(if 16 is enough) Mary says "I'll call you Rin and you" she says looking at the other one "Stimpy". After which she'll untie the ropes and gives them some more jerkies. Mary will then join the party.
Mary manages to get close enough and the wolves don't immediately bite at her. They seem to note that she is the hand that is feeding them. After they are busy with the bits of meat they have been provided with, she manages to loosen the chains around their necks to let them out of the restraints. After scoffing down the remainder of the meat, they notice they have been freed, and rush out of the cave.
In the meantime, the group has brought the cart around and it is ready to burden with the extra crates of ore, the weaponry of the goblins, and the chest of Klarg's treasure. Once the cart is fully loaded, the group returns back towards the trail, ensuring to keep away from the pit traps they found on their way in.
NOTE: Everyone receives 275 xp, meaning that you level up to level 2! Congratulations! If you want to discuss things you need to do on a level up, we'll keep it on the PMs, rather than the thread.
Randaler scouts out ahead of the wagon and group. He carefully directs them around the pit trap, and back on the main road and past the dead and stinking horses. Randaler hurries out in front and begins his scurrying from side to side occasionally heading off into the underbrush and popping back out further along the road.
The group continues to follow the path back to the main trade route. Sildar follows alongside the group, seemingly recovered most of his fatigue thanks to the time resting overnight. He speaks to the party as they continue down towards Phandalin.
"It seems Gundren's gotten himself into something deep. He and his brothers found a map a while ago. I've not seen this map, but he told me it leads to a place called the Wave Echo Cave. It seems whoever is in charge of those goblins knew Gundren had this map, they specifically captured us alive. It is Tymora's luck that you were coming behind us on the trail to find us, my friends. If you are willing, I would be able to pay you fifty gold once we reach Phandalin as thanks for your escort and rescue. I do not have the money on me, but can gain the money once we are securely at our destination."
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins — crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars — surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by. Sildar seems much more at ease. “My friends,” he says, “let us secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”

"Or you know, I could perform for your guests this evening and perhaps that could cover the costs tonight?" Mary says as she walks up to the Bartender with a wink and begins tuning her lyre.

If we pass by some ruins on the way into town Realgâr, out of curiosity, would like to briefly inspect the stone ruins to see if he can gather information about the type of rock, ruins age, and possibly who built them and why—using his stone cunning.
History 12
Investigation 6
Realgâr sees a few of the group run off leaving the cart with their loot and not acknowledging Sildar, he says to Sildar (staying outside with him and the rest) "I suppose it must not be their first glimpse of this town. Forgive them, they are a young and impulsive lot. Not that that's bad or anythin'. As for paying us, if that is your desire then I'm sure no one will object. Personally, I'm just happy we made it out alive. Anyway, the Wave Echo Cave? Do you know anythin' about it? Why would Gundren and his brother's risk death for all this?"
Realgâr mulls over the Wave Echo Cave to see if he's familiar with it being mentioned amongst his dwarf brethren.

Randaler watches as Chad and Mary enter the Inn, and listens as Realgar talks with Sildar. "Let's get the wagon and supplies to its destination, and see if we can sell off the stuff from the cave." he says to them when there is a break in the conversation. He then looks around at the town watching the comings and goings of the people. Not having been to many bustling towns in his life, Randaler is fascinated by all of the activity. He is particularly interested in the shops in town.
You haven't heard of the Wave Echo Cave before, but based on what Sildar has said on the matter, it must be somewhere important to Gundren Rockseeker and his kin. Especially if this black spider had ordered him and his map to be kidnapped.
The ruins around the area show eons of decay. It appears that Phandelin may have been quite a large settlement a few hundred years ago, but it is uncertain what has caused the populace to dwindle to this more village state.
Headed into Phandelin, a large building is seen almost immediately upon entering the town's centre. It has a wooden sign in the moniker of a backpack, with the words, "Barthen's Provisions" engraved underneath it.
"Aye," Sildar says. "I believe that is where your destination is for your cargo, friends. I don't believe those other boxes you found are meant for there, though. Perhaps someone around town might know more, but for me I think getting a bed, rather than a rocky floor that smells of dead goblin, is in order. At the next turning should be the inn I've heard of, I'll meet you there. I'll see if I can scrape my reward together for you." Sildar takes off with his pack and heads down the road.
Mary hears this and excuses herself from the lodging to follow Sildar. "Lead the way then good sir, I shall but sing a tune. if you don't mind."
The grass of the woodlands stand still at dawn Those who seek the way arrive Life seems to be missing, no squirrels, no fawn How will these poor souls survive
The sun rises and its light is shone The mothers and fathers grieve The words on the stone are faded and gone Giving them no sense of relief
Where oh where and why oh why Must I be still here Why must it be that we are alive
When our seed lie 6feet near Why should fathers live when their sons are dead Why should they suffer so Life's cruelties are oft full of dread So onward and forward we go

"Very well, we shall meet you there in a bit, sir. We can discuss this matter with Gundren in detail over a meal... and plenty of ale! I will inquire about sellin' our goods in this shop, if anyone cares to tag along. I think gettin' a few extra coins out of these items for all of us nearly dyin' multiple times is acceptable."
OOC: Just to avoid metagaming, the above quote is only heard by anyone who has remained with the group.
Realgâr dusts himself off, fluffs out his beard, makes sure the coins are properly showing within its braids, and in general makes himself look more presentable, then goes inside Barthen's Provisions. Once inside, he will introduce himself to the shopkeeper, prepared to haggle for a better price if necessary...
(When inside)
"Good day to ye! My name is Realgâr and my group came into possession of some items that may be of interest to you. Some weapons, ore, and a few other bits. Would you care to take a look? Our cart is right outside. If you are not interested in them, would you happen to know who might? We are strangers in this town."
DM:
(Just to speed up the responses)
If the shopkeeper is interested in purchasing anything of ours, then Realgâr would try and haggle to get a slightly better price while still keeping the transaction fair. He's not intending to rip anyone off.
He would say something along the lines of:
"These are fine items and shall sell quickly, worthy of a few extra coins wouldn't you say?"
Randaler accompanies Realgar into Barthens and looks around as the negotiations are taking place. "We'll need to make sure to restock our provisions, we used up a bit on the way here." He says to Realgar. "Then let's go get some ale with the others when we're done here. Being nearly killed...twice... Has given me quite a thirst!" He continues looking around the store.
Randaler is specifically looking for rations to replace what they ate and fed to the wolves. Also, either some healing potions and/or ingredients to make them using his healers kit.
So to make things easier, I'll post one segment for those headed to the tavern, and one for those headed to the supply store.
Stonehill Inn:
In the center of town stands a large, newly built roadhouse of fieldstone and rough-hewn timbers. The common room is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider, all of them eyeing you with curiosity. Following Sildar in he appears to be speaking to the barkeep, a short human man with short brown hair. He seems to be speaking to Sildar with friendly manners while the others approach the bar.
"And here's your key, Sildar. You're last room on the right." He says, passing Sildar the large iron key. He then looks to the others. "Ah, these must be your travelling companions. Welcome to Stonehill Inn. The name's Toblen, pleased to meet you."
Barthen's Provisions:
Near the entrance to the town is a large trading post. Upon entering there are large shelves stocked with various gear and travelling kit that one may want. The proprietor appears to be a human man in his later years, perhaps about fifty, and balding grey hair. He looks the group up and down. "Hmm, travellers I see. Well, welcome to Barthen's Provisions. Are you looking for anything in particular?"
(Cue Randaler's chatter above)
"Weapons? Don't think that's my area of trade." The elder man replies. "Though if you've got smithing ore, perhaps you should head further into town. Arms and armour in this town are dealt with by Lionshield Coster, just a little further in town." He gestures towards the road. "I'm waiting on a shipment myself actually, should be here hopefully before day's end."
To Mary:

I'll save your bartering check for if you want to pawn off the goblin weapons/ore later
Oh, and just for reference, here's a town map of Phandelin. Barthen's Provisions is the red roofed building near the top-centre of the map. Stonehill Inn is the large blue roofed building near the central town square.
(OOC: ok Realgâr will use his bartering check of 23 later.)
"A shipment from Lionshield Coster? Well, I thank you. We will inquire with them later. Randaler, once you're done stocking up here, we should probably check in at the inn with the others. I don't want us wanderin' off in an unknown town without sayin' anythin'. It seems safe, but can't be too careful.'
Realgâr waits for Randaler, then if he agrees, we will head to the inn to meet with everyone else before checking out the Lionshield Coster a little later.
