The 'night' is long for the party. Time does not shift, light does not shape or flex. There is neither sun nor moon. Yet they sleep, deep, warm and content. Their bellies are filled, and they are at peace. Even Asher finds it hard to stay awake, the call to slumber a strong one. He does his best to stay alert, though in the end sleep takes him too. Thankfully, nothing seems to have happened in the night.
When all awaken the next morning, they find themselves well rested and ready to brave the tiresome bog. Sceilie even gives Lelantus pointers on his bracelet, helping him to expertly weave the fibrous vines over and through each other. The fire burns low, but has lasted through the night. Small comforts, at least. Though, perhaps the act of drifting asleep while on watch isn't the best of comforts to retain.
Asher awakens from his slumber with a start and looks around noticing the calm in the camp . He is mortified to have fallen asleep on watch and busy himself with tideing up the camp before the others wake
Lelantus wakes calmly and takes stock of his... situation. It appears that since he fell asleep on thauxs tail during the night he started cuddling it like a teddy bear. To move would be to wake thaux and thaux absolutely needs his sleep after what he just went through so lelantus starts trying to get out as gently as possible.
Korbiña stretches, noticing nearly everyone is awake. She looks around, rubbing her eyes... "how much time has passed? I feel strange... not quite awake, not really sleepy..." she looks over to Asher, then sighs a bit... climbs out of the bedroll, walking over to Sceilie to give her a peck on the forehead, then ptoceeds to cook dome tea for breakfast.
"It's strange... the fire has not burt down, so we can't have slept more than maybe two hours, but I feel ok... oh well... maybe it will hit me later..." she laughs
The two reptiles of the group have yet to stir, but after so harrowing a day, surely they have reason to sleep in. Putrid humidity fills all but the cozy area around the fire. The stench of the bog is still prominent, though after sleeping through it, surely the smell is subsided to the party...
...Urk. No, no it has not. That particularly staunch odor is still very present. Still, upon waking, the party finds itself feeling warm and heavy, as if waking from a long sleep. Perhaps the feeling will subside with time...?
He barely steps foot outside the hollow before he finds fresh dry twigs and grass galore. It's enough to keep the flames high and the camp dry for days.
Korbiña begins to prepare a basic breakfast from the ration packs once the tea is ready, and while waiting for the breakfast soup to finish, takes a look at the compass, and also looks around for possible routes to proceed and get out of this swamp...
Perhaps the Halfling's realized he has the tool for this job now, or perhaps he has a different motive. Either way, it's certainly an interesting means to test his skills.
Thaux shakes his head in confusion and looks around to assess his surroundings (OOC: let's just say he zoned out)
It's strange, however. Now matter how much the lizard seems to try to shake himself awake, he cannot help but see lights dancing before his eyes. It's not blinding, just irritating.

[Long Rest for all.]

Lelantus will once again go to find firewood
[No roll this time]
He barely steps foot outside the hollow before he finds fresh dry twigs and grass galore.
The compass spins endlessly, something it wasn't doing yesterday. The letters are also... blurry?
" hey korbina do you still have that chest?"
"Sure. You want to give it a go, Lelantus?"
She gets the chest out of her backpack and places it in fromt of her after turning around to Lelantus.
Then stows away the compass "Strange... the compass isn't working anymore... yesterday it was working neatly..."
Lelantus walks over and picks up the box
Perhaps the Halfling's realized he has the tool for this job now, or perhaps he has a different motive. Either way, it's certainly an interesting means to test his skills.
Korbiña holds Sceilie in her embrace as she watches Lelantus working on the box...
Asher watches as well wracking his brain for any memory of knowledge that might help
Thaux shakes his head in confusion and looks around to assess his surroundings (OOC: let's just say he zoned out)
Korbiña looks up at them, then specifically at Thaux...
"Thaux, are you ok? You look like you're in a kind of deliruim"
It's strange, however. Now matter how much the lizard seems to try to shake himself awake, he cannot help but see lights dancing before his eyes. It's not blinding, just irritating.
But Sceilie remains asleep, calming gentle breaths lapping at Korbiña's forearm. The smile on her face is that of peaceful respite.
