Laladak uses his pike to try to open the tilting floor, putting his weight into the effort. It takes a lot of effort, and as the floor starts to tilt he is leaning heavily on the pike. He momentarily looses his balance...
Give me 2 (Dex) acrobatics checks, the 2nd with advantage.
(Why two dex checks? I dont understand why this is so freaking difficult. I rolled above 20 and basically used a 10ft pole. The story for the past month has been a hallway and a guy stuck in a pit can you just make the call and help us move forward?)
(You had to apply 150lb's of pressure before the floor starts to tilt. Using a pike, or a 10' pole to do that, you would need to be leaning heavily on the pole. Causing you to over balance and possibly fall in when it started to tilt.)
Laladak over balances and starts to fall into the pit.
Tyris you can try to catch him. (I think a simple dex dex check to see if you catch him (DC 10), followed by a Str check to see if you hold on to him (DC 15). If you have any better ideas post it.
(No one else but Tyris posts in game until we see if he catches Laladak)
Shadow leads the party to the western gear door and prepares to unlock it. It is a complicated lock and takes him around 10 minutes muttering under his breath the whole time.
While he is working on the lock Oreus sees that the glyph on this door is the same one that he had trouble with on the north end of the hallway. He spends the time going through his memories of the Gnomish letters and finally decides that it is an "E"
Finally Shadow lets out a triumphant noise, and the gear slides sideways into the wall. Leaving a circular window (or door) in the wall.
Are any of you besides Shadow and Oreus going to do anything during the 10 minutes?

(If Laladak starts to fall, I'll try to catch him. If not, and the floor opens far enough, how far down is alben?)
