Tyris shakes his head in response to the shopkeeper's question. "We have not found the children yet, though I think we're making progress at doing so. Unfortunately, it's turned out to be a rather large complex to explore. And plenty of foes trying to stop us."
Alben walks up to the counter and smiles at Skie. "We are still working on finding the children, but we have gotten closer. Let me get you caught up, I believe the last thing I touched on was the grell attack." Alben sweeps his hands and conjures several small illusions using prestidigitation to show the story as he describes, making the party look more heroic than what actually happened. "From the room with the grell, we found a small room full of gears and levers, possibly a control room for the gnomish stronghold." The illusion shows massive quantities of gears, clockwork, pullies and the like. "We found that it disabled traps in the area, very helpful. "We moved on from there to find a forge room, with mostly broken and useless tools and such. As we have gone through this fortress, we found several doors with gnomish letters inscribed on them, through trial and error, we found that there are keys to these doors which must be used, or the doors trigger traps." Alben shows one of the doors with trap, and the key opening the door. "We moved on through trapped areas, with our clever party leader taking us through the majority of them. We soon encountered a skulk that saw us and ran away, we chased, only to run face to face with a big mechanical monstrosity called a pulverizer, if created an illusion around it to make the fight difficult. "The illusion changes to depict the monster and fight. "After the fight we chased the skulk down the tunnel he ran into, but lost him. Through backtracking, we found n amazing room with illusionary brambles and greenery, though harmless. We soon found a kitchen, where we were ambushed by the skulk we were chasing as well as a dark creeper." The illusion shifts to show the creatures ambushing the party from the shadows, and the following fight. "The fight did not go well... we were saved by two half-elves, which were sent to help us, they are from a secret order, so i can not tell you their names, I apologize for that, but allowances must be made." The illusory battle showed the half-elves with blurred out faces. "Their quest is similar to ours, and so they have joined us for the time being. We did find out that this fortress and the one beneath it were constructed to defend Cauldron from the underdark, but had been abandoned."
Alben takes a deep breath, "That was a real close one, but not the last i am afraid. After a short rest we moved on, and found a bathing chamber, full of spider webs and a form suspended form them." The illusion shifts to show the room and webbed figure. A couple of small spiders, well relatively small, and a larger one ambushed us. Creatures of the dark are very inconsiderate like that. These spiders did not play around, and left us in pretty bad shape by the end of the fight, but it did go better than the previous one, their poison was paralytic, causing problems for the ones bitten. As we were pretty well beat up, we decided to retreat for a time and get some healing, which was the first time I was here telling this story, we were in a bit of a rush to get back and save the children. We did find a few very interesting items and gems after a few of those fights though..."
"After some time recovering, restocking, and getting new armor made, we headed back. One of the things we were looking for was a rat familiar for master keygan, which we found relatively soon after going back down. The problem arose when we retrieved him." The illusion shifts to show the battle with the mimic chest. "bit of an easy fight, just took us by surprise... again..." Alben sighs. "Well we returned the familiar to Keygan, and returned to the fortress, and decided to do some backtracking to search the area for anything we may have missed, found a strange room, and proceeded very cautiously, but still got ambushed, this time by giant centipedes." The illusion reflects the fight with the centipedes. " we did find a rather interesting room with several levers and traps, which we checked out thoroughly before moving on, because we have had so much luck with traps in the past." Alben smiles at Skie, while the illusion shows the room with far more levers and traps than were actually in the room. "Further along, we discovered another pulverizer, but we had the jump on it, so it went down pretty quickly." The illusion shows the pulverizer sitting there as the entire party lunges at it from all directions. "We did find an odd blue gem that we have yet to identify at the heart of the machine."
"We continued the search of the fortress using a map provided, and found ourselves in a room with the ruble and a half built pulverizer, moving forward we were confronted by a skulk covered in strange writhing rags." The illusion shows the most dramatic appearance of the monster possible. "It almost immediately ran off, leaving us to chase it down, I admit there were a few... antics at this point." The illusion shows in detail, Alben and Laladek dropping their packs, Alben jumping on his back, and Laladek sprinting off after the monster, with Alben shooting searing rays out ahead of them both. "That part was fun." Alben smiles at Skie again. "At least it would have been, fleeting fancy of mine, i do apologize for the dramatics." The illusion shifts back to the chase as it actually happened. "We cornered it in some sort of alchemy lab, where it was slain, but the rags sprang up and grabbed me, I managed to break free, and the evil animated cloth was slain." Dramatic death scene for a piece of cloth insures.
"We continued on, and found a room with strange dancing lights, and found a couple more skulks, which put up a bit of a fight, but not horrible." Illusion reflects the fight scene. "After a short rest and some healing, we proceeded to a room with a stage, where nothing was easily apparent. After looking around some however, we found a chest, this mandolin, and a trap door in the stage." Alben shows off the mandolin. "We investigated the trap door, only to be ambushed by a strange tentacled creature, it grabbed shadow and slammed the trap door. Those of us above pried the door open and attempted to join the fray. In the end the beast was slain, but it took its tole on the party." The illusion shows several of us being strangled and grappled under the stage.
"Moving on, we proceeded back to scouting and searching for areas of the fortress we had missed. We came across a small room with a couple of skulks almost sleeping, we finally managed to get the jump on them!" The illusion keeps up with the story. "The fight was decisive." The illusion shows us completely destroying them without any of us taking wounds (not how it actually happened). "Moving on from there, we encountered a single skulk in a small opening above us, we rushed up the ladder as best as possible to do battle with the foe, in the end, he surrendered, and we had our first captive. We had intended to return with him to get more information from him but..." The illusion shows him surrendering, us tying him up, and him leading us to the secret door, with the wooden elevator, and the hobgoblins. "Of course it was a trap. After slaying the hobgoblins, we decided to backtrack through the entire dungeon, as we had been through most of it at this point, using detect magic to find more loot. We ended up in what appeared to be a glass blowing shop, a place where we had never been to yet. Battle broke out again, this time with a dark creeper, and a stalker." The illusion reflects a heated battle. "Our captive tried to escape, and unfortunately died in the fight. Our party barely managed to pull out of this one, and luckily we managed to capture the stalker as a new captive. Turns out he was one of the leaders of the place, and has given us some info, once we got him back to the surface.
"After a good nights rest, we set about getting prepared to go back down, this time to take the wooden elevator down and find those children. This brings us up to today." Alben takes a deep bow and doffs an imaginary hat.
Skie's face lights up as Alben's illusion starts.
"From the room with the grell, we found a small room full of gears and levers, possibly a control room for the gnomish stronghold." We soon encountered a skulk that saw us and ran away, we chased, only to run face to face with a big mechanical monstrosity called a pulverizer, if created an illusion around it to make the fight difficult.
"Oooo, how interesting."
"The illusion changes to depict the monster and fight. "After the fight we chased the skulk down the tunnel he ran into, but lost him. Through backtracking, we found n amazing room with illusionary brambles and greenery, though harmless.
"Inside?"
We soon found a kitchen, where we were ambushed by the skulk we were chasing as well as a dark creeper." The illusion shifts to show the creatures ambushing the party from the shadows, and the following fight. Here her face has a knowing look

"I hate spiders! When I was an adventurer, we had to pilfer a gem from a Arachnid temple. I still have nightmares about it.
"After some time recovering, restocking, and getting new armor made, we headed back. One of the things we were looking for was a rat familiar for master keygan, which we found relatively soon after going back down. The problem arose when we retrieved him." The illusion shifts to show the battle with the mimic chest.
"Ah, the classic Mimic "
"bit of an easy fight, just took us by surprise... again..." Alben sighs. Here Skie laughs out loud

"Of course, there is always a trap"
After slaying the hobgoblins, we decided to backtrack through the entire dungeon, as we had been through most of it at this point, using detect magic to find more loot. When Alben is finished with his narration and illusion show, Skie becomes business minded and ask Oreus to show her the wand. After several minutes she says "This is a Wand of Secrets, would you like to sell it? These are a popular item and I can't seem to get my hands on enough to supply everyone"
Looking around the shop you see the following items for sale
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a a short rest focused on only that item while being in physical contact with it (this can’t be the same short rest used to learn the item’s properties).)
While you wearing and attuned to this cloak you, you and everything you carry is concealed by both effects of Nystul’s Magic Aura.
Add the feat "Nystul’s Magic Aura (Item Feat)" to your character sheet while you are attuned to the cloak.
Notes: Feat: Choose a Feat, A short rest focused on only that item while being in physical contact with it (this can’t be the same short rest used to learn the item’s properties).
(I also wanted to say I think we found halfling full plate armor not half plate. Its still getting fitted.)
(Wait, nvm. I remember seeing the cost of full plate 1,500 gold...Truly the price of heroism. )
Those prices above are 3.5 prices, which I decided to use for magical items (partly because Shackled City was written for 3.5 and partly because I really don't like how the magical items work in 5e). But you are right armor in 5e is a little more expensive, so I will adjust the price for the armors listed above. Hopefully later tonight/early tomorrow.
Edited: After reviewing the 3.5 and 5e vversions of armor there is no real difference between them price wise. The only thing I see is that 5e doesn't have the Banded Mail. I am currently working on making a Homebrewed Banded Mail so if someone finds/buys one I will have it available.
Sleep Arrow: This +1 arrow is painted white and has white fletching. If it strikes a foe so that it would normally deal damage, it instead bursts into magical energy that deals nonlethal (in the same amount as would be lethal damage) and forces the target to make a DC 11 Wisdom save or fall asleep
This is the 3.5 readout if you buy it I will make a Homebrewed item and probably tweak it a little bit to fit 5e gameplay better. Also I will check to make sure there isn't already something similar forc5e
(You guys going to sel/buy anything while you are here? Does anyone besides Alben what the wand? Laladak what are you doing while they are at the shop? Also no one thanked Denku_Akki for all the time he spent. I think he did a wonderful job narrating your adventures for Skie.)
Ok, who went to Skie's Treasury with Oreus?
Laladak are you going to keep the cloak?
Shadow will go to the shop
Rockcrusher lvl 2 Goliath Barbarian Horde of the Dragon Queen
Taggart lvl 6 Air Genasi Blood Hunter Tomb of Annihilation
Shadow lvl 3 variant feral tiefling rogue Shackled City
Laladak will hand off the cloak to sell.
I got alot a doods
Does anyone else want the cloak before you sell it?
Oreus looks at the cloak with curiosity but in the end he does not mind
(I went with to the shop as well)

While you wearing and attuned to this cloak you, you and everything you carry is concealed by both effects of Nystul’s Magic Aura.
Add the feat "Nystul’s Magic Aura (Item Feat)" to your character sheet while you are attuned to the cloak.
If not someone should offer it for sale
Oreus is not really impressed with this specific item, thus he wants to know
"it depends... How much can I make if I sell it?"
I assume that you are talking about the Wand of Secrets, she will pay 375gp for it. However Shadow (or another party member) might want it.
She will pay 550gp for the cloak.
(I think keeping the wand might be a good idea, this place seems to have several secrets)
(I also wanted to say I think we found halfling full plate armor not half plate. Its still getting fitted.)

(I liked his post!)
(Laladak was training at the Barracks. I was waiting for stuff to happen.)
I got alot a doods
(I figured we could use a refresher anyway.)
Alben is done, he mostly just needed rest.
