The dwarf enters the tower and makes his way up the stairs. He grips his axe tightly in anticipation, ready for whatever awaits in the room. (Giant Boar, initiative 9)
Giant Boar rolls initiative 11
Having heard reports of the beast within, you have a surprise round to act before the Giant Boar's first turn
Aresus, the bugbear War Cleric currently equipped with splint and a lance, stands before the tower and prepares for the monsters within by drinking his potion of heroism and saying a prayer to Mars (in the form of casting protection from evil and good on himself). He walks into the tower to fight the choker that lurks within (Encounter 2A), with his initiative of 2 (1 + 1).
Choker rolls initiative 10
Having heard reports of the Choker within, you have a surprise round to act before the Choker's first turn
Alright then. Aresus will walk within range of the aberration, using his large arms to thrust the lance at the choker with remarkable force and divinely empowered speed.
Move: 15 feet away from the choker Action: Attack (lance): 20 (15 + 5) to hit, 22 (10 + 3 + 9) piercing damage Bonus Action: War Priest (lance): 21 (16 + 5) to hit, 19 (12 + 3 + 4) piercing damage

OOC: Thanks for the confirmation on where things are.
Garagas takes a deep breath as the ooze enters the room. "The bottles are knocked over, but at least they're still there." He chucks the oil bottle in his hand at the ooze, runs over to C8, and grabs a candle off the wall.
Oil Bottle Attack (on hit, ooze is doused for 1 minute): 18 (dex check in log)
Bottles on G3, G4, F4
I imagined that the bottles were uncorked and are now pooling in each square. Did you leave the bottles closed or open?
If uncorked, you can throw the candle instead on square F4 dealing 5 damage. The Ochre Jelly double moves next to you in C8.
If corked, then now the Ochre Jelly will be dowsed. The Ochre Jelly double moves next to you in C8.
OOC: With the bottles, I had been thinking they'd be sitting there since I wasn't sure if laying them on the ground would have a 1-minute evaporation time. The idea was to eventually get positioned where I could do something like running down to H3 where the ooze would need to dash to follow, use Word of Radiance while running to H3 to break the bottles, and then dropping a candle to light up the oil and have all them doing damage for a couple rounds. (For future reference: how quickly would fire spread from one oil square to the next? I probably should have asked earlier.) If the 1-minute evaporation doesn't apply for spreading it on the ground and is thrown-specific then I guess I'd go with having pooled it in the squares instead of keeping the bottles closed. Either way, I still want to have thrown the in-hand oil bottle at the ooze to prepare for 2-rounds of fire damage on it.
Garagas snarls at the ooze and leads tries to lead it around the room to a more suitable positions.
if(Jelly on B6, B7, C6, C7)
Garagas -> H3
else if(Jelly on C6, C7, D6, D7)
Garagas -> H3
else if(Jelly on D6, D7, E6, D7)

If dropping the candle on the jelly to set it alight is a free/bonus action then he'll do that and grab another candle at his end location. But if it requires an attack then he'll hold on to the current candle.
