It is the early afternoon. Your ice raft gently shudders as its bottom scrapes solid ground, and the four of you gaze out across this more precipitous landscape. As per usual, everything is swallowed by the lingering mist. In the distance, something odd and unidentified glints in the light, beckoning you toward your destination - the Negbar Ruins.
Limping after Kaelroc, the red wolf cub growls as his feral eyes dart from crag to crag... something about this place has set him on edge.
With the better part of the day ahead, what is your plan?

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Mimzy stares off into the distance at the odd and unidentified glints in the light and turns to Mender, "I don't know... looks like pearls to me, a lot of them, real big ones too! You better go first."The Fairy suggests as she looks about nearby for that certain thing that's missing then turns to the pup and talks to it directly, "now you best be telling me if you hear or smell anything so don't be holding back, your part of the pack now."
Mender would position the fish in his net and slowly drag it through the shallow water before tossing it on to the shore. "So do we have a big lunch before we head I to the ruins?" Mender would ask as he sits on top of the fish and looks to the group
Here, there are finally some dry, rocky patches one could comfortably perch on to enjoy their afternoon meal. Are each of you settling down, and if so, how do you intend to cook this mammoth fish?

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Mimzy lends a hand with getting the fish prepped and cooked up and begins to gather up firewood as well as generally help out with whateverr Mender says he needs.
Mender would be happy to accept any assistance from Mimzy as he struggles to work with the massive fish. With her help he would drag it away from the water over to a relatively flat rock and begin to gut and fillet the fish. Using small fishing knife, he would quickly carve his way around the fish. A wide and genuine smile would spread across his face as he separated the good meat from the rest of the fish, tossing the scraps in a pile nearby for the pup to enjoy. This type of work was a big part of Mender's life not long ago and he enjoyed sharing it with anyone that showed interest. As he worked he would talk about different techniques for filleting and cooking fish... sharing tips he had learned over time, and showing Mimzy, Mugwort, and Kaelroc how his brother taught him how to process a fish when he was younger. When he got to the massive stomach of the fish, he would move it to the side and slice it open to see if there was anything interesting inside before chucking it into the refuse pile. While working, he would whisper a few words into his shell for guidance just to ensure that he doesn't ruin their catch as he works.
***Assuming Mimzy, Mugwort, kaelroc started a fire ***
Once he had cleaned the fish and prepared the meat, he would turn towards the freshly prepared fire. "Nice work! I think this will make for a nice lunch before we head into the ruins! I'm pretty good at catching and preparing the fish... but I'm not great at cooking it. I'll help to offer any guidance any way I can though!" He would add before moving to the rubbish pile. he would then collect the fish bones, scales, organs, and other leftover bits and move them a little farther away from camp in the hope that any creatures investigating the smell stop at the pile of fish parts and go no further...
Kaelroc looking at the presentation of everything reflects upon the many nights he has survived in the wilderness. He begins to cook the treat for everyone.

Mugwort steps gingerly past the cook fire as he worked the kinks out of his buttocks and thighs. Sitting on a stick for hours upon hours is not comfortable!
As part of his 'body stretching', he walks a circular path about 50 feet from the fire; taking in the landscape and trying to get a 'feel' for the area.
As the kobold fillets the fish, he notices that this creature's innards are abnormal: beneath the scales there are no bones, only cartilage 'rods' which extend from a rubbery head into the back and fins. Additionally, its flesh seems comprise of blubbery, tubular segments glued together by a white, lipid-like substance. Nonetheless, he discards the scales and inedible entrails a good distance from the camp while Kaelroc begins to cook on Mimzy's druidcraft campfire. The resulting meal certainly looks hearty and smells a little like sulfur. The cub whines in anticipation, drooling. Who is brave enough to take the first bite?

Mugwort...
You circumvent the camp. It is an arduous endeavor, and on several occasions you are forced to scale a boulder or leap across a steep ravine so as not to be lead too far away.
About half way around, something catches your eye...
A bloody spatter on the rocky ground, still wet, trails into a shady nook to your left. A soft pattering sound can be heard. Over the years, you have gathered tales of the large predators which allegedly roam this area - lynxes, wolves and worse - and are expecting to be met with the corpse of some unfortunate animal (or even humanoid, for some, such as goblins and gnomes, are just small enough to picked off with ease...).
Turning the corner, you hardly stifle a cry of surprise. A gigantic foot, large enough to have belonged to an ogre or hill giant, lies limply on the floor, torn from its body at the ankle. Fragmented bones are scattered all around, stained by the blood which drips from the walls and ceiling. Your eyes spot something smeared on the far wall...

Mender would be the first to grab a piece of cooked fish from the fire once Kaelroc says it is ready! His mouth would water as he shoves a piece in and chews it vigorously before swallowing it down.

Mimzy watches Mender closely as he begin to eat the fish giving it a few minutes and moves up closer to him... right up in face actually... and checks closely for any signs of burns, redness, or discoloration around his mouth and gum area in lieu of lips and even takes a whif of his breath Medicine16 and scratches her chin as she seems to mull something over in a very Fairy-like fashion, "let me know you start to feel a strange, woozy, or dizzy sensation... or experience burning stool? If you do, whatever you do, don't put water on it... your bum I mean unless you boil it first but any sort of alcohol will do."She instructed before flitting back over to fish and cutting herself off a fair Fairy-sized slab moving it lower into the fire to cook it a little longer... another fifteen or twenty minutes or so to blacken it up a little bit more before chancing a small taste.
I'll do a Constiution roll a bit later for Mimzy if needed after she samples a bite.
The fish tastes… strange, but not intolerably so. You do not feel any different upon consumption, and Mimzy’s quick scrutinizing glance is thorough enough to put her mind at ease - there are no side effects (at least, none as obvious nor exciting as burning excrement).

Mugwort looks at the carnage in the area as he takes out a charcoal stick and paper and copies the wall 'drawing'. If nothing else catches his attention, he will head back to 'camp' to report on what he has stumbled upon.
Mender would chew the fish, trying hard to make any faces that might cause Kaelroc to become upset. "Well.. that was.. different. I have eaten a lot of fish and that was.... Definitely different."The kobold would say before taking a drink from his waterskin. "It was cooked very well. You really did a good job Kaelroc. I think the fish is just.... not the best type of fish." He would add before taking another piece from the fire and putting it in his mouth. He would chew up up quickly before washing it down with another large gulp from his waterskin. "I wanted to see if maybe the first piece was just a fluke... but no... it all tastes like that..." He would say with a frown.
As soon as Mugwort enters came he walks up to Kaelroc and squats to examine K's feet. Looking this way and that; tilting his head like some crows or ravens tend to do as they work out the means to grab their food. Once satisfied, Mugwort will go sit by the campfire and poke at it with a stick while he works through his 'encounter'. He will also look at his sketch of the wall drawing and try to think if it triggers any memories or old 'guide' encounters.

Kaelroc declares: I like food. We can also press inwards a little so we are not right on the shore inviting all the water critters to land.

Kaelroc also would be eating it.
