The furious shriek of the kobold immediately behind its fallen leader turns into a hissing gurgle as The Black Rose's blows batter it into unconsciousness. The left hand one, while bleeding profusely from Erolith's sword, is still on its feet. It backs away from him hastily and looses a bolt from its hand crossbow at his chest, while the remaining kobold screams in terror and reflexively looses a shot at The Black Rose. That scaly creature then turns and begins racing towards the shadows to the right, perhaps seeking to circle around you and escape; while its comrade backs slowly towards the left-hand side of the courtyard with its face towards you and its weapon still raised.

(OOC: I'd say that as long as the opponent moves past your ally they can get an opportunity attack, assuming they're armed with a melee weapon. If they have a missile I think the movement would be too unpredictable to allow them to aim accurately enough in time. And as long as you're doing it using something like talking which could plausibly be done while you're busy in combat you could intimidate with a BA. Trying to loom over someone or something like that, that sort of intimidation I'd say you need to focus on enough that it would take an action. As The Black Rose staggered for a second or two after being hit by The bolt, his body swayed, trying to regain his balance. However, he quickly regained his composure and leaped gracefully towards the one kobold that did not run. In mid-air, he prepared his fist and quarterstaff, ready to engage in a swift and powerful attack.
With the momentum gained from his jump, The Black Rose's body spun around, adding even more force to his strike. The combination of his initial momentum and the added rotation intensified the power behind his movements. As he began his descent towards the ground, his quarterstaff aimed for the kobold's feet, poised to strike with precision.
Simultaneously, The Black Rose's elbow was positioned to strike at the kobold's throat. The sheer force and velocity of his swing, coupled with the accuracy of his aim, promised a devastating blow. The intention behind his attack was clear - to incapacitate and neutralize his opponent.

The kobold hisses back, "Passstt you ahlready. Youh'll have to cattch me!" It seizes a crimson stone it is wearing around its neck on a slender thong, breaks the thong with a sudden yank, and flings it to the ground halfway between you. You have just enough time to see that it is carved in the shape of a long-bearded human male head, wearing some ring-shaped headgear --- possibly a coronet, possibly a crown, possibly a mere headband to keep the sweat out of its eyes -- before a red mist begins to pour out of its mouth. This unnatural fog quickly billows outward and thickens; you estimate that it will completely obscure the kobold from your sight in two turns and if it continues to expand it will probably fill the courtyard in no more than five minutes. As far as you can tell through the cloud already between you, the kobold is tensing its strong, scaly haunches in preparation for a dash away through the alley you came in by.

(OOC: If anyone wants to pursue, the rules are below. I'll continue to put these things in spoiler boxes to save space and in the hopes the mysterious BBCode god(desse)s will allow it to miraculously work one of these times instead of constantly appearing as "[spolier](etc.)..." in the text of the message ... oh shell, anyway, here it is for anyone to look at who wants to chase:
[spoiler]
Chases
Strict application of the movement rules can turn a potentially exciting chase into a dull, predictable affair. Faster creatures always catch up to slower ones, while creatures with the same speed never close the distance between each other. This set of rules can make chases more exciting by introducing random elements.
Beginning a Chase
A chase requires a quarry and at least one pursuer. Any participants not already in initiative order must roll initiative. As in combat, each participant in the chase can take one action and move on its turn. The chase ends when one side drops out or the quarry escapes.
When a chase begins, determine the starting distance between the quarry and the pursuers. Track the distance between them, and designate the pursuer closest to the quarry as the lead. The lead pursuer might change from round to round.
Running the Chase
Participants in the chase are strongly motivated to use the Dash action every round. Pursuers who stop to cast spells and make attacks run the risk of losing their quarry, and a quarry that does so is likely to be caught.
Dashing
During the chase, a participant can freely use the Dash action a number of times equal to 3 + its Constitution modifier. Each additional Dash action it takes during the chase requires the creature to succeed on a DC 10 Constitution check at the end of its turn or gain one level of exhaustion.
A participant drops out of the chase if its exhaustion reaches level 5, since its speed becomes 0. A creature can remove the levels of exhaustion it gained during the chase by finishing a short or long rest.
Spells and Attacks
A chase participant can make attacks and cast spells against other creatures within range. Apply the normal rules for cover, terrain, and so on to the attacks and spells.
Chase participants can’t normally make opportunity attacks against each other, since they are all assumed to be moving in the same direction at the same time. However, participants can still be the targets of opportunity attacks from creatures not participating in the chase. For example, adventurers who chase a thief past a gang of thugs in an alley might provoke opportunity attacks from the thugs.
Ending a Chase
A chase ends when one side or the other stops, when the quarry escapes, or when the pursuers are close enough to their quarry to catch it.
If neither side gives up the chase, the quarry makes a Dexterity (Stealth) check at the end of each round, after every participant in the chase has taken its turn. The result is compared to the passive Wisdom (Perception) scores of the pursuers. If the quarry consists of multiple creatures, they all make the check.
If the quarry is never out of the lead pursuer’s sight, the check fails automatically. Otherwise, if the result of the quarry’s check is greater than the highest passive score, that quarry escapes. If not, the chase continues for another round.
The quarry gains advantage or disadvantage on its check based on prevailing circumstances, as shown in the Escape Factors table. If one or more factors give the quarry both advantage and disadvantage on its check, the quarry has neither, as usual.[/spoiler[

"And the ferryman collects his due" Artifex says with a chuckle, before their grin finally slips as it grimaces, inspecting their wound. "Pain. The one curse of mortals I've yet to eliminate. Now then!" Their demeanor shifts once more as it clasp their hands together. "Lets see what we can glean from our friends here. Though I hardly need one, I've never been one to turn down an excuse to seek out the Faerahrnara-Ivae. And I've yet to encounter an assassination attempt that didn't lead somewhere interesting. I once saw a great leader struck down by his own spy guild. John F. Something or another. The bullet design was quite ingenious actually. The locals believed it to be magic."
It pauses for a moment, then realization crosses their face. "My Apologies. I believe it's called The Witch-Light in common."
"I'll go drag this one back so it doesn't cause a scare." Tarton says as he heads to the kobold he shot. He stiffens for a moment and says under his breath, "Ugh, noooo. That's gross, I won't eat a part of it's ear."
Then he drags the kobold back to the other bodies. As he passes the apple core lying on the ground, he picks it up and eats two of the seeds before throwing it against the wall. "Its got to be better than kobold." He mumbles before saying out loud, "This was my first fight, so... what do we do with the bodies? And... what's a Witch Light?"
"I will saw in most realms I've experienced reptiles don't have enough meat to be worth killing regardless. Though I admit I've always been curious as to the flavor of Dragon meat."
Their eyes light up when Tarton asks his question, like someone getting to explain their favorite topic. " You've never been? I can't say that's surprising, it's probably seen more realms than even I. It's mobility makes it quite difficult to find. It's a sort of...hm, how best to put this. It's a sort of interdimensional festival, owned by Misters Witch and Light respectively, with some of the most unique attractions one can experience. I've been fortunate enough to run into it a few times in my travels." It gestures at the unknown creature. "Our charming Harengon friend here is wearing an outfit reminiscent of what I saw a number of those employed at said festival seemed to wear."
Artifex smirks. "It's always fun when they don't know they've lost the game. Means I get some target practice." They say gleefully, sending a bolt flying one of the Kobolds

Two Questions
One, just to clarify, if I use a spell to pull an enemy out of an allies melee range, would that give my ally an opportunity attack?
Secondly, any chance I could use my BA for an intimidation check or something of that nature?
