"Thank you Professor Aemon, I hope I can gain as much knowledge as you in this new role. I have some sad but interesting news, the provost at the School of Pre-Galifar Studies Bonal Geldem was murdered last night and I was attacked by the killer too but lucky I used some of the magic you taught me and I was well protected by benevolent strangers I met in a bar of all places. What makes this even more confusing is this book," Braxiel will pull out the book from his bag and hand it to Aemon,
"This book has some form of a magical lock or code that is causing the writing in it to appear blank. It is connected to the house Cannith and bears its mark of making. I am hoping you could give me more information about this book and marking since you were able to identify something about my own marking. I was also hoping that we could do this somewhere safe because I believe the threat that took Bonal's life will do the same to me now that I am in possession of the book."
"Bonel? How? When? Why?"Says the Professor somewhat stunned, more as suprised sentences than as real questions! Then he makes a sign for Braxiel follow him to a smaller office accessed through a door at the back of the main room. When they are alone, the Professor analyzes the book using some of his spells. After a few minutes he turns back to Braxiel. "You have already analyzed very well, dear Brexiel. Its pages are locked and only be accessible if "unlocked" by a specific item or person. It´s a journal, something very personal and belongs to House Canith. So, I suspect only they will know what to do with this." "But if this was in Bonel´s possession when he was murdered, why is it with you? Shouldn't you hand it over to the authorities, noble boy?" asks the Professor, a little suspicious.
"Everything happened so quickly and the authorities seemed all too eager to label me and my merry band as murder. I told them that I would be happy to come with them and give a statement of what happened but they seemed uninterested. I don't know what it says in this book but it is something very important and I can not let go of such valuable knowledge. I hope you can understand, our people live so long that when we are given a real challenge we can't help ourselves but solve it. Are you at all able to help me uncover the truth or at least protect this book from prying eyes both on the material and the Arcane plane? I do not want this man's death to be in vain or to propel greater pain" Braxiel has a serious look in his eye of both determination and worry.
"Sorry, Braxiel! House Canith is one of the most powerful in Eberron and our university is a neutral entity that shouldn't get involved in something like that" I believe you understand! I´m pretty sure that you can find valuable knowledge in a proper way, as I´m also believe you will know the right thing to do with this journal!" Says the Professor!
"And now, if you allow me, I have an appointment..." He continues, raising his right hand towards the door, as a clear sign to end the conversation.
"Thank you Professor Aemon, you have steered me in the right direction again." Braxiel will do an Insight check to see if there is any subtle tone in Aemon's voice or look that would give him a better hint on what he should do next.
As the morning progresses, Bryn and Rylia slowly begin to wake up. They're in a big room with a wallpaper which has lots of gears printed in various shades of red, pink and brown! Two single beds, one on each side of the room, face a large window with a gray curtain that cuts out most of the sunlight. By the window, two white chairs set around a small table with a light wood top on beautiful adamantine legs. On the table, a jar with a dark colored juice, a small basket with some fruits, and a container with a dark liquid that could be tea or coffee. Under the container, a small magic flame keeps the liquid warm. On small benches next to each of the beds, towels and a clothes rack in the right side of the room, near to a door, hanging some clothes with a note: "feel free to take it!"

You notice the worried look, possibly because of the news of the loss of a colleague, but the usual serene tone. Although he might have some curiosity, in the master's guidance he truly seemed to not want to get involved with something that appeared to be potentially dangerous.
Braxiel will stop in the walkway and turn back, "One more thing, can you point me in the right direction for protection/attack spells, since I am going into the field I want to protect myself." Now the worry is obvious on Braxiel's face and the statement is more of a plea.
"You can find it in the main building on the west block, but remember that you can only access material that you are already prepared to use. For everything else, you can only access it accompanied by a superior master. This rule is for our own protection! You know powerfull arcana magic is and how dangerous its misapplication can be!"
Bryn slowly opens his eyes and looks around the comfortable and warm room. The inviting smell of the hot liquid and softer scent of the fruit makes his stomach growl - his first indication that this isn't, in fact, the afterlife. He checks the area where the second assassin had stabbed him and is surprised not to find a bleeding hole, but a fully healed scar. Next, he sees Rylia in the bed on the other side of the room, and quickly concentrates on his appearance to ensure that he was wearing the correct face. "That's potentially twice in one night she saw my true face...maybe I should tell her the truth about what I am..." he thinks.
And then his stomach growled again - louder and more aggressive this time! He will rise and walk towards the table, glancing back at Rylia to make sure she is still breathing or moving, before pouring some of the coffee and grabbing a roll. He can't help the sigh of contentment that escapes his lips after the first sip...
Coltinar rouses awake refreshed he gets a bath and cleaned up thinking, "Cleanliness is next to Dol Arrah."
"Ah that is better. I can feel more confident seeing the high priest", as he moves through the temple to locate an administrative priest of the day to request an audience with the High Priest. Brother Coltinar checks on Arr along the way to bring him along for the meeting.
Brother Coltinar adds as he talks to the admin priest, "I have a Warforge friend that may stop here soon.. Paladin is his name. Please show him to the breakfast area."
"Arr....How was your inactivity. I trust you were not disturbed? Today is a new day my friend. Remember we need to get you some papers and some employment. Most likely we can get both in the same place."
"Let's go get breakfast and by then perhaps the Hight priest might have some time for us."
Arr reactivated early as he only really needs to rest 6 hours, however, out of respect to the other occupants, they did remain silent until more of them rose. Then, they tended to their rudimentary weapons and their equipment to make sure all remains sharp and in perfect working order, 'Cared for simple tools are better than those of quality that are neglected', they remind themselves.
When Coltinar comes to find them, "Uneventful and refreshing," they reply. "We like it here, it's sad that we have to find our own place but we assume that is what is expected of citizen." R4G3 then accompanies Coltinar to breakfast, where they eat a little bit of the cheaper food out of consideration to their friend. "Perhaps, we can repair or maintain things here in the temple as ... ahem... employment?" asks Arr during breakfast, "This way we can be near you and do... work?"

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
(Agree with Rhanloi - glad I was not killed outright. Thank you!)
Rylia awakens with a bit of confusion. She first notices Bryn taking a drink of something. But that didn't seem right.
She slowly looks about, stands and slowly goes to look at the clothes, curious where they came from. She finally turns to look at Bryn. "I tight they're was a goblin. Although it turned into a dragon... Umm, wait. Did I imagine that?"
Rylia finally recalls being grabbed, slipping out of the grasp only to be stabbed. "Am I... are we dead, Bryn? No. We're not? But where are we?"
Besides the clothes and towels, and ignoring the food and drink a moment, she takes stock of what is here. Specifically, she looks for her viol. And the blue crystal she carried.
Coltinar replies, "Arr what a wonderful idea. We can chat with the High priest of that too. I was hoping Paladin would be able to join us too. We'll give him a few minutes to make it here before we attend our meeting with the High Priest. I wonder how everyone else slept last night. It is fascinating to have met them and well became entangled in the strange assassination. This city is likely full of surprises for us Arr. Some will not be good. We need to be careful and alert. We should always seek peace, but when peace fails we should be twice as fierce as our opponent. Knowing if you can do that is the challenge and there is no shame in avoiding a fight you know you will lose or not live through."
Brother Coltinar finishes his breakfast and adds, "Let's walk about the temple Arr. We can take in the holy blessing of this place as we take a stroll to stretch legs and gather our thoughts.

Paladin's nightly rituals largely involve declarations of evils, and promises to stand against them. He sleeps only so that he might be strong. He wakes at exactly 6 hours after he began sleep so that he can make the most of his time.
That said... It's a big city. He gets a bit lost on his way to find R4G3 and Coltinar.
When he does finally join them, he has met several new acquaintances he describes as friends. "I can never have too many friends. They must know who to call on in time of need. But I today, I am here for to help my friends R4G3 and Brother Coltinar! So let get you some papers!"
Paladin is in this Silver Flame temple in Hope´s Peak since the last week. Hope’s Peak is the most recent temple district constructed in Sharn, and many of the shrines were relocated from the lower levels of Dura to here. The grandiosity of the place still impresses him. He already realizes that the main temples here are the Sovereign Host and the Silver Flame which are huge and beautiful and should draw worshippers from the entire Sharn, considering the number of people that came here every day. But there is no doubt that the most important building is the "Citadel of the Sun", the Temple of Dol Arrah, among all the temples of Hope´s Peak, Paladin thinks while walking to meet Coltinar and R4G3. Despite not need to eat, it is always nice to can fraternize in those social moments, he says to himself, when getting close to their table.
Coltinar and R4G3 are walking around the Citadel of Sun, and the brother is trying to explain some of the aspects of the place. This is the third day of R4G3 here and everything is new and seems toughfully impressive. Coltinar comments that the Citadel of the Sun is the tallest tower in Hope’s Peak and that the stone of the tower has been enchanted to shine like gold, but it is still stone— sometimes some people have sought to scrape a shaving from the wall and get very disappointed. After walking a bit around the place and its beautiful garden, Coltinar and R4G3 meet Paladin in the breakfest area.

Rylia's senses starting awaken. She sees Bryn in the background staring at her as he chews almost ecstatically on a roll. Her thoughts are confused and she tries to figure out where she is. Suddenly the memories of last night flash and she, in an almost automatic instinct, takes her hand to her neck and looks around quickly searching for her violin. As she feels and holds tightly the blue crystal in her neck, Rylia sees her bag next to the bench with the towels, and the violin next to it, leaning against the wall and with its "neck" broken. She looks around and notices that Bryn's backpack is also missing.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bryn smiles when Rylia sits up and starts looking around. "You're awake! I wondered if we were dead, too, but then my empty stomach assured me we are very much alive. Somehow..." He pauses for a moment and then continues. "I feel stronger - healthier - than I should after nearly dying. Twice! We must have been found by a healer from House Jorasco."
Bryn follows Rylia's frantic gaze and sees for the first time where her eyes had stopped...her broken instrument. "Oh no...I will help you get it repaired or find you a new one. But I am grateful to whoever has taken us in for healing us and giving us this nice room to recover. Now come on...get something to eat and then you can have the first bath."He resumes eating breakfast and starts walking around the room, investigating the items, the wallpaper, the door, and the windows. He'd like to figure out where they might be... (Investigation: 18)
While enjoying the food and talking with Rylia, Bryn explores the room looking for some clue that helps to know where they are. The room is not luxurious, but very spacious and comfortable with a small touch of sophistication and very good taste in the decoration. He approaches the wall touching the wallpaper and realizes that the drawings are like the gears in a factory; there are also drawings of mechanical components and Sharn's lightning rails and he figures out that this may resemble the creations of House Canith.
There are three frames composing a picture with beautiful paintings of important points of Sharn.
Underneath the thin white tablecloth, Bryn sees an heraldic symbol that features a blink dog, that is known to come to the aid of those in need. He recognizes it as the symbol of House Ghallanda. Bryn has seen several taverns and inns bearing the Ghallanda sigil and knows that, besides other things, this house runs taverns and inns throughout Khorvaire, including the best ones.
He walks to the side where the benches are with the towels and opens the inner door to find a comfortable bathroom. On top of the washbasin there are a vase plant with very green stems and a small basket with some amenities and a little card folded at a tight angle that says: "Welcome to the Broken Anvil Inn, we hope you enjoy your staying"
