Sparhawk's clever ploy bears fruit, as the voice of Queen Grabstab calls out from her hut "Fool, I'll have a brood twice as large again befire the next rainy season, plus whatever goodies you've brought along with you!"
Despite whatever cunning made her the leader if the antbite tribe, it seems her arrogance couldn't keep her from impugning an outsider, thereby revealing her position (which she might not have ever thought was a secret, but who csn say how the mind of a goblin works?)
(OOC: Does anyone disagree that Sparhawk or another should attack/ subdue the leader? He can get there in one round with Misty step. Otherwise, we can just keep mowing them down I suppose)
Put your spoiler here.<I actually have this encounter in the encounter builder, just for the initiative rolls, but it's not really useful for this because I can't check a box for someone acted snd I'm waiting on the next. It jsut assumes it's in alinrar order. I should really keep the initiative separate from the thread. As it is I just go back to the older post with it and try to figure it out at intervals.>
<You need line of sight. This is a hut. I know it doesn't say "...that you can see", because you can cast GB with your eyes closed, but spells always need line of sight, by default. 'line of effect' - that's what I should have called it.>
(We'll try to combine/ time Tess's action with Sparhawks if it works)
Sparhawk, seeing Tess move toward the hut is suddenly surrounded in a silvery mist, then disappears, only to reappear 30 feet closer to the hut, avoiding the enemy. (Misty Step)
He then moves to the hut with Tess and rams open the door. If he is able to enter with Tess, he will, trying to get partial cover from the hut.(Strength check: 24, hopefully, shattering the door into pieces for dramatic effect, hulk style).
(If he still has an action, he will attack to subdue the woman goblin leader, if not, Tess can complete her action I hope: To hit: 26, and to hit: CRIT: Nat 20: 29: Subdual/ non leathal damage: 15 and 15 for the crit.)
In goblin loudly to the whole group "I don't want to kill her, but I will if you do not stop attacking my friends NOW! This will be my final warning to your tribe." He says, with deadly calm and seriousness in his tone. "The vengeance of Marduk will be without mercy."
<Normally breaking down a door would be an acrion, but for cinematic purposes, we'll make it a free action this time.>
*two goblins always stand guard outside* (not on the map because they're on the opposite side, where rhe door faces inward to the center of the village, making them previously out if sight, until misty step puts you beside the door.)
As the door flies into the hut 🛖 Queen Grabstab, who wears red robes and a bronze and adamantine medallion, calls out to her tribe, "Praštit!"
Hearing the most important command to the tribes survival, the reaction is immediate, and a nearby goblin slashes a vine
The other four goblins in the hut crase bickering with one another and run screaming to grab the walls. The queen grabs her throne tightly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
To protect themselves against giant carnivores, the goblins built the important structures of the village atop a “net” of strong, supple tree branches bound together with vines. The net is rigged to a heavy tree, bent down like a giant spring. When a predator threatens to overrun the village, goblins cut the vine and the entire village is rolled into a ball and flung a thousand yards (>½ mile) over the jungle! The huts inside are cushioned from impact by layers of leaves and moss; damage to the flexible structures can be repaired, and most of the village’s precious totems, food, basketwork, and spare weapons are saved.
The bent-down tree that launches the village is anchored at a point not far from where Cha!jil and Gellakress stand. The launch is triggered by cutting the thick vine. The entire mechanism is well camouflaged to prevent intruders from sneaking in and launching the village as a surprise attack.
As the village is scooped up by the net, the goblins within the hut and those without begin to scream wildly. The whole of the village, wrapped with many soft leaves, is dark and the articles within fall to the ceiling, the walls and back to the floor several times in the course of the minite the ball thst is Yellyark flies over the jungle. Yo7 feel it in your stomach as the ball reaches its zenith and begins free falling back to the ground. The impact is sudden, but not as hard as yiu might have imagined. The trees struck by the village yeikd somewhat before many snap, others just bend to the ground unbroken, as they have while wheathering great storms past. The mass of leaves falls loosely about as the vines slack, partially unfurling the net.
Make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 26 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

One of the guards is dead. All the remainimg goblins are hurt, but all scramble to escape the mash of vines and leaves and disheveled guts and their contents.
(All players near Sparhawk in the ball get +3 to their save here: (IF Sparhawk can use his athletics skill, he rolled a nat 20. If dex only for save: he rolled a 8 and takes 26 damage.)
Both swarms of ants are still active, but many individual insects have perished, (of mechanical note, more than half of each swarm remain).
Meanwhile, back where Yellyark stood, 18 goblins and 4 swarms of ants continue to battle Cha!jil and Gellakress, though their current state of confusion and panic makes it hard to predict just what each will do next.
While I deal with those, what are Sparhawk and Tess up to?

Spoiler
I think this goblin queen is probably a lot like the Hive Queens of Ender's Game. Except, maybe she's the one with the Little Doctor.
<I think they're all standing but one, but you can hit all these targets, prone or not, AD won't matter.>
Cha!jil batters a trio if goblins, one is fatally wounded in the attack.
An excellent book!

I think we're still waiting on Tess.
So, is someone going to try for the hut or are we just going with more goblinslaughter?
(Likely the cap will go for the leader in his turn unless someone else does, Sparhawk has only gone 2x, will act after Tess)

We'll give Tess a little longer.
(sorry all! Tess heads towards the hut of the leader, brandishing her staff. “we have no wish to kill. we want to speak- but you leave us no choice.”
A bolt of light shoots from her staff (guiding bolt 27 to hit, 10 damage ) and hits the leader, surrounding them with a glow. “Yield”. she says
