Seeing that, even grabbed, the warforged keeps trying to hit his friends with deadly blows and, knowing that she is already responsible for a body that lies on the ground, right there in front of him, Coltinar screams for someone to help R4G3 to hold her motionless, then joins his hands to his chest and, in a quick gesture, extends his right hand towards the assassin. Waves come out of his hand that vibrates in a sound of loud and shrill bells that go unnoticed by his friends, hitting the body of the warforged that now, offers no more resistance to R4G3. She faints! Next, Coltinar launches a beam of light toward R4G3 to help his friend recover some of the strength lost in the attacks he suffered.
From the Warforged's torso, come some cracks and noises that accompany a mechanical vortex as a small silver-looking ball erupts from her chest. It immediately takes off and flies off into the rain-soaked night.
With that, it looks like the battle is over.

"Damn. That didn't go as planned. Look we'd better move before the Watch stumbles by. I say let's bring the professor back to the college - maybe they can resurrect him or something. At the very least they'll take care of the body, notify his family, whatever. As for the assassin, I want to toss it over the bridge, but it'll probably hurt someone below...besides, we don't want to be blamed for this guy's death." Bryn says to the group, offering a possible course of action to take.
“Or we bring the assassin along, too?” Says R4G3 still holding on to the motionless assassin. On the mention of the guard, R4G3 nervously glances around.
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Bryn reassesses his new warforged companions' strength as they hold the now-dead construct. "Yeah - that's a better option..." he agrees.
Bryn sheathes his rapier, adjusts the dagger at his belt, and then slips his backpack off and holds it in front of him. Bryn pulls out the professor's pouch and papers that he had quickly stashed inside his tunic when the fight started and transfers them into his pack. "Let's get these all to the university. I'd like to study this book before we lose it to the authorities, but not out here in the wet."
(OOC: Based on the flow of action, I think Bryn still has the pouch with the book and papers in it, as he was trying to protect them from the rain by not pulling it out, and then the attack happened.)
Paladin will nod along. "That was strange, seeing that... Whatever it was, when it flew away out of her chest." He plods next to the party, staying ready for action, head on a swivel

Coltinar shaken from the experience and somewhat drained from calling on Dol Arras takes a moment while they others discuss options. He takes a knee by the warforged assassin and says a pray, "Dol Arras please guide this soul to where it belongs. In death may they find peace, Amen."
Coltinar adds, "Someone should search the assassin body for items that can be of use to our group as we continue to investigate this corruption. Good work Arr and Paladin. The rest of you too. We must be careful as it seems our adversaries are a bit more skilled than we are. We will need to coordinate our skills and protect those that need to stay out of melee. I have used all my healing gifts and will need a rest soon. Let us be going once the assassin has been searched with all to the university then."
OOC - I should have stated that Brother Coltinar once the assassin gets to zero hp pulls back to just subdues them/knocks them out with the spell? I think I'd seen where there is an option to just subdue a creature not kill them with an attack? I Should have stated that but didn't factor in they were that close to death?

Rylia nods. "Yes, let's move quickly to the university. And we should take both with us." She moves to where the assassin is lying unconscious. "I can try to help carry this one I guess. Let me check out what she has first." She starts to go through what she might have on her. (Investigation: 8)
R4G3 nods to Coltinar and searches the assassin's body (Investigation: 7). They are, however, still distracted by thinking about what could have been that silvery orb that emerged from the warforged. They turn to Coltinar, "Do we all have this silvery orb inside us? Do you know?" After the halfhearted search, it occurs to R4G3 that they could check for life signs at the warforged, too, (Medicine? 3) but they are uncertain what to look for as warforged don't have a pulse or even breathe. "How do we know that they are dead?" they ask the group, "Was this their soul that departed?" he adds with genuine curiosity.

R4G3 nods to Coltinar and searches the assassin's body (Investigation: 7). They are, however, still distracted by thinking about what could have been that silvery orb that emerged from the warforged. They turn to Coltinar, "Do we all have this silvery orb inside us? Do you know?" Confused, R4G3 tries to understand what happened. He tries to figure out if the killer is dead, but all he can tell is that he isn't breathing. He tries to find out about the silvery orb, but nobody seems to have seen anything like it before.
While you investigate what the warforged was carrying and discuss if and how to get the bodies to the university, two males and a female, wearing the green-and-black studded leather of Sharn’s City Watch, emerge from the rain-drenched night. The leader, a powerfully built bald dwarf with a close-cropped beard, steps forward, leveling his crossbow in your direction. The small ball of arcane light, hovering just above and behind his left shoulder, illuminates the area, which is nice, considering that Rylia´s orbs of light are already gone. To each side, a human male and female stand with halberds at the ready.
They see the warforged deactivated and on their knees, then the dead human.
“For Olladra’s bloody nose!” the dwarf curses. “By order of the Watch, drop your weapons and explain yourselves!”
Rylia lifts her hands up to make it clear to the watch that she doesn't have any weapons. At least not in her hands. "Thank goodness you are here! This warforged here,' she points to where the assassin lies, "has murdered this man!" She then poitns at the professor. "We had seen the man on the ground, but were too late to help him. Then she must have come back to remove us as witnesses! We were just gonig to try to get this man back to the university to see if they could help him."
(Ooc: on my phone so can’t format.) Braxiel will also raise his hands with his school badge and say, “I can confirm this, I work for the same university and when we found my colleague dead on the ground we were assaulted by this clocked warforged. I am more than happy to go with you and give you my statement of the events.”
R4G3 lets the assassin's hand slip and follows Rylia in raising their hands. Though, with a worried and puzzled expression, they eye their empty hands and wonder if they do well as they were instructed to drop their weapons not raise them. 'And we might be considered a weapon by some, too. Should we drop down?' Stuck in thought, R4G3 does not reply to the guards but spares a glance to Coltinar for guidance.

Brother Coltinar does not have any weapons in hand either raises them and signals Paladin and Arr to raise their hands saying, "I am Brother Coltinar Priest of Dol Arras. It is as they have stated. This assassin here prayed upon this individual. We attempted to assist them and found we were too late. While doing so the assassin came back as we must have startled them at first so they ran off and came back to make sure they did the job. The Assassin is just unconscious, but the victim is dead unless we get them to the university fairly quickly. Can you assist us?"
Brother Coltinar takes a bit of phosphorescent moss and places it on his Holy Symbol Amulet of light and cast the cantriplight in a faint bluish hue.
