I guess I need to know how far up and back the cavern goes. And I was wrong, Tenebril only has Create Bonfire. It does Not explicitly call out being a light source. But a campfire is a light source and this is supposed to be bigger than a campfire so it's been left up to the individual DM as to whether it adds light or not. I wish they would just add a line saying "It acts as a campfire of similar size"
Players are up. These guys dont do anything else, not yet. The exploding ground would be a check for anyone withon 20ft, but nobody was. So, players are up.
The human escapes the grapple, bit now he's just inches away from the Maw.
The joking paladin becomes very serious as the huge monstrosity emerges from the depths. Strangely and with grim determination, he advances directly to the thing, drawing sword and shield and saluting it: "I am Sparhawk, a knight of the Pandion order. My heart will be the agent of justice, my sword the instrument of vengeance."(Bonus action: Vow of Enmity)
Do we need to figure out a light source for the rest of the party? Looks likeTess had the latern and oil. Not sure what else she had that's needed for the story
As the fighter is yanked off his feet, Gharzun moves without hesitation. The monstrous form pulling him in—a twisted fusion of stone and hunger—draws his full attention. The hammer is already in motion by the time his boots strike the wet stone beneath him.
“Hold fast!” he calls out, voice echoing like a command across the stone-choked chamber. “I see it!”
He surges forward, bringing his warhammer down with unrelenting force. The blow lands squarely against the monster's side, and divine light erupts from the impact—radiant fire roaring down the hammer’s length and into the creature’s hide. The cavern pulses with the light of his wrath, casting shadows like spears between the stone columns.
“Release him, beast!”
He follows through with another strike, driving the hammer in again, though the angle is tighter and the footing less secure. Still, he does not slow.
Tenebril, seeing that he has a creature above him will immediately blast it to try to get it as far away from him as he can and then he will fly down a bit to put farther space between it and himself.
I pull out my short sword and dagger and attack the roper that grabbed me
edit: I rolled a 13 and have a plus ten to hit cause the uncommon magic item I have is a +1 short sword so a 23 to hit and for damage a rolled a 4 plus 6 for 10 damage and then I will attack with my dagger cause it’s light and I have two weapon fighting I rolled a nine for the dagger with a plus nine to hit is 18 then I rolled a 1 for damage then cause I have three attacks I will attack with my short sword two more times the first one was a 23 to hit with 8 damage and then a 22 to hit for 10 damage so another 18 points of damage
