"We can certainly time our spells to do the most damage and havoc but Elsara has a valid point. They could have a head start but perhaps sunlight hinder their advance. They could travel on a close carriage though and be far gone, or the tracks and the locks are just a try to convince us that they had left and throw us in a goose chase..."
The party busts into the main hall they had walked out of just the other da. The sound of their heavy boots are muffled by the thick red carpet. The hall is dark like a Vampire's abode should be. The two armors standing up high on the balcony overlooking the first floor train their crossbows on Runt, the party frontliner. The Sword-and-board Armors raise their shields and begins taking small steps towards the party with robotic cries of, "Intruder! Intruder! Intruder!". The two lance armors move with the shield wall, the tips of their long weapons ready to stab any who stand in the formation's way.
Too bad for Vlad and crew, the party had prepared for this situation. Val and Elsara both have their own spells ready.
Reaction time. Val and Elsara: use whatever spell you had readied before entering. Then we will go into normal combat if the armors survive.
Elsara holds an orb of flames for the doors to be pushed open. With the split second of seeing the room, she hurls the mote towards the centre of the group, a huge explosion of fire engulfing the area. (Fireball: Targeting area from B2-J11, 40' area)
Fireball: DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, dealing 31 fire damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.
With the fiery explosion, she is hoping that the planned instant gush of magical water from her friend will douse any stray fires.
Without delay Valwaryn follow Elsara's display of power by chanting words in the Old Tongue and he called upon the strenght of the river, fed by the snow waters at the first days of spring, when it comes down with renewed strength and fall clamoring among the rocks
A wave of water wash over the armors, raising steam from the previous overheated metal from Elsara's spell.
They look, trying to see of there are any armor standing after their spells.
( ST Dex 15 for 19 bludgeoning damage and being prone on failure. Half damage and not prone on success)
The fiery explosion unleashed into the middle of the room by Elsara blasts apart most of the opposition. The carpet catches on fire from the blast but A tidal wave from Val makes short work of that fire and all but two of the armors, one wielding a lance and one wielding a shield and sword. The force on the pieces of the armors prove too great for the magic animating it and they scatter to the floor with metallic clangs. Of the remaining two armors, the one with the lance slowly gets up and lumbers its way towards Val and Runt. Though it can't quite reach them and attack. The sword one though, stood its ground against the tide and now charge Runt, attacking the orc from the side as she was the only one that armor could reach. The sword opens gashes on Runt's shoulder and arm.
The fiery explosion that made short work of the armors seems to have created a new problem. The ceiling of the main hall has caught fire and is now burning away with loud crackling. The Hall is now slowly filling with thick grey smoke as a large part of the ceiling begins to burn, raining to small bits of ember on to the floor below. The ceiling was sadly too high (20ft) for the Tidal Wave to reach and thus was spared from being extinguished like the carpet fire was.
Devarus certainly has no objections! In fact, while Runt is dealing with the one, he charges forward to the other with Scattershot in hand, and with every bit of faith in Runt keeping him protected while shotgunning several bolts into the constructs form. If both are down after all of that, Devarus takes a bit to catch his breath, before grinning in triumph.
Though the first swing of Runt's axe glances off the armor thanks to it being... well... a living suit of solid metal armor, the second swing though, is enough to sever the already weakened magic holding the Armor together and the pieces fall to the wet carpet in pieces. Deva though still needs to work on his aim. He had not accounted for the erratic spread of the Scattershot, and ends up harmlessly scratching the armor and instead, peppering the ground around it with sharp darts.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Elsara will draw the scimitar and dart to the other side of the remaining animated suit, slashing at it with her magic followed by a cut beneath its arms. (Move into flanking, action to attack action with cantrip)
Booming Blade:23Hit:8 magical slashing, plus 5 thunder damage (additional 4 thunder damage if it moves before next turn.)
With two consecutive slashes from the Scimitar, the last armor's pieces jerk a bit as the magic that held them together in a roughly humanoid form fades and the loose pieces simply remain scattered on the ground where the animated armor was.
All the armors were defeated though there was still the problem of the ceiling being on fire.
Val's turn (Still keeping track of initiative mostly to track how the fire is going. Combat has technically ended though)
"Good. That's the doormen down. Now we can focus on-" Devarus stops there and looks up to the fire. "Putting that out for now. Maybe? Frankly, I'm starting to mind less and less about setting this whole place ablaze the more I think of that man's hand in things, but I imagine it'll be somewhat difficult to search it properly with a blaze going strong around us." He expresses with a bit of frown. He then looks to Elsara and Val. "Any ideas?"

"Hn. Hate to agree, but such an expenditure is worth it for now." Devarus admits. "Once its out, we head for the upper floors, and work our way down, dispatching whatever other guardians he might have stationed here. But here's hoping this was the majority, aside any loose ends guarding the sides or patrolling the halls." Devarus waits until Val's magic had run its course for the second time, before with some tentativeness, making his way for the upper landing and plotting the next course from there.

I have one question: How high off the ground did you center the fireball?
Also DEX saves: 36 44 (Rolling 4 dice at once)

Never got around to posting the state of the armors but that wave is going to be enough to destroy all of the armors except for the two that passed.
So rolling for that:
Shield Armor:20
Lance Armor: 4
Before moving forward, need to know how high off the ground Elsara wanted to use her fireball.
Probably about 10 feet off of the ground, so it'd reach about 30' upwards in case of hitting ceilings etc.
Got it.
