Yeah, that wasn't the problem. I can't get onto the map for some reason. I'll do some troubleshooting tomorrow in the morning. I will say that I have had a lot of luck with https://www.owlbear.rodeo/ it is magically easy to work with. Not to speak ill of our landlords here at DNDBeyond. Looking forward to playing. I'm already excited about the rivalry that I am sure that my character will have with the other town smithy. I run a lot of after school games with kids...summer camps...things like that. I'm super excited about doing some legit roleplaying. It is my favorite.
Alright, gang. Thank you for bearing with me through that map business.
Character sheets have been reviewed and if I have a question / observation / request ... I will hit you up via PM.
For the folks that are new-ish to PbP, my goal will be to post at least 2-3 times per week. I find that posting more frequently than that pretty quickly leads to player burnout and folks feeling as if the story has left them in the dust.
I'll have an introductory post up later this morning.

Made a slight edit to the description of West Haven on the campaign page.
[We have a sailor in the adventuring party after all!]
Nestled at the edge of a dense forest and overlooking a tranquil river that spills into the sea, West Haven is a small coastal frontier town built around a sturdy stone keep. The town serves as a safe haven for adventurers venturing into the untamed wilderness that surrounds it. Despite its modest size, West Haven boasts a diverse population of traders, mercenaries, scholars, and other colorful characters drawn to the opportunities and mysteries of the frontier.
Do you have any special format you want us to post in, italics for X, Bold for Y, etc?
Not that I am going to require. I will typically use bold font to denote speech. Some folks like choosing a color for their character. If you do, great, but I won't require it. Italics can be used to denote an inner monologue.
Example: "Holy cow!" He said. I wonder what in the Nine Hells is going on here? He thought.
Other than that, I'm not too much of a grammar goon ... as long as we remember to hit the space bar once in a while. I find it grating on the eye to read a 400-word stream of consciousness that has no space between what should be paragraphs.
If we try to shoot for 3rd person, past tense in our posts, I would appreciate it. But I'm not too much of a stickler for that.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When it comes to rolls made in the IC, please remember to label them in some way.
Like so:
Attack the goblin. Attack: 11 Damage: 3
Wisdom save. 10
Just remember ... the die roller can be very finicky when it comes to posts that are adjusted after the roll is made. It will trigger one of those 'These die rolls may have been altered' messages. So, knowing that, for any posts that contain rolls ... I'd like them to be left unmodified.
I don't mind if some minor, post-related OOC creeps into the IC thread. Sometimes it just makes sense to call attention to the game action you intend to take (if it is not completely obvious from the body of the post). But let's tuck that stuff at the end of the post and use orange.
...
Example: "Holy cow!" He said. I wonder what in the Nine Hells is going on here? He thought.
OOC — I would like to ready a crossbow attack to be fired at the first creature that pops out of the sewer grate.
...
On the flip side of that, if the entirety of the post would be OOC ... then the IC thread is not the place for it.
Since this is a West Marches-style campaign, being in West Haven would normally be a space free from encounters and such.
The town in these sorts of games serves as a respite from adventuring in the dangerous wilderness. A base of operations from which to launch expeditions. A place to buy supplies, sell treasure and determine what next steps will be taken.
However, since this is the opening scene of the game, and we need a bit of an inciting incident to draw all of the characters together ... I would like to open with an encounter.
Yeah, it looks like we can do a lot of things, but it looks intentional. I can't do anything game breaking, like remove the fog.
I'm having a bit of a problem with the map feature. I'll try a different browser and see if that helps out.

Cheers to all!
The map wasn't working for me, but now that I've refreshed this page and refreshed the map it worked.

Yup, consider it a shakedown cruise of sorts.
Also, can you put the link to the OOC and the IC chat into the campaign description?
