Drix's eyes light up as the power floods into him for a few seconds and seem to fade as he pulls out a golden potion. It worked! He is entranced by the liquid for a few moments before he slides the bottle into his pouch "As the great hero Tayvat would say; 'those who seek will find'" Drix says, quoting one of his favorite characters in a popular play.
"Now we head to the café, where our next treasure waits!" Drix points towards the location of the café, and heads onwards with the rest of the group.
Edit: OOC: Forgot to mention this, but the change in font color is because two other players are using blue for their characters, and I wanted Drix's text to stand out.
Answering the kobold, Drix says "He'sa traditional hero in a favorite play of mine who opens the play by defeating a dragon who has is the tyrannical ruler of his city. The city immediately chooses him to replace the dragon as ruler, Tayvat is a good man, but he quickly proves to be a poor ruler and Tayvat's city quickly collapses on itself and he ends up hurting the city more than the dragon ever could. He was definitely wise in some ways. I don't know if you wanted to hear all of that, but I find him to be pretty fascinating."
Velius, sipping his healing potion feels slightly invigorated after it, he notices that the potion tastes like cough syrup with a spoonful of sugar.
(Most people usually know what healing potions usually look like)
As it your group enters the cafeteria they can see that one wall of this area is covered with a mural made from a living tree’s roots, which move occasionally and make the entire place feel alive. The ceiling is covered in painted leaves, which change colors depending on the season thanks to a permanent illusion effect. The magic also prompts painted squirrels to run up and down the mural’s roots, and painted birds to chirp among the leaves.
Multiple students are lounging eating snacks and drinking the only staff person present is Aisla Fitzbottom, the café manager.
Yvas clutches his head temporarily suffering amnesia from old age. "What are we doing here?"
OOC, in reply to Wysperra, in spoiler because it's long:
It's not cheating to be smart. My character has intellect beyond human limits, and the clues are so easy. Let me give you a simplified explanation.
Sure. It's just that the locations were obvious to me, although it was a little more tricky debating if clue 1 was real light or "removing dark thoughts" kind of light as it said trouble, so maybe counseling center. Where would you possibly get a treat for free? A staff member. Is there anything else to do here? No. Did the DM specifically mention the presence of the staff member? Yes. And so it's more useful to be on the good side of someone obviously involved, hence me asking if she wants help. The clue said we should get a treat, so of course get it from a staff member. But this would be boring if the clue was just "buy a treat". And it's better to avoid her tricking us and taking time, so I claim I know it as a fact so she gets to the point. My character is supposed to be intelligent, as he's been training his entire life just to find this place, one who could easily roll intelligence check that are both really high and use the spell guidance every time. It takes 6 seconds to cast. And I don't have access to a strixhaven book, I can't even get my free trial. My dnd character, according to direct game rules, has intelligence beyond real human limits, 18. I don't want both me and my character to suffer amnesia for the sake of this campaign. But so be it, I'll make both him and me superhumanly stupid to cancel it out. This is in character in the way that my character literally lost his soul to a demon and becomes impatient with such things. That's just the character I was chosen to be in this campaign, DM could have just not chosen me. I hate constantly being told to not try harder simply because I figure things out faster than others, which still no one ever views as a good thing. How about this; This has all been very obvious to me, but my help is not appreciated. So how about Yvas trails along and has flashbacks of the wizard who rejected him for 59 years. I will note that if Yvas can't do this right, he's 77 and will die soon, and if he dies he belongs to the demon he traded his soul to. He's determined to do this right and with his intelligence beyond human limits and the fact that this is extremely easy for me AND the whole backstory (despite being rejected every time I get in role, or whole groups of people calling me "difficult" because I slightly misunderstood a vague post in a forum game (which happened yesterday)) nothing is stopping me from actually trying in this game. But if you want me to completely break my character straight-to-the-point personality, sure. I'm not reading the adventure, it would be stupid if I were because there's no point in doing a scavenger hunt if I now where everything is (which I figured out with the most basic of logic, especially because the OOC thread in private messages had a labeled map, making it easier.) and how could you really know unless you're just jumping to conclusions about me or read it yourself? And if you've played before, then it wouldn't be "spoilers", so the blame is not on me of all people, but rather on ________ (I'll let you fill that in in your mind). Just because I know what I'm doing doesn't mean I'm cheating, which you should really understand if you don't want me to write yet another explanation post, or color code and take notes on previous posts like I did yesterday due to people's lack of understanding. There is a difference between cheating and trying to play without being hunted down by the other players. If you want me to not try at all, then sure, but you still won't be satisfied. The world expects too much out of me that I can't handle. Either people ignore me (which is almost everyone just because I pay attention rather than interrupt people in obnoxious ways) or they see that I'm too bright and ignore me again because they prefer their friends at their level. I don't have to be insulted. Everyone knows that I fail at athletics, anything requiring me to breath well, any sort of performance (which requires me to breathe well), anything requiring flexibility (back pain), and I'm losing my will to try to learn anything. That's why I'm doing dnd, I can finally do something without having to be stereotyped. Wrong. I get to be my character rather than me, and yet I'm still attacked as my character. So what do you want me to do, not try? I guess so, and I'll gladly do so, if I'm hated either way might as well not put in the effort. Just watch your wording (and language, if you want I can send you links to you swearing) before you try to prove something.
ps. Yvas is now suffering extreme Amnesia from his old age. He forgets what his own name is. Congratulations! I won't have to ruin this campaign for you with my extreme lack of help!
pps. Don't worry, as long as I don't have direct clues I shouldn't be too overpowering. This was just easy with the clues telling me exactly what to do. I'm just good with clues, Shakespeare and the book of Isaiah in the bible make sense to me, I'm a literature guy. I'll cool down soon. Until combat, at least.
Theodore finds the cafe fascinating. Hopefully students eat for free, otherwise he'd have to find a source of funds. Following the horse kid he hands over his list of clues.
While waiting he looks over the menu if there is one.

Velius hands over his clue list, then takes a coin out of his pocket. he weighs it in his hand, his thumb tracing the engraving.
