As he dashes towards the secret door leading into the Naga's lair, Theldrin grabs his healing potion from the pocket on the side of his pack and drinks it.
Nithrissa doesn't remember seeing any other being in the naga's sanctum. (And yes she can have Hellish Resistance. Also, Liarin and Asclepius wouldn't have been able to attack due to Misty Step, but they certainly can move into the hall.
The naga smiles as you all run up and utters one word, "Fools" She then unleashes the spell Lightning Bolt.
Everyone but Nithrissa makes a DC 14 DEX Save, taking 27 Lightning Damage on a fail, half that on a success.
The burst of Lightning thunders out from the naga, ripping through your party. Those of you still standing look around to see Toska standing in the Altar of Evil behind you, a hole in her chest. She looks down at the hole then back up at the others still up, "Lord of the Cudgel." She weakly exclaims as she collapses to the ground dead.
(OOC: I was going to say that Avery, Liarin, and Xanrym should get an extra +1d4 on their saving throw from Bless, but it looks like it wouldn't help Avery, and Liarin and Xanrym already passed.
Toska is dead, so Bless is no longer in effect after the naga's turn.
Xanrym - to maintain concentration, DC 10 CON save: 12 (in game log).
)
Xanrym was already trying to avoid stepping on Asclepius's tail, so he wasn't walking in the center of the secret tunnel. He manages to flatten himself against the tunnel wall, avoiding the full force of the lighting bolt and is therefore able to maintain concentration his concentration on Calm Emotions.
Xanrym would like to taunt the naga or otherwise answer her words, but his ears are still ringing from the lightning bolt! He thinks he saw Avery drop to the ground: the knight was right in front of the naga and must have received the full brunt of the lightning. But still, the naga was looking injured. They still have a chance if they strike quickly, before the naga can cast another spell. Spotting Avery's body in front of the naga, Xanrym calls out a healing spell. Then he shouts, "Finish her now!", encouraging (begging?) his companions to act quickly.
Finally, he raises his crossbow to fire over Liarin's head at the naga before ducking back through the secret door and out of sight. He knows that it's critical for him to maintain concentration on Calm Emotions, and he doesn't want to give the naga another opportunity to catch the whole group with a damaging spell.

Theldrin gasps as he sees Toska fall, but tries to remain calm, remembering his training. His mind races as he considers options... he's tempted to move up and attempt to blind the Naga but doesn't feel confident she wouldn't easily resist the spell. Quikcly deciding to send rays of fire beaming towards the Naga, he then steps around the corner out of her view.

[[Okay, it's my fault as I forgot about the 10 foot scale, but I would NOT have done what i did if I had realized. I'm posting what happens assuming drumdigby will not consider making a few modifications based on the fact that my actions were invalidated. The spoiler contains the modifications I would ask for. Even without that, Liarin had 50 ft. of movement, so she should only be one square, or 10 ft away, one square behind Avery.]]
Liarin chuckles to herself, feeling chastened at her foolhardiness in leading them all into one of the most basic types of traps. Closing in on the serpents side, Liarin uses her primal instincts to coordinate with Avery to aid in sinking her teeth into the naga.
Move: immediately to Avery's left. No BA. Attack: 18 Damage: 14
Asclepius- Move: 5 ft. behind Avery Bite Attack: 17 Damage: 8 [[12 for advantage if Liarin knocked the naga prone]]
I wouldn't have dismissed the Flaming sphere if no one would be in melee with it until after its next turn. I would have waited until Avery or Nithrissa approached and dismissed it then, as it doesn't take an action. The naga should save vs. the 2d6 fire damage. After careful consideration, there honestly wouldn't be any other tactical differences by the end of my turn this round.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: I expect that Avery and Asclepius hit even if the naga uses Shield again. I was waiting to post for Nithrissa because I preferred for the party to take down the naga, but I'll post her attacks in case the naga still isn't dead.)
Round 4: Nithrissa
Nithrissa dashed into the naga's lair and to the right, behind the column. She's grateful that she did when the naga laughs and a brilliant flash blinds her for a moment. She blinks her eyes and wrinkles her nose at the smell of ozone. Nithrissa wonders briefly whether she'll find herself alone with a very angry naga, and she's amazed to see the group that rescued her is still fighting! Avery gets up off the ground to swing his sword at the naga, and the big wolf and giant snake rush up to attack. Nithrissa pivots around the column and attacks the naga if it's not already dead.
The naga's smile fades as you all recover from her assault, she screams, "NO! It cannot be! I am his consort! His chosen!" As you all surround her and hack at her. It's hard to tell who gave the killing blow as you all desperately slice into her. But you hear her scream, unnaturally loud in this underground cave, pillars holding up the roof. And she finally falls down dead. Her large body slowly rolling into the water. Explictica Defilus is dead.
From far off in the dungeon to the east you hear the clatter of footsteps and howling. Something comes from the east... Lot's of somethings.
Something comes from the east... Lot's of somethings.
(OOC: From the east??? Footsteps? Looking at the map, it looks like we killed the naga on a narrow piece of dry land at the end of a larger underground lake. Do you mean that the sounds are coming from somewhere across the lake to the east? Or did you mean from some other direction?)
Xanrym peeks down the secret tunnel just in time to see Explicita Defilus fall to the ground and slide into the lake. He dashes through the secret tunnel, and briefly says, "Huzzah! Our jouney's end: the goal achieved!" But then he hears the rumor of creatures approaching from the west .
Xanrym takes a quick look around the little spot of dry land. Is there any obvious treasure here? A pile of coins? A chest? The skeletons of past victims still wearing their gear?
(OOC: Not really taking time to do a search or look for anything hidden. Just looking whether we'd be leaving behind a pile of treasure if we fled back through the secret door or whether there's a simple treasure chest that we can grab and take with us.)
Theldrin feels a wave of elation as he hears the news that the Naga has been slain, but his eye soon turns towards Toska's body. A single tear slides down his cheek as he thinks to himself, "She shouldn't have even been here... I could have done more to protect her." He sighs and wipes the tear away, then moves through the tunnel to join the others.
