Oreus hears Laladak and Shadow talking but can't see them. Then he see Shadow enter the tunnel in the eastern wall and hurries to catch up. As you cross over the the eastern part of the room you see the battered corpse of a machine and the rest of the party disappearing down the tunnel.
Shadow enters the tunnel which leads south for 40 feet at which point the is a branching tunnel leading west.
The following is what you see from this intersection. The westward tunnel goes 10 feet and then turns south again. The tunnel you in continues south to another western branch 40 feet from the first intersection. Bright light seems to be coming from that westward tunnel. You can barely see that this southern tunnel opens into a room 30 feet past the second intersection.
(Also, glad you are alive. I did not know they had earthquakes in Alaska)
There were no fatalities, Thank God. Yes Alaska is home to earthquakes. The 1964 Alaskan earthquake was the world's 2nd largest earthquake 9.2. This one was a 7.0 and between 7 and 9 miles outside of Anchorage. A 7.0 magnitude quake is not unusual for Alaska, but it's a huge state with relatively few population centers. All in all we were very lucky.
(Yah, we have earthquakes in alaska all the time, most are just smaller and a lot further away from population centers. The 7.0 this time was worse because it WAS so close to anchorage. And there's been probably hundreds of aftershocks at this point, though most are too small to feel. Not all of them. Last night we had a couple over 5.0, quite a few over 3.0. Lots of infrastructure damage from the initial quake, but like Flyingmatthew said, no fatalities, or even major injuries I've heard of. But imagine being the driver of this car)
Tyris looks up and down the tunnel, then shrugs. "Which way do you think we should try first?"
Shadow goes down the first branching tunnel going east. It goes west 10 feet and then south 10 feet and then makes another turn to the west. The tunnel continues west as far as Shadow's darkvision allows him to see.

Shadow leads the party through the tunnel 90 feet where it opens into the room, you see...
A dozen small cots and chests line the walls of this ten-foot-high dusty room. Cobwebs blanket many of the cots and chests, and tiny spiders scurry about. A second rough-hewn tunnel, feet in diameter and tubular, breaches out of the southern wall. Stony rubble covers the floor near each tunnel. There is an "A" door propped open with a rock to the north of the room. A one-foot-long iron rod lies in the middle of the floor, along with bits of rope. Shadow and Alben recognize this room as the room they were held captive in.
I don’t know but let’s go after that skulk now.
Shadow takes part onward to the east where the skulk disappeared

About 3 hours. Not enough time for a long rest, but you can take an hour for a short rest.
Laladak could use a short rest.
I got alot a doods
Having chased the creature and lost him for now we will take a short rest to regroup and make a plan.
“ guy what say we go back to the room with the glass on the floor and search around? Or do you want to keep following the tunnels farther south?”
spending 1 hit die during rest to recover 6
