This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The shot misses the creature as they begin to run down the street.
OOC Everyone else gets a turn but on the Owlbear this thing is.. FAR. If you read the token it's an additional 60FT off the map.
Axel's the only somewhat close one and is losing distance himself slowly.
I can wait and see if the others have a move but if not I can leave it to Axel here.
On it's turn I'm gonna have it roll stealth to hide down the street after moving 30 feet.
If it rolls Axel's passive perception or lower.. I will allow Mikey1000 to simply post he hunts down the creature and kills it to avoid a drawn out cat and mouse game.
OOC I'd say since he gave chase early enough in the encounter he can have one perception check (I know takes an action in a combat but might as well give him a shot!)
Axel finds a heavy crossbow, a longsword and a shield. Two longbows as well but the scraps of armor they used were just that.. Scraps really. Doc see's in the pouch... an ointment and it appears to be unused though covered in blood. Next to that ointment is a scroll with the symbol of the Sacred Flame upon it. Spirit Guardians.
Through much trial and tribulation the party is able to find themselves back at the Eckerman Mill. Though worse for wear... They now had a powerful scroll and some rather useful ointment. Sadly however they hadn't much else to show for the days harsh dangers.
OOC It's a restorative ointment with all 5 of it's charges (Lucky!)
And a spell scroll with spirit guardians ^^
The scrolls properties are unique and use you're own spell save DC. And.. if a martial uses it the spell save DC is 12 BUT they get advantage on saving throws to maintain concentration.
Even by in world it's a strange scroll to be used by those without any magic. I'd say after resting at least an hour at the Mill they can determine these properties if looked upon. (Which I know Doc would)
Doc takes the shield, identifies the items through ritual casting, then uses rest-casting to create 20 goodberries an hour before they finish their long rest.

There are many old campsites here at the Mill as many adventurers come and go, resting here however seems safe enough. Upon the Mill itself... several adventurers have written many rumors and tips. One could spend their downtime examining these and even take the time to write some tips themselves! It's a sorta... open forum to help out the common man.
Also it seems many adventurers have written their names here, writing you're name is a sign another able body is fighting the horrors of Drakkenheim. Seeing more names gives people hope and faith that the beast in Drakkenheim can be subdued, they too could write their own names. However.. many names have been crossed off here as well.
OOC As for food they while they rest they can use one ration each or a goodberry each. (Taking 6 berry's if that route) And using your water skin as the drann river here has no clean water.
"Anyone actually recognize any of the names?" While in the mill, as he always does, he scrolls thirough the names on the wall, looking for new names but also notes the crossed out one's as well.
* OOC Correction - Doc uses arcane recovery and produces 30 goodberries using rest-casting. Remember to refresh your abilities and spell slots on your character sheets!*
Doc readies himself and his gear to return to the rat warren at normal pace. Perception:15

It would take quite some time to view every name on the massive mill. But as the names he can see tonight nothing of interest exactly calls out to him. Maybe a few names belong to the Silver Order he's heard in passing.
OOC All right don't forget to remove one berry per person except Baldri. Baldri just needs to remove one ration they will need water soon for sure! ^^
Also give Axel a D10 inspiration for scratching his name into the wall.
I shall roll for them heading to the Rat's Nest Tavern if that's what they all are ready to do!

Axel looks the area over for any signs of the last creature. perception 17
With that the battle comes to a decisive close, with one of these wounded creatures escaping and the rest... Soundly beaten.
It seems that one of them is carrying a pouch, something aside from the rotting meat they carry and spoiled ale.

Axel will search the creatures for any useful weapons, extra arrows.
Doc checks the pouch.

I think Baldri's DC on the Spirit Guardians spell would be 13, FYI.
*OOC but with this scroll we could have 2 spirit guardians for twice the fun! :)*
