Side note, how are we handling feats? I've seen a couple of different rule options. The character sheet will let you take whatever you want, so I'm going with all of them unless we get further guidance 😜
Most of you will earn a Feat at fourth level as an optional choice instead of 2 points of stat bonuses. Trolkarl has one now since he is a variant human and gave up four points of stat bonuses on creation.
Gneuman rises from the ground and comes up swinging. The two remaining goblins are across the room, though. He moves close pulling out his sling and fires at Goblin 2. His stone catches the goblin in the head and drops him. It disappears like the others with a POP.
Hoid moves up and finishes the wounded goblin. It collapses and disappears with a loud POP.
All is quiet in the room. There is a slight dampness to the air with the freshness of a mountain stream. Gold and silver coins are piled on the landing in the center of the pond. Hoid has the large blue sapphire from the pile of treasure in his pouch.
Four statues sit equally spaced along the edge of the room. They are a large skull, an eagle appearing to land or grab something on the ground, an armored dwarf and a robed dwarf. All of the statues are facing the pool in the center of the room, are made of the same gray granite, and stand 5-6 feet tall. The pedestals they sit upon are a pink granite and there appears to be runes engraved on the face of the bases. Closer inspection shows the runes are written in Dwarfish. Also, each of the statues has a depression with facets on the forehead of each of the figures. The messages on the bases are:
Trolkarl stabilizes Gneuman and he recovers 1 hp. One of the archers continues fire at Hoid to no avail.
Chadwick is up.
(( It looks like Kragen has used his spells for the day already. ))
I'll move up to the archers and try and separate the left one's head from it's shoulders.
23 to hit and 5 damage.

Success! But, not complete. The goblin is badly wounded.
The second archer drops his bow and attacks Chadwick with its dagger. Chadwick’s armor is solid and blocks the blow.
Gneuman’s initiative
Ha ha, my armour is even thicker than my head!
Feats

Initiative is a bit lost.
Gneuman is up
(( Then Kragen -> Hoid -> Trolkarl ))
(( Goblin 1 has partial cover from ranged attacks. ))
Thanks for the medical attention!
I'll attack the closest goblin with staff.
9+5= 14...

To Hit = 13. Damage = 7
Gonlin 1 is undeterred and continues to fight.
Kragen will move to engage goblin archer 2 next to Chadwick. I assume this consumes the full turn?
Sling attack instead! 7+5 = 12.
(( I adjusted Gneuman’s move given the circumstances. Accurately, it looks like as well! ))
Gneuman drops the second goblin facing Chadwick. Kragen covers ground to the remaining archer.
Hoid is up.
Moved and rolled to hit. 23 to hit (18+5) and 8 damage (5+3).
Hoid moves up and finishes the wounded goblin. It collapses and disappears with a loud POP.

Skull - NOT
Eagle - A REWARD
Armored Dwarf - TAKEN
Robed Dwarf - EARNED
A Reward Earned Not Taken? Is there some symbology with each of the statues in that sentence?
A reward is earned, not taken. I put the gems and gold down. I will wait for my comrades at the door opposite the one we entered.
As you stand in the mouth of the hallway, you can perceive warmth coming from the hallway.
(( Hoid has unloaded his coins and the diamond and sapphire. ))
The orphans could have really used this, but I see your point. Chadwick puts his gold on the pile.
Should be rest up before going on? We have any healing left?
Short rest will get my self heal back. I believe spells are done until some sort of rest. I have not read up on spell rules.
A short rest would be good. I would like to recover spell(singular) and spend a hit die
