Thank you! I missed the fact that failed treasure checks increase the encounter rate. Given the fact that only Axel, Doc, and Khabibulin have 4+ modifiers to find treasure we should probably skip treasure hunting for now.

So it's than the group makes it's way back to Eckerman Mill. Passing through Shepard's way to save the most time. The haze is rather thick as they all keep an eye and an ear out.
Passing through in the fog, they can see attempting to surround them are shadowed figures. Figures that come to light once close enough, everyone is able to see them. (They rolled poor on stealth and only got as close as they did cause they can see through haze.)
Baldri even see's them so soon the party can get in formation and if they wish back up enough to avoid being surrounded by.. Whatever these things were. They don't seem to see Avery (Avery can get a free attack/turn before battle.)
Coming forth are nine.. Animal like creatures on two legs.. Larger than ratlings and many of them are canine in nature but a few of them appear hyena like. Even the hyena like ones have a few.. Canine like features. They stand on two legs with various rusted weapons and the like, teeth bared and giggling among themselves. They have one creature on all fours, more bestial with nary a giggle as it stares directly to the party.. Ravenous.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Some of these creatures have bows one has a heavy crossbow (number 2 and to add what they seem to have in the picture they have. If you any questions feel free to ask!)
Some are using scraps of armor and a shield one is holding a spear, some aren't holding really anything. A few have on them decent longswords.. probably stolen from adventurers most likely. Though they don't seem to be have succeeded in surrounding the party they seem more than eager.. And ready to strike forth hard.
OOC Roll me initiative! And Avery for you're nat 20 stealth you get one free attack/turn before the battle ^^

Treasure checks only do if you gain failures for them.
And slow rate does and fast rate does as well.
And for Avery since they have not rolled yet.
I rolled Stealth for Avery unless he beats me by the time of this post.
I rolled a nat 20 for him though for 24 so nice!
