Goradus stands up. "Alright! Now that we've found shelter for the night, I'll find some firewood, then we can light it up with some magic and have some warmth for the night." He rubs his hands together. "I'll be right back." He ventures away from the safety of the shelter to find the party some firewood.
Survival: 4+3=7
(OOC: ouch...)
Goradus finds no wood, nor anything to start a fire.
Goradus sighs. This big area and no wood in sight? He's reluctant to return to the party with empty hands, but he can't really avoid that without any firewood. He returns to the shelter. "Well, I couldn't find any wood. I guess for now we'll just have to be in the cold, unless if someone else wants to search."

OOC: I’ve made a build designed for spamming melee sneak attack, so if I’m away in combat, make shade attack the weakest creatures first with his rapier and then you fancy footwork to run away without provoking opportunity attacks and then bonus action hide (+8 stealth), then repeat the same thing on his next turn.
OOC: You play rogues often?
Yes, Rogue is my favourite class - but this my first time playing the swashbuckler archetype though

My titles are the great Silver Dragon Lord of the Sky, Second in Command of the Dragon Cult, High Warlock of Cynophobia, High Cultist of Jeff, The Lightning Mage. I’m a ✨Chronically online teenage boy✨, and one of the most active posters on the forums (MORE THAN SALEM AND GONZALO). Always open to talk if you’d like to shoot me a PM! Please don’t hesitate to tell me I’m being a jerk or overbearing, I love helpful feedback! Love y’all!
OOC: I realise we didn't say how long each watch would be. If each watch is two hours, we can cover a long rest between four of us (or three, if Shade is happy to go two watches back-to-back). I think we're doing that?

Long Rest
A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as reading, talking, eating, or standing watch. If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity — at least 1 hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring activity — the characters must begin the rest again to gain any benefit from it.
Trance. Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

Current Character(s): Marcon Domine level 2 monk in Lost Mine of Phandelver
Current Campaigns: Icewind Dale: Rime Of the Frostmaiden, Princes of the Apocalypse
Four things I hate in D&D: People who think the tarasque is the most powerful (an empyrean or kraken can beat it), players trying to seduce bad guys (it's funny though), when a monster roles a NAT 20 (everyone hates that), rolling a NAT 1 (everyone hates that)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bet.
The party wakes up after a good night's sleep. They each eat the berries that Krissa found and some of their rations (minus one ration for everyone).

Random encounter (after much consideration, I've decided to allow you to see the roll that determine whether or not there is a random encounter. DM transparency is important, yk?): 19

As the party is getting ready to leave their campsite, 2 aarakocra scouts land in front of them. After a brief interrogation, they leave, coming to the conclusion that the party is not dangerous.
