“We are few in number but great in strength and honor.” The half orc declares in goblin and then again in common. “But even as we are stong, we seek the wisdom and aid of the mighty Batiri. We ask your forgiveness in disturbing your sacred ants and your home.”
”I am called, Sparhawk, but in goblin, I have been called He who defies death, savior of the daughter and slayer of the king, Rex. Once a chieftain called me Greck, which I believe translated to ugly nose?” He smiles as he tries to break the tension
The goblins chatter among themselves, gesturing and pointing at one another. Looking closely, you can see that rhey are holding up different numbers if fingers as they squabble.
From behind you a goblin calls clearly "FOUR!" (In goblin). A gravely voice belonging to an older female goblin calls back from somewhere unseen at the far side if the village (again in goblin) "they brought stuff. Take it and feed them to the ants!"
At this, a flurry if activity ensues. From stock still the goblins begin scurrying snd hurrying, sorting themselves with practiced ease. Smaller goblins flee to the huts, while some run I to the jungle and other begin to stack themselves into tiny totem-poles of chaotic vitriol, wooden masks and spears.
"Attack!" The ants dutifully descend on the group as well, ignoring their goblin masters.
There are six ant swarms (2 per mound) and more than twenty goblins.
Back to the top of initiative, Gell and Cha!jil are up.
Cha!jil shrugged, " Yep, this is what they're like...."
Unable to reach anyone else and knowing her strikes mostly just scattered the ants she headed north-west to the lone goblin there and introduced herself.
All of Cha!jil and Gell's attacks miss the shockingly nimble goblins. Their odd gate, stacked as rhey are, making their movements harder to predict - like a moth.
<wasn't sure if Gell was attacking a goblin or an Ant swarms, but it misses either way>
<I thought Ch! Was already raging, because the reduced damage?>
"The Biting Ant tribes fear not the frig nor the crab, nor even the mighty sharptooth. We heed the word of but one Queen: Grabstab!" A random goblin calls in reply to the I traders words.
<they're not wrong, though: what they have is worth more than anything you have, so if they guessed this, they guessed rigth. Best case scenario for them: take your stuff and keep theirs. Worst case scenario they think might actually happen: they lose the stuff you were going to take anyway and don't get whatever you would have given them. It's the Law of the Jungle>.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Put your spoiler hereNew game, so I wanted to let you know that I count active skill checks that can grant a bonus as bonus actions: i.e. recalling some religious icon (religion), identifying a fungus (Survival). Thus rule varies from popular opinion, and the general is pretty vague about it. I consider it an exchange of verisimilitude for what I think is a better game experience, and thst is my goal, so if it can give you a bonus, jts a bonus acrion. If it wasn't clear, this is me trying to encourage you to do this, but also making it clear it has a cost, if you had anything else to do with your BA).

"Yes Ca!jil, I figured as much. Stick near each other so we can protect each other" Sparhawk says, clear disappointment on his face.
In goblin: "I do not wish to harm your tribe or ants, but if you force us, we will unleash a blight of death on your village."
Sparhawk pulls out his longsword and shield, salutes, and prepares for battle.
"I am the slayer of queen Zalkore Al-Gharib, and of the might T-Rex. It is my honor to fight you, but heed my warning, my sword is sharp."
