"Well, it doesn't matter to me who uses the scroll. But we all need to come up with the plan," Lokilia says. "You two sort who will do it. But where? Is there a quiet spot near the Glinnick place?"
"Lokilia is right, Dev. You are more capable in this area, and we can be with you to a point. We have seen you change your appearance, that would be very useful here, as they know us and might already have found out what we did", Normont replies.
He then tries to think where they might go that would be safe to use the scroll but is within striking distance to Glinnick's store so they maximise their time there with the effects of the scroll.
(OOC: Need some help finding a place @DM. Where was Glinnick's again? Is there anywhere close Normont knows?)
( In the Common Ward. Theres an alley next to it that one of the doors exits into but you can likely conceal yourselves well enough in there to avoid casual observers.)
(OOC: I was thinking more along the lines of an inn or somewhere practical and indoors, because it is possible whoever uses the scroll will need to create a written copy of the papers before then scouting out Glinnick's. If not, the alley might have to do)
( There are residences to the rear, facing a parallel street, to the right and to the left across the alley......they may be amenable....there are other small shop fronts a little further down the street in both directions...)
"There are some shops and residences, but nothing like an inn where we could have privacy", Normont replies to Lokilia first.
He then turns to Dev, "If you think I am best, then I will use the scroll. If you have some blank pieces of paper, I could make a copy of what I see on it, that should only take me a few seconds depending on how many words are on the sheet. I might need to do it more than once, so perhaps have three pieces of paper ready in case. With it being that quick, perhaps we don't need an inn anyway".
"It is just a matter of how I can remain unseen outside Glinnick's now. And the timing. It would be great to use the scroll when there is a person of interest in view".
"I don't have any paper myself, sorry," Lokilia says. "Maybe even if we can just find an alley or alcove it will give us a place we can cast the spell initially. If Normont casts the spell, we can keep an eye out for when he goes to scout Glinnick's place."
“I can cast an illusion. Like a crate? Most people won’t be able to see into it. So that could give you some protection. And, a song to help concentrate!” Dev gives Normont bardic inspiration.
"Oh, I can also cast a spell that will help all of us move more stealthily, provided we stick together," Lokilia says as she suddenly remembers. (Pass without Trace)
"Ok, we have the foundations of a good plan. I think we have the stealth covered, Quinn. What I am less sure of is what happens if things go wrong, so having you close is good", Normont says.
"I wonder if we should wait for dusk, that will provide natural cover for us as well, but it won't protect them once I use the scroll. If we wait, we should lay low somewhere they wouldn't think to look for us".

(To clarify, Dev does this as Normont is about to “get to work” on the blank parchments.)
Normont looks to the sky, and sees where the sun, "Hm, it is a little too far from dusk to wait, I think. Shall we just go with what we have? With a stop for extra paper,".
If everyone agrees, he is happy to lead the others to an alley close to Glinnick's passing by a shop that sells paper, where he can use the scroll under the protection of Dev's illusory crate. Whether they then use Lokilia's pass without trace is up to her I think.

He looks to the others for ideas.
Dev opens his pack and examines his scroll case. He pulls out a piece of blank paper.
”Oh oh,” he groans, (my character sheet says) “I only have one piece. But I have ink and a quill”
(@Damian_May, is there someplace on the way where more paper could be purchased?)
