The walls and floor of this natural cave have been carefully smoothed. You can discern at least four routes leading off into darkness. Red coals glow from within the southeastern passageway, and a crude wooden cage door closes off the southern exit. Refer to the map if need be in the DM Public Notes, or above. The floor is covered with sleeping furs, crates, sacks, and rubbish.
There are two points of interests in this area: the cage door to the south, and the amount of crates and sacks in this room.
There are a TON of, what look to be, plundered supplies in this area of the cave. Crates of food, basic ingredients like flour, perishable food stocks. About 20gp worth of supplies.
A row of rough-hewn sapling trunks forms a crude but servicable barrier across the mouth of this small cave. A door locked with an iron padlock secures the room. Inside you see two filthy prisoners dressed in tattered rags, crowding close to the door.
"Thank Yondalla!" One of them cries out. "We're saved!"
The prisoners are a pair of humans, one male, one female. If you guys wish to try and open the padlock, it will require a DC12 Dex WITH thieves tools. A sharp weapon will break it, it has an AC of 19 and 5hp.
OOC: ....and Luthien is effectively invisible in the dark, so darkness is her friend!
OOC: Dang, Luthien hasn’t dipped into Rogue class yet, so she has no lock picking skills or equipment. I’m thinking breaking the lock with a weapon would work, but make too much noise. Maybe we leave them in the cage for the time being, and come back and free them after we’ve cleared out the area of baddies?
Luthien whispers to the prisoners: “Shhhhhhhhhh, be quiet! I’ll get you out of here, but first, tell me of the bad ones who keep you locked up here. How many of them are there? And where are they now?”

Bjorn skitters across the ceiling to examine the cage door with her many eyes.
Perception 6
You notice nothing more than the fact you're in a cave, there's a cage door, and you're facing the completely wrong direction than everyone else.
I walk slowly into the room, being very careful....looking around as I go.
