In particular, the self-moving armor unleashes the majority of its hits against Clas. However, the intrepid warrior laughs and intercepts with 'Barrel' blow for blow... This Scale Mail is undoubtedly tenacious, but fortunately not too skilled in battle.
But here, in a glorious clank of metal, another self-moving armor joins the fray, arriving from the east corridor. It's a rather neglected mail scale, which already lacks some metal scales; but she is still determined and combative, in fact she enters the alcove and kicks Ardana with her iron shoe.
Ardana is ready to dodge her new opponent's kick and, at the same time, she swing her greatsword into Dented Helmet in a hard slash… but the hard metal of the self-moving armor deflects the blow. Meanwhile Barakor, who before seemed ready to fight, seeing Daisy retreat, disengages and follows the dwarf.
A third scale mail arrives, but can be more heard than seen, since she is coming from the north... and thus has its way blocked by Dented Helmet.
So, finally... Nimblestep and Clas are up! Any order.
With a burst of energy, Clas steps to the east, his movements swift and purposeful. He unsheathes Ale, his trusty longsword, and readies his shield, Barrel.
Without missing a beat, Clas swings his shield with precision, the clang of metal against metal resounding through the air as he strikes the ceremonial gong. He grins.
As the reverberations of the gong's sound fill the chamber, Clas keeps a watchful eye on the floating armor before him. His gaze remains unwavering, his focus split between the gong's sounding and the armor's response.
I'll grant Clas striking the gong as his free object interaction of his turn, since it is not something too dangerous, time-consuming, or complicated.
Sadly, it seems not to have any effect on the self-moving armor... it's still moving (and fighting).
You still can use your action or movement, if you like. And since you was experimenting with things in the room, remember that there is also the smaller rock wall to the east that nobody has checked yet (this second wall is as long as the room's east wall, thus marking off a narrow space between itself and the latter). I don't know if Clas finds that interesting...
Clas, seized by a sudden inspiration, strikes the gong with a quick bang of 'Barrel' - and succeeds without problems... but unfortunately, at least for now, this doesn't seem to have any practical effect.
The irreducible warrior then turns to face the guardian! A quick hit of 'Ale' blares to no avail on the Scale Mail...which, empty as it is, is apparently quite robust. But the self-moving armor didn't expect the return blow, which hits it even more violently than before... this time detaching and flying off an entire shoulder pad. The empty armor begins to look more and more empty...
Now Round 3 starts! Ardana and Ilwythe are up! Any order.
The perplexed barbarian hears someone from beyond the mist calling for a strategic retreat - but at the same time he sees Clas continuing to grapple fiercely with the guardian. The barbarian then, considering that he cannot know what situation he would find by fleeing blindly in the fog (he would risk finding himself blocked with enemies in front and a guardian behind), decides to stay and help Clas, once again making his rapier dart.
This time, however, the sharp point of the weapon strikes at the wrong angle and slides down the stairs without effect.
In the meantime, outside the room, Dented Helmet emerges from the mists, entering the alcove and shouldering Ardana, as if to break down a door (while instead he clearly wants to break down the brave paladin's chest).
Our champion, however, is not just any door! Bringing the shield to his shoulder and opposing his full weight, Ardana nullifies the charge of the animated armor.
Tarysaa was standing in the main staircase landing, trying to not hyperventilate. This was all wrong. She wanted to understand this place but she wasn't being given enough time. ARCANA check: 8 Try as she might she was not 'seeing' the crucial pieces. She KNEW these were no simple, low level enchantments, but... gah!
Suddenly Ardana stepped back into the room followed in a moment by another animated suit of armour. Reacting almost instinctively, Tarysaa sent MAGIC MISSILE at the lumbering metal foe. Hoping against hope she might slow it down or at least impair it's function, she tried to hit the legs of the ambling figure.
Seeing Ardana emerge from the foggy corridor and soon followed by another suit of armor, Daisy whips another rock, attempting to add to the dents on the helmet.
"Where are the others!? We should at least fight them out here so we don't have to deal with the fog!"
(Move: Step to the spot 3 spaces West of Ardana. Action: Throw rock, 16 to hit for 6 damage.)
Dented Helmet is wlecomed by a volley of stones and bolts of magical energy... The stone hits the hemlet, but the hard metal just rings like a bell, while the stone bounces - it doesn't seem to have taken any damage this time. Bolts of magical energy, on the other hand, strike armor greaves with violence and precision!
Meanwhile, in the gong room the ruthless battle against the original guardian continues, who first tries with the gauntlets to move the opponents' weapons and cause openings in their guard, then tries to surprise them with a helmet-headbutt!
Round 2

Scales Missing's Kick: 11 Damage: 8 (bludgeoning)
Ardana gets a swing on the DH to the north with disadvantage, I think, due to the held action, will roll now.
(OOC: 15 to hit, (12/11 rolled), 13 damage, damage rolls continue to be excellent)

Nim watches everyone emerge from the mist in a frenzy and seems a bit confused and worried.
”What is happening?!”
He shouts to anyone and everyone.
He quickly bestows Taryssa with bardic inspiration, readies himself to evade harm and moves to the bottom of the staircase.
