Kryinor furrows his brow before releasing a long breath,
"As promised, we will deal with undead and then we will help Riedoth. I believe the unknown undead are of more concern, while banshee's are concerning they usually do not stray..."
Gear sorted, straps tightened and weapons ready you leave the now quiet Tor and head North East towards the ancient watch tower at Old Owl Well. Although only about 10 to 15 miles separates the two locations the way across the rocky hills at the foot of the Sword Mountains is fairly rough. Many gullies and washouts bar the way, the higher elevations are littered with loose stone ready to give way at any misstep.
The morning passes and the sun climbs high into the air above you, the tops and slopes remain eerily quiet. The skies remain thankfully free of any looming threat. By early afternoon you see a high rise with the stub of walled ruined watch tower at its summit.
The old road winds up and around the hill and more scree strewn slopes guard its other borders. A tantalising hint of garish colour can be seen just inside the South West corner of the site.
"Of course I can my make my way forward and conduct some reconnaissance, but first perhaps our large muscled friend can use his sword given abilities to take an Eagle Eyed look in yonder direction? What do you see? Any information would be helpful before I approach."
Zaxx mops his brow (again) and plonks himself down on a nearby stone.
"I shall ... just take a moment to get my breath," he gasps. He takes long draw from his waterskin, glad that his companions are skilled in foraging and survival.
Breccha quietly bandages and cleans any wounds and eats something. Nodding to the others he follows on. When he sees the tower in the distance he remembers when he draws his sword he seems to see very well - so drawing his weapon he gazes carefully at the tower and the surrounding lands and even the strangely quiet sky. (ooc - what should I roll for this?)
Breccha grasps the hilt of his sword and concentrates on the rubble topped hill in the distance. His eyesight seems to blur at the edges and zoom in to the hilltop and the old rubble.
He sees what looks like a serviceable path that circles the hill to the low lying ruins of an ancient tower at the summit. In the south west corner the splash of colour looks like a sizable tent.
Apart from that he sees no other sign of movement or occupation. All seems quite and still.
Breccha turns the the party and explains. "I see a path" He indicated the location by pointing. "It leads to the ruins and hill. In the Southwest of it there seems to be a big tent or something". He indicates where the path begins.
Titus scouting in the lead moves off and quickly disappears in the rough terrain. Making your way towards the hill you make out the walls, or what's left of them in better detail.
Like a lot of the ancient structures in the area this is barely more than a pile of rubble, having been exposed to the weather for perhaps thousands of years. Amidst the north wall the broken stump of a tower rises a mere 15 feet into the sky. It looks as though the bottom floor would make a passable shelter in the event of one of the flash storms that haunt the mountains form time to time.
You have been told by the Mayor that the structure contains a well that is used by travelers to restock on the long journeys tot he West.
The latest rumors of the goings on here have left the Old Owl Well quiet and deserted.
As Titus nears the hill [about 100 feet form the winding path, he smells a distinct odor of death and rotting flesh...
Titus pauses. making use of the rocky and blasted terrain he remains hidden as best he can. He delves into his mind and casts his perception about himself stretching out over the landscape seeking the tell tale aura and presences of fell creatures.
one spell slot expended to use Primeval AwarenessPHB, pg. 92
As an action, you can expend one ranger spell slot (1 minute per level of spell slot) to sense whether any aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain). This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number.
Titus feels the land around him the deep movement of water and earth, the light energy of the living creatures that inhabit the brush and rock covered slopes and gullies.
After a few moments he begins to feel a dark wearying presence, a blight on the land. The strange unatural energy of undeath...
OOC: Is anyone else doing anything in the mean time?

Kargan casts a disdainful glance at the exhausted wizard, then responds to Titus -
"Pah, why resort to magic when ye have two good eyes elf!"

"A tent?!? What bampot would be way out here, and camped in that place?!?"
Seems someone thinks it a great camping spot eh chaps? lets go see.
Titus then head off towards the hill
