Kalhala - When you step around the corner you hear and feel a THUNK as an arrow buries itself into your shield. You see another orc reaching behind her back for another arrow to fire at you.
Orc F uses her held action to fire an arrow at any PCs that enter her line of sight.
Kalhala shouts back to the others, "We got a live one! and it appears this place opens up back here." and he uses the rest of his 30' to get into melee range with F, pulling back his longsword as he runs and slashing it into her as he arrives.
Berkarak hears Kalhala's warning and runs to help. He sees the wounded orc and blasts some crackling energy at it (Eldritch blast, 21 to hit, 10 force damage)
Berkarak - The crackling energy streaks through the narrow passage and slams into the orc's chest. She falls to the ground with a large smoking hole where her sternum used to be.
"Gods above and below," Lehmani sighs to herself. "That bull is going to be the death of me..."
She calls out to Kalhala, "Don't get too far, Kalhala! We have one man on the other side this damnable bridge and the other mostly there... We can't just run off and leave them!"
She continues casting Mending on the bridge to support Zubien's crossing as she calls out to Grymar and Zubien. "What do you want to do, friends? Keep pushing forward or brave the bridge again to turn back?"
Berkarak hoofs it back to the bridge, mildly out of breath from the excitement. "Let's push forward, but we must watch our flank. Lehmani, remind me to tell you about a book I read once about a group of younglings going to a carnival to see a magic cat. There was a bridge crossing scene that was quite tense." He looks sternly at the ropes. "Ok, let's do this. Steady as she goes..."
Berkarak will hold his action until Zubien is across. He will then use his action to dash, gaining movement to attempt to cross the bridge. (Acrobatics, with advantage, 19)
The snarling orc by Grymar rushes in, causing the rotating gears around him to flash briefly but the orc pushes through. Its meaty fist pistons out and slams against Grymar's jaw, dealing 4 points of bludgeoning damage.
The doors in the eastern wall suddenly begin flexing against the rope that binds them shut, but it holds this round.
The party is up!
Berkarak - If you'd still like to use your pre-posted action and roll from post #530 this round you may, or you could so something else entirely as well.
Satisfied that the orc he's fighting is good and dead, Kalhala heeds Lehmani's call and starts back to join the group.
Using his dash, he makes it back beside Berkarak, "Sorry bout that, didn't want no orcs to come up from behind us, you know?" He looks over across the bridge and sees the doors move. "Ah, best we get over there, eh?" smiling at the other two.
Anger wells up in Grymar and he spits blood at the orc after the well placed punch to the jaw. “Hammer it is then!” He swings his war hammer at the orc, hitting him squarely in the chest. As he does so, blue / yellowish bees that seem real, but also glowing and spiritual seem to flow out of the end of his hammer, as Grymar gives a strange laugh, seeing what his friends can do. “Bee seein’ you later! Nah!” The force of bees seems to be pushing the orc backward, and over the chasm to fall….
War hammer : 17 to hit, for 3 points of bludgeoning damage.
Gathered Swarm(Special)
Once on each of your turns, you can cause the swarm to assist you in one of the following ways, immediately after you hit a creature with an attack:
- The attack’s target must succeed on a STR saving throw (DC:13) or be moved by the swarm up to 15 ft. horizontally in a direction of your choice. ((Backward over the chasm.))
Grymar looks up briefly and sees the glowing sign of the cog, the protection from Lehmani disappear, but he looks back down to see if the orc falls.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Grymar - The moment the warhammer hits the orc's chest, the head of the hammer erupts in a flash of blue light. The orc is launched clear across the chasm, its body disintegrating as the blue light crawls across it. What's left hits the far wall with a SMACK and tumbles into the chasm below. You feel the raging storm of magic within the warhammer subside and fade away, leaving nothing in its wake. You also feel a sensation welling up around you, seemingly from the very worked stone on which you stand. Looking down in that moment you could swear you see every pass of the stonemason's saw, ghostly imprints of the stubby dwarven fingers that laid the stones in place. The sensation you feel coalesces into... pride... Pride and satisfaction at vengeance exacted upon ancient enemies. The feeling radiates from the floors, walls, carved stone doors, wherever dwarven blood, sweat, and tears were spilled. You're swept up in a moment of emotion that peaks and fades quickly, much like the magic that had erupted from within your warhammer.
I rolled a STR check for the Orc first because I thought it'd be cooler if you finished him off your way, but he rolled a natural 20+3, so I figured this was the next best option.
Awesome! Grymar feels relieved, vengeance flowing through him, and satisfied.
Movement : Eyes wide as he sees the power push the orc away with such force, he looks down at the war hammer for a moment, grinning. He moves quickly to the doors behind him, shoring up the rope and then going back to the rope bridge to steady it and help his friends across. He takes a few deep breaths, out of the heat of combat. For now.
Lehmani intends to repeat her Mending until all of her companions have crossed the chasm.
As she does so, she calls back to Kalhala, "Of course, friend. Well done showing that orc what's what." She looks to the straining doors on the other side of the chasm."Now, let's pray we can keep these others occupied long enough to get the whole party across."

Lehmani - You see the frayed ropes rebinding themselves and the wooden supports holding the ropes stand straighter as you cast.
The DC to attempt to cross has been reduced to 8 (Athletics or Acrobatics). Because of the nature of the design of the bridge, movement is still halved when moving across the bridge.
All - Since there is still a time-sensitive event occurring (something trying to break through the doors to the east), we will remain in "initiative order" and act in turn, limited by the normal action/movement economy for combat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At Lehmani's words, Kalhala beams.
Once Zubien and Berkarak are across, Kalhala will step up to the rope ladder and before stepping on, he looks down into the chasm. He swallows, hard.
Looking to Lehmani that is holding onto the bridge, he says with a little tremor in his voice, "You got this, right? I'm gonna go help keep that door closed until you're safely across." He looks down again, he can't help it, "I hope" he says a little under his breath.

ROUND 11
All - The pounding on the door gets more insistent and those nearby hear a number of orcs shouting and moving on the other side. The doors suddenly bulge inward as the orcs beyond work in concert to force it open. The rope holds and through the crack you see at least three angry orcs before the doors settle back into place.
The party is up!
Berkarak needs another successful DC 8 Athletics or Acrobatics check to move off of the bridge. The check can be made with ADV while someone is using an action to help keep the bridge steady. Currently Grymar is doing so.
"Aye! Was just about to look." and Kalhala moves 5' to the north to look around the corner.
