"After docking we should help Zydus placing Matiland to safety. The next thing is to find somebody who can decipher that" - Riw points to the scroll in Leela's hand - "And then, find someone who can guide us."
Leela nods, seemingly brought out of her downcast funk by the prospect of imminent tasks, and busies herself making sure her belongings are stowed safely in her backpack.
"Agreed. Although we need to be careful who we show the scroll to....just in case"
She watches the crew busying themselves as they get ready to dock "I can't believe I'm saying this, but it will be good to be on land. I'm not a fan of these air ships. I prefer my ships floating on the water!"
It's easily done. The airship docks with little fanfare and the passengers are disembarked first followed by cargo. Maitland is on a stretcher coming off the ship carried by some of Jenna and Selinae's former crew mates who pass over the duties to the party and return to the ship.
"Leela our documents are in your safe keeping. We will lass through a checkpoint before entering the city beyond. Although not whole possible we do seek a cure for Maitland which the documents clearly state. This will be the reason we have come to Anjara but more precisely the legendary healing powers of the Aten here in Me'at Halwa, " Zydus explains trying to seem confident but anyone can see his concern for his now unconscious friend are paramount! "We trust you to lead," the monk then says to Leela which she can assume he's speaking for himself and Maitland.
Descending the skyport dock to the ground below after gathering their belongings the party can see a steady line of passengers of the various docked airships of three skyport towers being interviewed before passing into the city. The heat isn't oppressive here in the city proper but the sun is setting and a cool breeze brings the scents of jasmine, a spice that's tart and unique, as well as the sounds of the bustling Market Ward that sprawls around the skyport divided by a short wall which the party cannot see beyond. Only the sounds and smells of Me'at Halwa has greeted them.
Arriving at the gates were two robes figures falcon headed aarakocras stand looking very official indeed.
"Welcome," the Golden feathered falcon says to the party. The falcon is stood at a levitating podium. "What is your business in the City of Aten," the winged official asks taking in the party as her silent partner, a silvery falcon, inspects the party including the prone Maitland carrion the stretcher.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Leela bows ceremoniously at the officials. "We thank you for your welcome." Leela sniffs at the air and sighs in pleasure. "It has been a long journey and we are glad to have reached its conclusion."
She presents the group's documents.
"As you can see from our documents, we are travelling to this land to seek treatment for our friend and associate, Professor Maitland. We have heard of this city's fame as a centre of healing, and we, the professor's attendants, seek a cure for their malady." She indicates the stretchered form of Maitland.
"But do not be alarmed, kind gentlefolk. The sickness our associate suffers from is not one that may be transmitted between creatures, not one that may place your city or its inhabitants in danger of infection. It is an affliction contained to the one body, but one that has confounded magical and physical healers alike in our lands. We hope that the great healers of Aten will be able to prevail where ours have not."
The golden falcon doesn't seem particularly concerned with the party. They take the papers looks them over and then defers to her partner.
OOC I'd like everyone to post their PCs surface thoughts as detect thoughts is being cast by the silvery falcon.
This majestic bird man stands nearly 7ft tall. He wears crisp white robes with an emblem a gold sun shining in a field of orange. The party knows this is the seal of the city of royal family.

The silvery falcon stops at Riw and looks curiously at the dragonborn. The dragonborn's unsure if it's his appearance or something else. The golden falcon ushers the party through the checkpoint after the party is 'read' by the silvery falcon diviner, a divination wizard, moving on from the party. Surprisingly no one in a official capacity here at the checkpoint seems to be brandishing weapons of any kind but they are very obviously magical!
"May Aten's light purify them," the golden falcon motioning to Maitland's lifeless body with it's shallow breathes as Adruus nods.
The party then quickly moves through the checkpoint to the exit. It's alive with bipedal beasts! Aarakocras, minotaurs, tabaxis, giffs, and lizardfolk that look like crocdiles. There are very few humans, dwarves, elves, or wee folk! Outside the skyport looks like a large market! Serveal peddlers push hard carts full if their wares, stalls teaming with objects, and the various smells of spices as well as cooking foods fill the evening air.
"A cart yes," Adruus the says to the party. "Someone procure it," he says to the party gesturing out at the market place!

Leela bows again at the officials and murmurs her thanks on behalf of the group, before moving off.
As she steps out of the skyport building, Leela stops dead and stands blocking the doorway, openmouthed. She stares almost hungrily at the other minotaurs in the crowd. She hasn't seen this many of her kind since she was younger and her parents were alive. There were one or two who occasionally visited her temple, but she has never seen a group of more than four minotaurs together, let alone the dozens she can see threading through the marketplace.
She doesn't seem to hear Ardus' instruction as she stands agape.
"So many curious beasts there but they still stuck on a purple dragonborn"- Riw laughs then turns to Adruus - "I will bring a cart, just wait here!"- and he walks up to the marketplace to find a stall which sells things like that.

"That would be very kind but I don't think very proper, " Adruus nods to Selinae's offer. "Riwakan is trying to locate one," the monk adds gesturing to where the fighter has strode off into the market ahead. "Maybe give him aid," Zydus suggests to Selinae. "Leela and Jenna what do you think the best course of action would be to spirit us to the Barakah-Set family villa undetected? It's through the Skyport and Martket Wards then the Temple Ward where you see the pyramids just there," the monk points at the pyramids in the distance horizon of the market and city beyond! "Those green tower are the towers of the Verdant Palace which I know from Maitland themselves is the home of the Barakah-Set family, " he explains. "I...have never traveled their myself but the city to me seems full of eyes," the monk adds shuttering slightly and pulling his gray and blue robes of Ioun closer around him.
At the market Riw give me an investigation check, aided, if Selinae chooses to help!

Leela shakes her head as to clear it, and focuses again on her party. She looks worriedly at the stretcher holding the professor and wonders whether to cast Spare the Dying to try to stabilise them, even if she dare not try to heal them, lest there be ill effects.
Leela boggles a little at Zydus' question. "We must get there as quickly as possible! I do not know how we can get there undetected... I am little use when it comes to stealth."
