"Cat? Cat? Did you just call me a... oh, yeah, hehehe. Oy, they took all of my stuff, Deee-arg. Normally I could just put my hood up in a place like thisss, but I don't even have my cloak. I don't have my arcane focus either, so my magic doesn't seem to be working! They even took my shawm, so I cannot play you a tune, eh, and worst of all, Deeee-arg, they took my bell and my string! What monster's would take one's bell and string?! How am I to do this tasssk they have for us, eh?!" Jasper looks truly dejected as he thinks of the loss of his belongings and his magic. "Maybe we need to steal me a cloak, eh?" Jasper looks around for anything of the sort he could steal, whether it be from a vendor, just inside a window or door, or otherwise.
Perception on cloak or other items of concealment to steal: 11
OOC Having their stuff taken away actually is a great excuse for Jasper not to use any magic in character until I actually get it starting at level 3 for arcane trickster. I prefer this over saying he suddenly learns magic at level 3 kind of out of nowhere. He had it where he came from in the Feywild, but now has to deal without it for a little bit. Even if he can get some spell components or a new focus before then, I'll just RP that he is still getting attuned to it until 3.
Finally got around to editing my gear list appropriately. I saved the original starting list just in case they can get their personal stuff back. Not much of it is all that personal to him, although he'd like his instrument back and the item or two from his background. If not, he'll have to steal a better shawm! ;)

"Pssst, Deeee-arg, Deeee-arg, look, free cloaks!" Jasper signals towards the window. "Be right back, keep an eye out, yes?"
Jasper will scamper over towards the window, hoping Deearg is watching his back for trouble. He'll climb up to the windowsill, digging his cat's claws into the wood (or mortar), and pause for a moment to look and listen for anyone who may be watching. If the coast is clear he'll snatch whichever robe looks more appropriate for his long, lanky frame.
Stealth: 16
Perception for trouble / the best time to snatch it: 21
I would also like to grab a robe or shirt to hide that I'm wearing armor. I would also like to grab some rags to wrap around our wrists to cover up the silver bangle. Since this place is right next to a river would you say the streets have a light fog? If they do I would like to use my Mask of the Wild and take to the streets until we get closer.

You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

I'm game, could be fun. I've actually never done a skill challenge. This could be rough as the odds of most lvl 1 characters rolling 15+ the majority of the time are probably low. Expertise may carry the day, however.
Looked through the list and the only skills I think that would get used here are Perception, Acrobatics, and Stealth so I'll just find 8 reasons to use those. Actually, I'll throw in a Sleight of Hand to mix it up as the greedy Tabaxi might grab some coin or valuables from the easiest mark on his way through. Here goes...
24 Perception (on guard rotation and any watchful eyes, to find the best time to come down from the roof into an alley)
16 Stealth (to come down from the roof without making a racket)
25 Acrobatics (to not screw up coming down, although Jasper has an official climbing speed as a mode of travel, so probably not needed, but oh well...)
14 Perception (to enter the square looking for anyone's gaze or the next guards to pass by)
15 Stealth (to keep his tabaxi features covered and succeed in avoiding the eyes of others or guards as mentioned above and move into the Wench through the front door)
26 Acrobatics (to weave through the crowd without bumping into anyone, potentially revealing himself by accident)
6 Sleight of Hand (to nab some coin or other valuable from the easiest sucker in the crowd)
5 Perception (to watch for Dearg and keep an eye on where he is at, making sure he doesn't run into trouble)
Dearg attempts to fade into the mist and crowd flowing along the streets. Stealth: 14 He finds a somewhat packed group of people heading through the gates and pushes his way into their midst. Athletics: 4 As he passes the guards and they question the people passing through he feints a similar reason to those around him. Deception: 6
Unable to get much into the group he is pushed close to the guard coming under close scrutiny and his lie is further questioned by the guards. He feints getting pushed and rolls through the crowd trying to disappear from the guard. Acrobatics: 19 Needing a distraction for the guards he scans the crowd trying to find a natural bully. Perception: 14 Dearg attempts to trip a passerby into falling into the bully. Sleight of Hand: 12
Not trying to be caught further he again tries to disappear among the crowd and fog. Stealth: 17

He tries to quickly navigate the streets to find the Salty Wench. Survival: 9 He has found it he slips away to the river entrance to avoid any watching eyes at the front door. Stealth: 17 Athletics: 22
He slips into the river with an audible splash where he quickly tries to find and enter the river entrance: Perception: 10 Athletics: 5
Jasper nods at the barkeep from underneath his newly acquired hooded cloak. His lanky figure makes its way over to a soaking wet Dearg. He whispers "have a little swim, eh, frieeend? hehehe" "I like the front door better. Not much of a swimmer, you see." He pauses and visibly shudders at the thought of it. "Ok where's your friend the bloody wench, or whatever her name is?"
Jasper moves over to the bar and leans in close to the bartender. He grabs the tankard and casually says "yeah, what he said" as he winks at the bartender and chugs the ale. He drops two silver on the counter as if he's splashing the pot in a poker game to cover the drink and then some, then looks the bartender right in the eye. He looks down at the bowl of milk behind the bar and back into the eyes of the man again. One clawed finger next to the tankard curls upwards several times, beckoning the man to give him the milk, but be subtle about it. At that Jasper turns his back to lean against the bar and survey the room waiting to find out who their contact might be, listening for the sound of the milk to be placed behind him. He waits patiently for Dearg to look away before turning and swiftly downing the milk, licking his lips and whiskers to finish it off.
"Yeah, Deee-arg, pay attention, it's TO-BI-AS," says Jasper in a scolding manner. He turns away but his trademark "hehehehehe" is obvious enough.
Jasper whispers to the bartender. "Thanksss, but what about this 'blood drinker' guy my, ah, colleague here mentioned, eh? What do you know about him?"
Later, when there is a moment, Jasper will ask "ah, by the way, but how much for this food and drink, eh? I'm a little, ah, 'light', at the moment, you could say."

"Ahhh, much better. I am ready now, Deee-arg. Where to?" Jasper pulls a cloak around him, covering as much of his tail, limbs, and face as he can.
Aha, fixed it.

Dearg will ignore the tankard having recently swallowed a deal of foul river water.
"Where can we find Toby sir? And is there anything you know to be true about Mord the Bloodthirsty?"
