Prepare to die for it." and charges forward, basing himself with the demon as he summons a sword of darkness in his other hand, swinging it down upon the demon in a devastating cut fueled by anger. {Shadow Blade to hit: Natural 20 (rolled in game log as eldritch blast, damage: 43 Psychic damage.} Baron glares at the demon, "One last chance, drop the rod and leave. Wysaleth points his wand at the demon, summoning a big orb of cold energy to hit him right in the chest. "You must be pretty naive, to think you can defeat us, fiend."
Mostly the underdark is known for its darkness. There are occasional areas of dim light from bioluminescent fungi, but moatly its dark. Most 5e PCs have darkvision, in practice, so it only occasioanlly comes up.

<see, i k ew i was havi g trouble tracking this. 1st acruon if comabt was intimidation, followi g tbe 2024 rules on it. Then demon tentacke whip, then we had a cold attack and a flyby and i think Grudaxk dodnt go? Then weve got one dark sword attack, rhen should be the denon again. Barons last poat would be all the way in round three and were at the top of round two. What id he casys dispel magic on the sword or PWS? This is a possibke retcon. Again, thia is me funbling initiative here.>
<So, this is what I thought. The Demon and I were negotiating. The intimidation attempt was part of the negotiating, and the tentacle attack was the start of combat. I figure that the other two, not directly involved, did not take actions that turn. Then, the next round began with Baron summoning the shadow blade and attacking the Demon. Grudak's turn was the owl's flyby. Idk why, but when the Demon yelled in response to my attack I thought he acted. Then came my attack at the start of round 3. Unless the demon's action is influential, I will keep my current action after he acts.>
( Ugh, bad way to start initiative, attacking with an enemy's resistance. Well, i have other spells i can use, at least. and chromatic lets me change the damage type, so all good.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
<Thanks for your oatience, everyone. I told grudak to just wait for the end of the long rest period. Since the demon only has basic melee attacks (dull), the rod and spells, im going to do spwlls. It feels impossible to not mwtaganw if i know the next move from the opposition, but i do want to cast a spell, so Im just going to roll for it 3. 1=Baron, 2=Wyselath (if applicable) 1>

You can go. I was counting that futile intimidation chek as the action for round 1.
Baron ✅️
Glabrezu ✅️
Grudak + owl ▶️
Wyselath ✅️

{The owl familiar can fly in the face of the demon and take the help action, using flyby to escape danger.}

I see. I got confused when i saw a Wyselath initiative. Is he resting or under initiative?
Interrupting the Rest. A Long Rest is stopped by the following interruptions:
Rolling Initiative
Casting a spell other than a cantrip
Taking any damage
1 hour of walking or other physical exertion
Initiative above now includes owl and Grudak.

Lv 4 Chromatic orb
Attac: 17 Damage: 30 COLD damage
Question, are we in dim light?

Wyseleth took a 4 rest to begin, then went out with Baron, so he should be good for initiative.
Owl will use flyby to grant advantage on an attack against the enemy.

Alright. Thanks!

Baron rears back with the shadow blade again, hacking at the demon, knowing the faster it dies, the better.
{attack* (rolled in char. sheet as eldritch blast):
4,17+8=25 to hit for 20 psychic damage.}*When you make an attack with the shadow blade in dim light or darkness, you have advantage.

(ooc- the player of grudak hasn't commented on 3 days. So it might be just Baron, Wyseleth, and the owl against the Glabrezu)
