"Uh... Right then! Let me just move on over here..."
Taalomar makes a show of rolling his shoulders as he gets into position. Then, taking a moment to make sure none are in the immediate passageway, he brings back out the still glowing coin... following a quick word of warning, of course. He snaps the shield in position a second later before barreling forward into the door, aiming to -- if nothing else -- use it as a makeshift battering ram.

"Woof! Oh... That one smarted. But no worries fellas, I still... got... What in the nine...."
Taalomar trails off there having stopped rolling his shoulder again to work out the new kinks to stare dumbly at the changed in symbols. It takes a good little while before Taalomar grip on the coin tightens to the point scant beams of light slip past the grasp. After hoping a few times from one foot and the next, gradually shifting back to the far wall, he snaps back into his original start-up charge position.
"Don't worry fellas. I still have this! Just misplaced footing is all. Ground not so even, like dwarven hall, but will adjust and get it this time. No blasted sigil of evil can stop the father's hammer."
He states probably in either blatant ignorance or share stubbornness. But, at least he doesn't charge immediately, so there's plenty of time to stop him. Otherwise....
Wallace stepped over and set a hand on the dwarf's shoulder. "Whoa there, big guy. I'm sure no door can stop the father's hammer, but perhaps the father has a more appropriate tool for this particular job? I can't help but feel there's a better way to get through this than brute force." Wallace chuckles half-heartedly, hoping to keep Taalomar from injuring himself by repeatedly charging the door.
Taalamor looks back and forth between the door and Wallace; and, for a short while, things are tense given if the crinkling sound of leather bonds are any indication. With a deep, agitated sigh and single shake of the head, he lowers the shield back to the side.
"You have quite way with words, Wallace. I give you that. Now 'xcuse me, as I go deal with cosmic asshat's locking mechanism."
And on that dry note, Taalomar moves into position as directed by Dekker. Thinking himself clever after giving the symbols a once over, he plants his shield into the earth, picks up one of the skeleton's hand, and then tried touching the symbols with the it.

"You all seem to know what you're doing," Ja'han says without a hint of sarcasm in his voice. He heads outside toward the dwarf cleric. "I'll see if I can't help Friend Taalomar..."
Taalomar drops the arm to the ground to cover his mouth piece, and starts loosely pantomiming rubbing his chin.
Hmph... Leave it to a Bhaal'er to use old rites -- Ja'han. Wallace. Look here. It seems certain price of entry be needed to enter perhaps? I'd, uh... explore it more personally, but... find myself at an, uhmm, impasse. Is that right word?"

Ja'han tries to get a better look at the symbol, but his face bears a quizzical look. "Any ideas, Friend Taalomar?"
When the dwarf mentions a price of entry, Ja'han cocks his head. "Care to enlighten me, Friend Taalomar? My eyes nor my mind are as young as they used to be..."

Dekker pats Taalomar on the shoulder and gives him the go-ahead after lowering his lowly wooden staff.
"I believe it is your time to shine."

You bounce off the door and stumble backwards as if you hit a steel wall. As you do, the rune seems to shift shapes, becoming familiar to you all.

All of you realize that this rune looks eerily close to the symbols of Bhaal that they have seen all over the walls and the pillars outside.

In an act of pure curiosity, Dekker reaches out and places his hand on the symbol after it shifted shape.
"Hmm, I wonder if it this simple after all..."

It changes back to the original shape, which seems to resemble other symbols on the wall that translate into "Death"
"Perhaps the symbols outside share the same properties as this...?"
Dekker touches the symbol again, watching it closely as it shifts.
"Would anyone care to venture back outside and experiment? Try to activate a symbol."

Taalomar and Ja'han, both of you make investigation checks
"Cute. Very cute." Taalomar replies just as sarcastically during the experiment.

Taalomar, you notice that in the center of the large Bhaal symbol outside the opening there seems to be a fair amount of dried blood
"Oh my..."
