As Shadow opens the door 3 4 feet long giant Rat appear as if summoned from a different plane. It appears on the other side of the door and charges at Shadow and Oreus.
Alben has a readied action and can try to shoot it, but I am given it Three-quarters Cover (A target with three-quarters cover has a +5 bonus to AC and Dexterity saving throws.)
The first map is your positions the 2nd is both rooms.
NOTE: Since I have polearm master, can I use reaction for opportunity attack since the bat entered Oreus' reach? if yes, that's the attack:
Attack: 15 Damage: 8
I'll allow it (at 10 feet as the "rat" has not closed with you yet)
As the rat charges Shadow and Oreus ever quick with his glaive gets off an attack before the foul beast closes in for the kill. He hits it, but the rat doesn't seem to notice.

ooc: dunno about Alben, but I guess Oreus may be the first to act, since I may have poor connection later, I post now
Oreus tries to get rid of the rat, inflicting his glaive on it before it can make any more move.
ATTACK: Attack: 14 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
damage if hit: 6
BONUS ATTACK because polearm : 9 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
damage if hit: 8
(I'm assuming you added the 2 damage if hit rolls after getting unable to parse dice roll errors? If so, you have to add any new rolls at the end of the post, can't add new ones before existing ones. If you delete those 2 or move them to the end past the original rolls, it should clear the manipulated dice flag. And usually, if you edit and just add a space or something at the end it'll frequently fix the unable to parse error)
Is the rat blocking the doorway? Could I use my full movement to get behind it and flank?
No it's not blocking the door yet, it about 10 feet from the door. If you want to get behind it you will have to dash and it will provoke an opportunity attack. If you don't want to dash, you would end up outside the door in front of Shadow.

Alben's bolt hits the stone wall causing 4 (even is Shadow, odd is Oreus) to be distracted as wood comes flying down. Make a Wisdom Save DC 8 or attack at disadvantage.
Oreus attacks the Dire Rat with his glaive (I'm using the 2nd roll) the main attack misses but whipping up the butt he lands a solid blow. How ever the rat seems to shrugged off most of the damage.
Laladak, Shadow (don't forget to make that save) and Tyris are up.
Tyris checks the dresser drawers before joining the others by the door.
Tyris opens the dresser drawers only to find dust and cobwebs.
Shadow will open door R
