape, or reroll that attack once more for disadvantage.]
Gilesbegins to get the hang of manipulating his spiritual weapon, cutting at the creature Zeflais flighting. He misses with his crossbow bolt, trying to thread the needle and hit the creature without hitting Zefla.
Downstairs the last Druid tries another tiny fireball at Thornbut misses again. [Rolled once assuming Thorn made its save, then rolled again in case Thorn failed and both missed.] Then the druid circles around the fermentation barrel to get on the other side of the blight nearest Burr.
Round 8!
The ravens in the Fermentation Room seem to be spent, their numbers dwindled and their ability to attack further is compromised.
The two remaining Needle Blights continue their attacks.
One rises from where it fell off the balcony and attacks Thorn. The other stands fast and attacks Burr. [All attacks miss, even if Thorn/Burr are restrained.]

Thorn STR Save against Entangle: 12 on the nose (success) (Rolled using Soren'sNature check on character sheet/campaign log since it has a +1 just like Thorn's STR Save).
Soren first steps east so he is immediately above the injured needle blight engaged with Burr. He uncoils the thorny vine from his wrist to lash at the corrupted creature, pulling it 10' upwards towards him, and then letting it fall prone back on the floor of the fermentation room.

Soren's voice, though musing in tone, projects loudly. "Or... shall I simply destroy the vampire's staff?"
Nettle: 1/1hp plus 3 Temp. The owl flies down to flap her wings at the needle blight engaged with Thorn, then back to Soren's shoulder using Flyby.
Thorn: 4/30hp. Somehow still alive, the spirit wolf barely escapes the entangling branches which sprout from the fermentation room floor, leaving his bloody matted fur as residue on the vines. In a final attack, he launches himself, jaws first, at the injured needle blight in front of him.
Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight (advantage due to help from Nettle): 21 Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight: 11 piercing (again!)
If this slays the needle blight, the spirit wolf limps E-->SE-->S-->SW to put himself in melee east of the druid. (First two moves require 10' each due to difficult terrain and diagonal movement respectively). Thorn lifts his muzzle upward and howls mournfully in the druid's face.
Zeflacontinues to press the attack against the animated pile of vines, hacking and slashing with her shortsword and dagger. The creature looks badly wounded.
SorenThorn Whips another Needle Blight. Before he can drop it back onto the ground, the creature disintegrates into a shower of dry pine needles. [All the Needle Blights are dead.] Thorndoes in the other remaining Needle Blight and then advances to cut off the downstairs druid's escape.
Upstairs, the Druid from the Printing Press room steps around the corner, checking the condition of her Vine Blights. Whether concerned or not at their imminent destruction, she flicks a mote of fire past the remaining Blight at Zefla.
Attack: 22 Damage: 3Fire
Then she ducks back around the corner, heading past the doorway back onto the catwalk.

Thorn: 14/30hp (down from 29/30hp)
The spirit wolf yelps, finally sensing the pain as the blights' most recent attacks land, particularly from the newcomers. Breaking away from the last twig blight (taking an opportunity attack), he lopes north and east along the north wall to the nearest needle blight there, sinking his jaws into it savagely.
(Rolled with advantage for Pack Tactics in case Burr is going to be adjacent, but first roll was the higher one anyway)
Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight: 18
Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight: 11 piercing
(If this slays the enemy, and if he has movement left, the summoned wolf continues onward to enter melee with the next northern needle blight).

Zefla wriggles out of the vines almost effortlessly. The witless vine creature looks at its empty tangles with what must be confusion as the halfling scout backpedals down the hallway and away from it.
Soren tests the old druid's metal with a bluff about the staff and this ominous ritual he speaks of. The druid glances down at his staff of spongey dark wood. "Do you like it?" he asks, a grin spreading across his bloody red mouth.
As Soren plunges his dagger into the fallen one's chest, the grin freezes... and then he pulls Soren close.
Then the old man's fingers release Soren and the body slumps backward, tipping over the railing and falling, striking hard off the side of the easternmost fermentation barrel and striking the stone floor of the chamber with a hard, wet thunk. Someone, the ugly dark staff has found its way into Soren's spare hand.
Insight: The man was insane. To the extent that Soren thinks he can draw any conclusions from the man's reaction, the old druid did not seem the least concerned about Soren's threat. Indeed, he seemed to hope you would take the staff back to where ever this ritual was happening.
Thorn pulls away from the Twig Blights and advances on the Needle Blights.
Thorn engages and bites the nearest Needle Blight. He bites hard, but at first it seems not enough, and these new monsters appear tougher than the multitude of smaller Twig Blights. But with a few more good ragdoll shakes, the Needle Blight collapses into a pile of loose pine needles. Thorn spits as many of the irritating bits out of its mouth, then advances on the other northern Needle Blight, closing to melee range.
Giles is beyond the reach of this effect.
Zefla and Giles hear another door open and close...
... and back in the Fermentation Room, Soren and Burr hear the door at the east end of the catwalk open, as another druid enters the room. She pauses just inside the door. A veil of moss conceals her face, but she seems to be taking quick stock of the carnage, the two other dead druids and the piles upon piles of dead Twig Blights.
As if on queue, Burr strides forward with his maul and demolishes the last surviving Twig Blight with a thunderous smash.

This turn :
Movement, most of the way down the stairs, but stopping at the point to maintain eye contact on the axe.
Action : Repeat casting of toll the dead on the leading vine blight : 4 points of necrotic damage if it fails a DC 13 wisdom save.
Bonus action : Direct the spiritual weapon to attack (8 to hit, for 7 points of force damage) and move 20 feet further down the hall.

Burr broke north east as the creature fell closing into melee with the two pine-needle-things. He whipped the maul out across his shoulders and span it around trying to crush one against the wall.
vs Needles #1 Attack: 25 Damage: 23
Giles spells seem to have left the leading Vine Blight on the edge of death, its coils sagging and trailing on the floor, but his spiritual axe is unable to deliver a final chop.
Spell Attack: 5 Damage: 1 Fire
The Needle Blight rustles with anger but maintains its attention on Thorn.
Round 7!
The ravens in the Fermentation Room dive down to attack the Needle Blights, but they are repelled, with several more ravens fallen to the sharp, prickly needles.
The Needle Blights on the ground floor engage in melee attacks against Burr and Thorn. The attack on Burr misses, but the pine needles pierce Thorn once again.
Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Upstairs, a Needle Blight follows Soren out onto the catwalk, flinging needles at him in a ranged attack.

Nettle: 1/1hp plus 3 Temp
The little owl flies in the face of the upstairs needle blight, taking the help action, flying back to Soren's shoulder using Flyby.
Soren Thorn Whip (30' melee spell attack) to hit needle blight (at advantage due to help): 22
Soren Thorn Whip damage: 2 magical piercing
Forced Movement: needle blight pulled (no saving throw) up to 10' towards Soren, who tries to position them so they fall on the druid and other blight.
Possible falling damage (1d6?): 3 bludgeoning
Thorn: 4/30hp, down from 11/30hp
The spirit wolf is nearly dead. He gazes soulfully in Burr's direction as wild animals sometimes do, honoring his hunt brother. Then he turns to bury his toothy maw into the needle blight which remains in front of him, rag-dolling his spiny prey in a spray of his own wolfish blood.
Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight (rolled with advantage in case of Pack Tactics, but again, first roll was higher, so with or without advantage): 24
Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight in front of him: 11 piercing
If this slays the needle blight, Thorn advances 5' into melee with the druid (and/or fallen needle blight) growling, knowing it is likely his own death.

(Going ahead and posting for Giles.)’
Zefla turns again and charges the Vine Blights. She cuts down the nearest creature, which disintegrates into a pile of dead vines. The she slashes the further creature with her dagger.
Soren shouts his question at the druids. The one below is focused on Burr and Thorn, while the one on the balcony merely hisses.
From the bodies of the Twig Blights below, vines and thorny branches emerge, making the floor difficult terrain and attempting to ensnare Thorn and Burr.
Burr attacks the nearest Needle Blight.
Giles begins to get the hang of manipulating his spiritual weapon, cutting at the creature Zefla is flighting. He misses with his crossbow bolt, trying to thread the needle and hit the creature without hitting Zefla.
Downstairs the last Druid tries another tiny fireball at Thorn but misses again.

Burr Strength Saving Throw for Entangle- 24
Happy that the first of the vine thingys are down, Zefla continues her enslaught against the next one.
Attack: 21, Damage: 9
Crit! 26, Damage: 4
Sneak attack add due to spirit weapon by target: 4
Thorn STR Save against Entangle: 12 on the nose (success)
(Rolled using Soren's Nature check on character sheet/campaign log since it has a +1 just like Thorn's STR Save).
Soren first steps east so he is immediately above the injured needle blight engaged with Burr. He uncoils the thorny vine from his wrist to lash at the corrupted creature, pulling it 10' upwards towards him, and then letting it fall prone back on the floor of the fermentation room.
Action: (after 10' movement east) Thorn Whip downward at injured needle blight engaged with Burr from balcony. Melee spell attack with 30' range.
Thorn Whip to hit: 18
Thorn Whip damage: 4 magical piercing
Thorn Whip Forced Movement: 10' upwards towards Soren and then falling back to the floor.
Falling Damage (if applicable), 10' so 1d6: 2 bludgeoning and landing prone
Remaining Movement: 20' west along balcony (10' west of original position), as if eagerly following the beckoning western druid (though he is not really).
Bonus Action: Again, moving Bramble the incorporeal/skeletal Bear west along the north wall closest to where he hears Zefla and Giles fighting.
Thorn maul/bite to hit needle blight (advantage due to help from Nettle): 21
Thorn maul/bite damage on needle blight: 11 piercing (again!)

Zefla continues to press the attack against the animated pile of vines, hacking and slashing with her shortsword and dagger. The creature looks badly wounded.
Soren Thorn Whips another Needle Blight. Before he can drop it back onto the ground, the creature disintegrates into a shower of dry pine needles. [All the Needle Blights are dead.] Thorn does in the other remaining Needle Blight and then advances to cut off the downstairs druid's escape.
Upstairs, the Druid from the Printing Press room steps around the corner, checking the condition of her Vine Blights. Whether concerned or not at their imminent destruction, she flicks a mote of fire past the remaining Blight at Zefla.
Attack: 22 Damage: 3 Fire
Then she ducks back around the corner, heading past the doorway back onto the catwalk.
The Vine Blight once again tries to constrict Zefla in its tendrils, and once again she ducks away easily [attack misses again].
